I have made the internal rule for myself that whenever they appear in their "human" form its an alternate reality where they are alive. Makes life waaaay easier.

Why does it matter if they're undead or not? Also I'm not sure how creating a fictional head canon where they're alive makes things "easier", that just sounds like an unnecessarily convoluted way of justifying something you might think is morally wrong. Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess, but I just think the method that makes life easier is to simply not care in cases like this. Cute girls kissing are cute, regardless of if they're zombies, ghosts, werewolves, centaurs, and so fourth.

^Calm your udders. It's not morally wrong. I am just not into corpses. Zombies are way more messy than most other undead (eg vampires). Zombification also makes a lot of the things displayed impossible (blushing for one), so it's a headache easily avoided by just saying they are alive.

^That's the appeal for the jokes and plot. Not for the romance aspect. Heck there are extensive parts of the episodes where this is just a standard idol anime. Where they look alive and just have normal idol stuff going on. While we are at it, the show doesn't take it's own premise very seriously either, they are barely like most zombies in fiction (reminds me more of 'Kore wa zombie desu ka?'). Except for the occasional thing that would kill a normal person, they might as well be wearing zombie make-up.

I should have asked "Does BugDevil make changes in his head canon because he thinks it's morally wrong?". Would have come across as more relaxed conversation I imagine. Yeah undead in theory wouldn't blush, but I don't mind a story where undead do blush, since it's all fictional anyhow. I have no problem with people's head canons, it just seemed like a weird over-complicated justification to me. At the end of the day, they're cute, the art here is cute. It's all cute, so who really cares? That's all. My "udders" are perfectly cold as it's below freezing, have a nice day/night everyone :).
