They are so aware of each other, but at the same time SO UNAWARE, HINOKA, C'MON

Oh, I think Hinoka is fully aware of what she’s doing. She’s switched to attack mode. May God have mercy of poor Tsukushi’s heart.

I'm sorry but Kaoru-tan is 100% going to get stabbed

Or destitute herself with her prostitute addiction. Either way, it will be cause for much celebration when it happens. Girl is nuttier than a bowl of cashews.

Wowzers, that was an exposition-heavy chapter. I liked it, though. It’s interesting that Evie seems to have wound up in the “good” timeline, what with her mother not dying and father not going power-mad. I wonder what changed for her mother. Maybe it’s related to the villainess system?

Wasn't the previous timeline manipulated by the future Elsa? Not sure this timeline is the "good" one anymore, Evie's mother might not be safe this time around... I feel like that's the implication in this chapter.

Oh no, I was talking about the timeline Evie initially experienced being the good one, not the one she just got sent into (although I’m not entirely convinced that this one will be that much worse). Also, do we know how much of Evie’s life future Elsa was actually involved in? It seemed like she didn’t show up until relatively recently in the story.

I think the door is vibrating.

Ok i think thats it.

On looking back, as soon as they entered the appartment top girl backed her sub GF into the front door.
So if she did as she was told, we can assume she is leaning on the front door inside. And the door seems to have a few 'motion' lines drawn on it.

Yeah. Pretty sure there’s some “vigorous activity” going on on the other side of that door.

Also, this chapter does seem to confirm that the isekai’d OL has been Evie for much longer than just her teenage years.

Huh, guess she didn’t go to the concert after all. Didn’t think they were meeting at the venue, but it makes sense.

Also, yes, Chizuru. Open you heart to the world of rock.

^^ It’s older slang for beating or outperforming someone. Like, if you run a 9 minute mile, and someone else runs an 8 minute mile, then they “topped” you. I think the term is still used on occasion, but it’s fallen out of favor ever since its more sexual usage became more widespread.

I'm with other people in thinking that it wasn't actually cheating, but a difference of expectations and a lack of communication on Mao's part.

Just because Mao loves other women doesn't mean she didn't genuinely love Hikaru. Some people do be like that. Their feelings are not necessarily shallow, but they have a lot to share and don't feel like limiting themselves to a single person.

Saying "I love you" doesn't mean "I love you exclusively" in my book.

It reminds me of Tsuzuki in Brides of Iberis, who was in an open relationship with two men, and would have had no problem adding a woman. But Kashiwai was more of a monogamous person, so they broke things amicably in the end.

The only thing we can reproach to Mao here is that she didn't make things clear from the start.

That’s still cheating, though. If you enter into a sexual/romantic relationship with someone, while already being in a similar relationship with someone else, you’re cheating unless you’ve already talked it through with the other parties and gotten their okay. Without having discussed it first, being poly is not an excuse. Wanting to just be fuck-buddies is not an excuse. Being unclear about it, and then casually mentioning it once you’re about to be caught, is not an excuse. It’s just callous, selfish, shitty behavior.

Shit, now you’ve got me preaching. Long story short, there’s more than a few things about Mao that are worthy of reproach here.

I expected this to be about hip hop gangsta girls, not Al-Capone-style gangsta girls.

I feel kinda cheated.

the difference between gangsta and gangster is but a few letters away

Wanted this:
Snipped
Got this:
Double snipped
So...

Better or not?

YMMV

Pffft.

I’m sorry, but I found that second picture to be so goofy-looking to me. They’re trying so hard to look sexy and dangerous, but leotards, bras, and balaclavas just don’t work together.

But yeah, I’ll take mafia over gangsta, personally

Where did the actual child Evie go then?

Probably went to the same place the adult Evie went to when the player took over her body at the beginning of the story. Let's not forget "Evie" wasn't truly Evie but an isekai'd otaku woman from Earth.

How old was she when the isekai version took over? Had this kid Evie already been taken over?

I think she was fairly young. She clearly remembers being with her father and Garth when she was a child, and there’s also a bit about how she made sure to learn a variety of skills because she knew she would need them once the plot began. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has lived most, if not all, of Evie’s life up to this point.

Haha, yeah I know (that's also the typical pattern). But that's part of the point though, since I think it should be clearer to readers that this is likely just an avenue to provide more backstory and reaffirm their relationship (while also handling the system plot that's been put aside for a bit). I mean Elsa talked about a kiss from when they were younger that Evie didn't remember and I imagine we will see that (we need to because the story didn't address that "loss of memory yet" and it wasn't a throw away line).

