I wish Ann's route had focused more on Shiho and less on the random model. Seemed like there was enough meat there to work with without coming up with a new character whole stock.

'Cept Shiho is basically the crux of everything Ann does, she never fails to instantly turn the topic about Shiho and the last half of Ann's social link is also about Shiho.
I'd say they're canon, to me at least.

BUT THEY ADDED LIKE TWO WHOLE NEW CHARACTERS (one of which is a whole new party member) WHO ARE VOICED WITH NEW LINES SO IT'S NOT EVEN THAT.....hmmm I might be more salty than I thought...
anyways, here's to hoping p6 will have a femprotag and lots of yuri options...mayhaps that might be too much to hope for but I can dream for now

Persona should just make their game like do summon night. Give you both male and female characters and let you chose who ever and your links you want to be with.

We will sooner see yaoi in Persona than yuri, be assured of that. The majority harping on gay couples are fujoshis. The best solution would be to make a female MC so you can at least date everyone depending on gender, but even that is too much work.
P3P was actually the closest to yuri, because Aigis doesn't care about your gender.
@Swag Wagon That would kinda interfere with all the people who picked Ann as their lover though...

^ It's mostly because, as much as I hate the term and the connotations around it, the "heteronormativity" of the Persona franchise and JRPGs in general the option to date nearly all the female characters is always there, but it doesn't mean you have to take them. The only time it was "required" was for a 100% run of P3. I feel it's just a quirk of the gameplay having to work it's way into story and roleplaying.
Aside from that, there's always been some awkwardness when it comes to some specific social links. Like Naoto and having to deal with Kanji's obvious crush on her. And the whole she's your teacher and that's literally ILLEGAL thing with Kawakami.
Plus, when I say canon, it's really just an exaggeration. My yuri goggle prescription is pretty strong and when I say something is canon I just really really want it to be true. My personal headcanon on the whole Ann/Shiho thing is Ann is living in a glass closet. She's totally gay, but doesn't know it yet, so of course she's gonna go out with a few guys before she does realize it

I wish Atlus would just embrace the gay already because holy shit Yosuke bullying Kanji during Persona 4 was NOT FUN (I love/hate this game for so many reasons). I'm a bit scared for how they will handle Catherine full body (very clumsily I'm guessing)
