Eh, you say underwhelming, but what else could happen? It's a silly comedy 4koma about lolis, not exactly expecting a huge ending. They got married and will have magic science babies, and there was a bunch of jokes, what more could you want really.

Besides, it'd already ran for 3 volumes. Very much doubt they could have stretched the subject out much longer. Perfect length imo.

Speaking of manga statuses I've been noticing several lately which seem to have no status at all making it unclear whether they're complete or not. Is that supposed to happen?

We try to tag them when we can, but sometimes its unclear as to whether or not a story is ongoing or dropped, especially with things like doujins and Pixiv uploads, those kind of things.

Considering he has been banned multiple times for his insane rants and arguments, to allow them onto the site in the form of a credits page is ridiculous. Between letting him find a workaround the issue and not uploading it at all, it was the best decision to simply remove it in the end.
