That last page, the one with the crocs, for some reason I got the feeling that they were kissing.

Also, would sci-fi tag be used here if we assume that they're robots or at least androids?

There's no indication that there's actually robots involved. Just good ol' science.

Am I the only one who noticed? No robots, just a good old fashioned control device installed in the brain stem ala many sci/fi stories, as seen in panel one on this page

I only have one ex. We broke up with bad feelings, lies, and lies from a third party. But it wasn't too awfully long till we mostly cleared lies and misunderstandings away and became friends again.

Time passed... then I wanted to get back together but she didn't. More time passed... now she wanted to get back together but I didn't. Still more time has passed... and we're good friends and both agree that we're much better as friends than we ever were as lovers.

That's two exes, mine and one of hers, that wanted to get back together. (Though it never happened.)

Edit: I haven't even read any of chapter 12 or beyond in the Japanese yet, so don't take this as meaning that the ex in the story is trying to get back together. I simply don't know.

Can you give us a link? The links I used to use to get to FlashWings don't seem to do the trick anymore.

Here:

Kaede is one common reading of that kanji. Other possibilities include Fuu, Fuwa, and Momiji. Until the artist tells us the reading, we don't know for sure.

(And what am I doing reading a manga like this one!? Well I guess it must be because I also think it's a unique take on the subject.)

Hello everyone. So I just checked SSamba's blog and it seems like they posted something new. I can't read korean at all, so I can't tell what they are saying (I tried Google translate and it was, well.. you see). Is there someone here who'd be kind enough to translate it, please ?

Drama and senpais aside, does anyone know if the song from chapter 3 ("you in the dusk" by tomo) is a real song? I tried searching for it, but I think that even if it was real, a search in English wouldn't get me very far, and google translate is hardly reliable.

In Japanese, the song's name is 夕焼けとキミ Yuuyake to Kimi. When I searched for the Japanese text, I found several occurrences of the phrase, but nothing that looked like a song with that name. So it doesn't seem to be a real song.

However, it might be a reference to a real song by a singer with Tomo in her name. 夕焼け is often used in song lyrics. If it is a reference, I'm not going to take the effort to track it down right now.

Thank you very much for the correction! It was my first time editing (and actually my first time using photoshop in general so I probably made a lot of mistakes, pardon me if I did...

In that case you didn't do too badly, if this really was your first time using Photoshop.

Try to give text the correct perspective, if it exists in the actual scene (it's "diegetic"). You can skew a textlayer by holding ctrl and moving the handles at the sides of the textbox. If the text is supposed go on, and be aligned with a rectangular surface (e.g. a sign), then all you have to do is make the sides parallel with the sides of the sign and then move the text to it's final position.
If the surface has perspective distortion, however (opposite sides are parallel in the scene, but they're not parallel on paper due to perspective), then skewing is not enough. You can give text a perspective transformation by converting it to a shape and then using free transform. Move the corners of the shape to the position of the corners of the surface it's supposed to go on to establish the correct perspective. Then scale the shape by moving the handles of the side to give it the correct dimensions while preserving the correct perspective.
The downside of the method is that you basically have to start over if you make a single mistake; Photoshop doesn't really have good tools for this as far as I know. Illustrator may be a better choice but I've never tried that. In the case of this page it was a bit more difficult, too, because the letter had a fold in the middle.

Other than the perspective stuff, try to use a suitable font for different situations. For example, use a handwritten font for stuff that is supposed to be handwritten, etc. (I used "KG La Belle Aurore" here.)
Also, outlines make things look like they're not part of the scene (think sound effects). Did Serina really put an outline around her letters? Probably not.

If you liked the correction, feel free to update the file on Dynasty with my edit.

When I had to do something similar (http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/the_last_uniform_ch30) I probably did it the hard way. (I'm using an old version of photoshop, and I didn't realize at the time you could make text into a shape, or maybe I just didn't wan't to try warping a shape like that.)

I drew lines along the paper edges and folds, then rotated those lines till the center fold line was vertical. Then I made a copy of the text layer and rasterized it. Then I warped the left and right sides of the rasterized text separately to match the lines. Then I rotated the rasterized text to match the page, and finally hid the lines and the original text layer so that I could use them again if I ever wanted to edit that text.

A really minor point, on page 16 when Hana says "pouch," this usage actually means "handbag." (See chapter 1 page 6.) But this is up to the translator I suppose, since English speakers do occasionally use the word pouch to mean handbag, just not very often.

Ahh, they're both so jealous, and both hurting because of it. But jealousy at that level can only mean they've both fallen for each other.

Far as I can tell, Rival and Kase-san isn't part of volume 3 (Shortcake to Kase-san), which starts with ch11, so it's hard to place where it goes publication wise (chronologically it takes place just before ch8).
Basically trying to figure out the actual numbering of this series is confusing.

Maybe put it in extras with chapter 5.5 and 6? Or put it next to Christmas and Kase-san which currently has it's own unnamed section?

It is "previous versions" not "chapter". I assume it is the first released version of the chapter 11.5 and later author made newer one. Or that is just a mistake on part of the uploader.

You've done a good job and I enjoy reading your translation. And I'll definitely buy the licensed volumes when they come out. (And the Japanese versions too.)

But I still miss the Fly by Yuri version. But she just flatly refuses to work on currently licensed manga, that b****! Wait... hold on a sec... isn't that b****, I mean that girl me!?? Ah, never mind.

But seriously, please heed the credits page and buy the manga so that we can have more wonderful manga like this one.

Lordy, I wish there were any yuri stories with at least one of the protags being a trans woman... I've tried to rake through pixiv's yuri & girls' love tags and p much all the characters are written as cis (with the exception of futa, but that's just a fetish, or then theres when a male character gets physically transformed). And good lord, if I could find something western which was decent evough with storytelling, I'd jump on it...

It's not western and you may have already seen it, but try Mermaid Line ch06: Ayumi and Aika 1 and Mermaid Line ch07: Ayumi and Aika 2. I really loved that story.

The first 10 pages were ultra adorable. First time skip made no sense whatsoever. Author honestly should either skip it or put more thought into it/flesh it out better cos it only ended up as a mess that overshadows the great first half.

I had no problem with the time skips; I liked the way the story jumped forward to show how things worked out. This was an extremely cute story. I liked it a lot.

The random chapter feature strikes gold!

I had totally forgotten about this little story by Morishima-sensei. It's really good.

Official translations are rarely quick, but I'm looking forward to it and have already ordered Volume 1. (Of course that won't stop me from looking through the Japanese to see what's coming. I promise, it's really engrossing.)

Sorry I'm not continuing this one, but it's always been my intent to step aside for the official release when it came. I just didn't expect it this soon.

Since Seven Seas licensed this one a few days ago, I no longer plan on continuing the scanlation. Of course, if they do the unthinkable and drop it before it's done (but that won't happen) I'll do any volumes that they don't.

So Kiko wasn't real... That means there's only 10 Oddman?
But wait... I've always thought that Setsu was the 12th Oddman. I mean she recovers from severe physical injury by curling up in a comic book store for crying out loud! (From one of the early chapters.) Then maybe she'll turn out to be the real 11th Oddman? Just a passing thought.
