I see this as Nemoto x Yuri and Tomoko is their kid.
I think in the series Yuri is supposed to be pretty like a model or actress -easily as pretty as Asuka or Fuuka - but doesn't dress up, use make-up, isn't gregarious. She's as isolated as Tomoko (or as she was), proving Tomoko being a mojyo wasn't the problem.