Ironically, that would make the writing worse. An author isn’t supposed to tell readers what the point of an arc is. That’s for the readers to discover on their own.

This series was so cute with all the suggestive bullying. There was no foreshadowing to the evil wolves and this whole saving the world from some random wolves seems so contrived. I'm so sorry but the story was better when it didn't take itself too seriously. Well, anyway the main couple is still cute.

Didn’t the series begin with the System telling Evie to either push Elsa off a roof or else watch a mysterious force do it instead? It’s not like this series hasn’t scattered hints about some sinister force just behind all the cutesy romance stuff.

Oh sweet! We’re finally going to get to see the promise Elsa keeps talking about. That’s my best guess, at least. What that has to do with the future apocalypse, I have no idea.

You know, I could see this being the start of a pretty neat series.

The angsty story of the former maid, set a few months after this one, as she tries to keep herself and her brother alive in a country beset by all the turmoil revolution brings (quarreling revolutionary factions, hostile neighbors looking to uphold the ancien regime or fulfill their own ambitions, widespread crime and poverty), all while struggling to cope with her grief over betraying someone dear to her. Then a new girl walks into her life, and the maid starts to feel things she hasn’t in a long time.

Bonus points if the new girl is somehow involved in the politics of the new country (maybe a revolutionary or minor noble who somehow survived the purge), so the story can cut between romance a political intrigue.

All the angst here about the intrusion of the classmate and the logistics of her anal self-pleasuring seem to ignore just how literally sketchy and spontaneous (I was going to say “tossed-off,” but decided against it) the story has been from the beginning—the dashed-off art and the text-only transitions indicate that this isn’t supposed to be a completely plausible narrative set in fully realized storyworld. The story looks like it’s just a fast-food delivery container for scenes that the mangaka wants to draw.

I suspect that this story serves as the mangaka’s relief valve for all the serious NSFW impulses bottled up from Virgin’s Empire. Sometimes an author’s work isn’t primarily for you, it’s for them.

Even if the work is low effort and primarily for the author, that doesn’t make it immune from comment. If you put a work out to the public, they are allowed to comment on it, and if that work takes the form of a story, then they are allowed to talk about the pacing feeling off or the sudden insertion of a third character taking away their enjoyment.

Nice! Glad it's a continuation of previous one, plus now it's official that Koga has her bedroom in top of the CD store; one that.....is not soundproof it seems hahaha tho they were being loud hahaha
Now Im curious (tho not important) how is that place constructed, but given Aya reaction, it's in a way that doesn't resemble like you're "passing" from a store to a "house", that or Aya was just to angry to care hahaha

I’m guessing it’s a mixed-use building. The first floor is the shop, while the second floor is an apartment with a bedroom or two.

Huh. The author’s moving a bit fast with this one. Normally, you’d imagine the third wheel/voyeur character getting introduced after the main gets some time alone. This just feels like poor pacing.

The bar patron peanut gallery is already my favorite character.

Also, can we just mention the utter GALL of that guy to take a date into a bar where his girlfriend is a regular, after he was introduced to the staff at said bar. He might as well have jumped into a lion’s den.

Hold on

How the heck can this be the way to the door of truth if Melissas master got to it without doing any of this?

I’m pretty sure that opening the Door of Truth requires a large amount of power. Maybe Melissa’s master was able to raise her power high enough to open the door without having to do the whole contest song-and-dance, and the contest is just designed to give a couple that isn’t quite at that power the last little boost they need?

Now the tickets are wasted, WASTED

It was RHCP, there might be a next time...

Considering she didn’t show up until after the show would have ended, I’m assuming she went (because at that point you’re just wasting the tickets if you don’t go), and went to yell at Mitsuki afterwards.

Chads living up to their name again! I’ve missed this series. I was trying to follow along with the Ganma releases, but I can’t read Japanese and kinda just had to guess what was going on from the pictures. It’ll be nice to actually be able to read the story again.

On that note, some fun news, it looks like Ganma changed the upload schedule for this from biweekly to weekly chapters. Seems like it might be getting popular.

Canon ending to Green Tea Bitch.

Took one look at the character designs, checked the author, and immediately came to the same conclusion as you. This is just an epilogue where the two of them engage in some intricate roleplay.

Casually glossing over bar lady having a threesome with a 14-15yo and a 15-16yo like it's no big deal at all. Yikes.

“But your honor, my client’s a very carnivorous femme top who won’t turn down anyone, so she cannot be blamed for this so-called ‘statutory rape.’”
