I always appreciated that Shampoo didn't care (much) which gender Ranma was, unlike the rest.

Ranma's hilarious and not as dragged out as Inuyasha. Should give it a read if you have time to waste.
This was one of my favorite ships when I was a kid. Shampoo genuinely cared for Ranma, where as Akane was a bit abusive.
Shampoo is cute, but I remember Ranma being annoyed by her
