I do find Mashu quite boring (the glasses don't help either), but I'll be damned if this picture doesn't make me appreciate this ship.

I've noticed that the Fate/X pictures frequently also just use Protagonist as the character name. Is it just because you can choose what you want to name the character in the games and there's not a true canon name for her? I see her referred to as "Gudako" a lot, but maybe that's just a nickname?

^The main character in Fate/Grand Order does not have a canon name. You pick it yourself for maximum self-insert power. The movies at least gave the male version the name Ritsuka Fujimaru. Gudao(male) and Gudako(female) are nicknames given to them based on the comedic F/GO promotional show "Fate/GudaGuda".

Actually, "Ritsuka Fujimaru" is the canon name for the female version of the protagonist as well, since it's used for her in the stage play adaptation. This evokes the same situation with "Hakuno Kishinami" (the protag of Fate/Extra).

^Welp. I neither knew nor wanted to know that this got a stage play. What is it with Japan and random stage plays anyway. Oh and the name's not canon unless it is canon to the games. Everything else is an adaptatiion after all. At least with Hakuno that's the name in all materials, even if you can pick you own name.

The name is canon. It's used in the manga as well. Anyway both the male and female versions are the same so of course they would use the same name.

^It's the same situation as with Persona protagonists. They don't have canon names. They have names that are used in spin-offs for the sake of having one, but they aren't canon. Like with Persona 3 where manga, anime and game had different preset names...

^ what you said would make sense if all forms of media, besides the game, for FGO all didn't name the protagonist Ritsuka Fujimaru.
