I rather like the ending we got fits much better in the world of violence we got. It would be weird for a captured spy to not cap themselves in that universe.

Something I don’t think a lot of people noticed, she might not actually be dead. Someone that looks EXACTLY like her shows up during the finale right as Princess and Ange are pulling their switcheroo, and she’s conspicuosly keeping her head down.
