Now now. The original turn of events is completely justified and set up by everything that came before. It is not a method to drag the manga out, this was always expected to happen, hence why Yuu was so afraid to confess in the first place.
However, this alternate take on it can't be completely dismissed either. If Touko was just a little bit further down her development, she might have been able to overcome her insecurities right here.

i don´t really like this alternative version because cuts off one of the most important parts of nanamis personality
the fear of being tied by someones love and expectations hence why she loves yuu beacuase she can´t love her back (at first) yet she is so kind to her
so she just acepting yuu feelings like that makes no sense and make pointless 80 % of the manga that bluntly tells you about all of that but again than only would make sense to you if you acutually read the manga

This turn of events is still not completely impossible. Yuu already sent Touko on the way to accept herself and get over her insecurities. It was just still too early. If in this alternate take Touko had an epiphany and accepted Yuu (even if after this scene there will still be drama) I don't think that is too farfetched. Both versions work. The canon one will be continuing for a while, so we'll get here, just a bit later.

@BugDevil: Well I think 'Benja' being frustrated is understandable. Sure this route isn't impossible, but for someone to simply dismiss the progress of the manga and character growth as "mere drama that the author is dragging out" is rather insulting to the series and the author in my opinion. It's very assumptive and ignores so much of the fantastic build up we've gotten, so I understand why Benja and anyone deeply invested in the story and characters would be frustrated with someone writing off so much of the story in such a blase way. The way the manga is building up character personalities and the entire relationship is so far excellent, again my opinion.
We're getting a build up that feels like it'll have genuine pay off and when they finally get together in the manga it will hopefully be a highly satisfying peak of development, which will finish the series off on a very high note that should have a lasting and memorable impact on many of the readers.

@FluffyCow Well, as my comment above reveals, I agree that the original development is absolutely correct and fair and well set up. I too disagreed that this is happening just to drag the manga out. I get his frustration with such a dismissive statement.
Basically I am not defending either commenter here, I'm defending the scenarios, as both are viable to me (with no rating of which is better).

I can more or less agree with you that both scenarios are potentially viable, but I'm also saying in Benja's defense here I think some level of frustration is acceptable when you're really in love with a series, and then someone comes along that seemingly doesn't appreciate a lot of the writing and build up. I think Benja wasn't rude, just very passionate.
I think you, Benja, and myself are all looking forward to seeing how the manga continues from it's current point and we're all curious to see how it will conclude. Hopeful and excited is how I would describe my current feelings toward the manga.

Damn, I finally made an f'n account. Now, I have visited this site and read comments for quite a while now, but finally I can make one:
This fanart is f***ing killing me! On one hand, I wish this was how it went, but on the other, I know it's very unlikely, and will likely make for an anti-climactic ending, so I guess it's better to just wait some more. At least we've got the anime every Friday and I can also pass the time studying or watching memes, history or mapping.

@FluffyCow indeed i wasn´t triying to be rude i just want to explain why i think the last arc isn´t just drama to drag the series and i end up saying too much because i really think this is a great manga every chapter i read gets me more intrigued on the story and i´d also describe my feelings towards the manga as hopeful and excited also i think the fact that troyca adapt yagakimi is a gigant step for the yuri comunity

but i´d say that the original IN MY OPINION( i´m putting it on capitals so everybody gets it) is the superior version because even if touko got ove her identity crisis on the play arc that doesn´t mean she got over the hedgehog dilemma
(i don´t think the hedgehog dilemma perfectly fits touko´s problem but it would be too long to explain and involves touko actually being a a pretty selfish and bad person so lets go along with the hegdehog dilemma)
because again IN MY OPINION those are separate issues and solving one doesn´t mean you solve the other as well so i think it makes more sense that touko solve one issue first and then the other one

So many arguments, and each side has a valid point. Both scenarios have merrit, but the original is more in character with Nanami Senpai. I think the artist showed their love for the series in their own way. I like this little strip.
