Thinking about it, Bowsette and Artoria Lancer Alter have a lot in common: Blonde, horns, tail, bosomy, king, gender bend of preexisting character, tall, a son, a gf who's a princess...

Sorry Moedred is not a science baby. She is canonically a magic baby. Merlin's d*ck sprouting magic to be precise. And that sounded worse than it is, while simultaneously being just as bad as it sounds. Poor Guinevere.

I'd say she's still a science baby in so much as she wasn't a result of Arthuria actually having sex with anyone as Morgana steeling some sperm and making a test-tube baby/homunculus. ... Now, if you don't mind, I need to go question the life choices that led to me writing that sentence.

^Oh I'm aware that there was no sexual act commited (which really makes a line in the original F/SN visual novel very questionable). That's why I said poor Guinevere. Got no real husband, wasn't loved, had to raise a baby that she didn't even conceive. I'd still say that it's magic more than science, but sometimes the two are hard to tell apart.

@BugDevil: Actually, I believe that Morgan was the one who raised Mordred. Artoria and Guinevere never met Modred until she joined the Knights of the Round Table as a teenager.

^Woah, seriously? This new lore is getting complicated. Kinda contradicts a lot of points in the myth (and Mordred's motivation), but alas things keep getting piled on top of each other.

To be fair, the Fate version of events was established a while ago. Mordred's character and raison d'etre is elaborated on more in Fate/Apocrypha, but basically Morgan le Fay is a terrible mother - and person in general - and can be blamed for everything.

^Aye, but the last time I read Apocrypha they still didnt translate the second damn novel. I ain't touching the anime before I read it. Should probably check for it in the near future.
As for who's to blame... I think there are a few more factors involved than just Morgan. The battle of Camlann is definitely just as much Arturia's fault.

Well, Fate is taking liberties with myth in the first place. So changes to it are bond to happen here and there. For starters, in Fate Arthur actually existed as a person and was a woman that was hiding her gender so... Same for other legendary heroes that actually lived and are not just, well, legends. Gods are for real and magic exist. Fate doesn't take place in the same history as ours, despite being based on it.
And well about Mordred and Morgan Le Fay. Arthurian legends had few versions to begin with and changed a lot over time. But from what I am aware, the Fate version is not that far off from actual legend. Morgan is plotting to take over throne and will stop at nothing. She wanted to brainwash Mordred to do it for her, but even Mordred was like, bitch you crazy, I ain't listening to you. The reason Mordred betrayed Arthur was more because, when (s)he learned (s)he is Arthur's (daughter) son, (s)he wanted him to acknowledge (her) him, but when Arthur refused, that is what pissed (her) him off and made (her) him decided to betray him.
