Actually, after No-rae's inner dialogue about being a horrible person, I can't see her bringing herself to even try that again even if she wants to try to push Seol-a away. The closest thing I can see is her having a breakdown and crying in Seol-a's arms incoherently about stuff vaguely related to the things she ranted about before.

I agree about No-rae not snapping again! It seems like her entire demeanor has changed since talking with her bro (no longer moody/depressed), so her even getting mildly annoyed at Seol-a seems pretty impossible to me.

But, I've been playing various scenarios across my mind, and I don't think No-rae would be the one to cry. It actually seems (to me) as if Seol-a will...

The way I see it:

Dinner ensues. Seol-a's not eating, so No-rae (feeling guilty) grabs her bowl and piles it up with food and tells her to eat (lol, this is so not happening, but no one can tell me otherwise >->). They don't get a chance to really say much to each other, until they end up in No-rae's room. Before No-rae gets a chance to say anything, Seol-a apologizes, asking No-rae to forgive her, confessing that she didn't know what she did, but she'd fix it. Eventually she (unintentionally) breaks down in the middle of her spiel, and No-rae feels guilty as hell.

The way I see all of this getting resolved, is if No-rae decides to just swallow her feelings and not say anything to Seol-a, deciding it's best to just stay by her side as a friend. Unlike some of the rest of y'all, I don't really see a confession coming in the future (anymore).

Ahhhhh I'm just massively excited for the next chapter though.

Side Note:

Has anyone noticed that No-rae really doesn't hug/touch people unless the other person initiates? Maybe I caught on because I'm the same way (or maybe I'm just seeing things because of that lol).

Super Side Note:

idk who mentioned it, but I would love to see Seol-a and Dong-hwa interact (babysitting!). I had previously just assumed that they (Seol-a and No-rae) would just immediately leave the next day. Not sure how/why they would be babysitting, but I suppose in Ssamba we trust :3

Not at all. Da Vinci Code is really cool and I could totally see people doing that. (I've done it myself lol.) And yeah if I have too. Right now I mostly just do minor maintenance as I don't have the training or experience to restore stuff yet. I just remove rusty staples mostly.

Still!! When it comes to more of the physical stuff, history has been a little bit cool for me! It's always been the book stuff that I've been biased against, but that might have been (like you said) because of a combo of boring teaches and bad books.

Ironically, among my friends I was the one completely set on the notion that 'stuff like this doesn't happen irl'. Then it did. lol. Just goes to show even if something seems improbable, it's certainly not
impossible.

But history really depends on the teacher and how you study it. But read biographies and look into books about certain time periods, people believed, thought, and did some preeetty crazy things! A German king in the Middle Ages didn't like a Pope bossing him around so he told the Pope to shove it. Pope got jelly and called a Crusade against him. Nobody answered! XD... Or the French coffers were empty and they were in debt so they looted and pillaged the Templars for their phat loot.

Info science is archiving, records management, and library type stuff. I mastered in archival and records management. Studying to be an archivist and all that. Cool stuff! For example, I handled an early recreation of The Great Wave from around...errr...the mid-late 1800;s, a book printed by Benjamin Franklin, and a book from... 1586 Leipzig Germany, amongst many other very cool stuff.

OH. THAT ACTUALLY SOUNDS REALLY COOL!! It kind of reminds me of the stuff from the Da Vinci code! (Ah, I'm totally not trying to trivialize your work tho!!). But restoration work? I remember reading something about that being done via tapestries and it taking obscenely long periods of time.

If wiki doesn't lie, one enters the uni at the age of 19 and studies for 4 (bachelor) or 6 years. So they either graduate at 23 or 25, unless there were any breaks that ask for extra years.
As for No-Rae's sister, she could be getting a second degree.

Well, Seol-a is going to try to figure out what's wrong. No-rae made it sound like Seol-a really had done something wrong when she left so she's probably still trying to figure it out. I don't think she blames No-rae just yet, and she knows that No-rae cares about her because she came and got her when she was drunk.

Oh, wow, this is true! I've felt (well, after I calmed down anyways lol) pretty bad for Seol-a this chapter....she looks slightly depressed and apparently that scenario keeps coming back to her. I've gotta give her major props though....if it someone had spouted all of that at me, I'd probably be curled up on my futon in tears.

So if I were Seol-a I'd mostly be worried that No-rae was going to pull another stunt like the one at school but instead in front of family, and it'd be SUPER awkward after already having introduced herself as No-rae's friend. It's probably not that much of a gamble because I doubt it's expected to blow up after just getting home but Seol-a is probably nervous nonetheless because WHAT IF something went wrong and it was embarrassing, awkward, and killed their friendship forever?!

Oh god yeah...I see your point. Now I feel really bad for Seol-a...she is probably one of the bravest characters I've had the pleasure of reading about (in realistic scenarios anyways...none of that Naruto/Bleach stuff lol). I can't even fathom the horror that must be going through her...

I went back and read the extra panels (Ch 19) talking about No-rae and her family. Some questions/thoughts that popped up after reading this chapter...

1) Does the schooling work differently in Korea? No-rae is in college, and she's 23 and she's the same age as Seol-a and everyone else, right? I'm finding that super weird, because I'm turning 23 this week, and starting the last half of grad school (which is normal in the States)...

2) Related to question 1. Is No-rae's sister getting a Ph.D. or pursuing med school? Otherwise...I'm not sure how she'd still be studying at 27 (even 27 is starting to push it for a Ph.D. But then again, it would make sense if people normally graduate college at 23/24 in South Korea).

3) Where is Kim So-seol's (the bro's) wife? She wasn't in extra panels, he lives at home (I think?), the only people in the panel are No-rae's mom/grandma, and she's not anywhere to be seen....

I really like the idea, but I guess the trains in Korea are as fast as they are in Japan (or are they not?), so Seol-a would probably come later? Otherwise, it'd be really awesome and convenient for the story, how Seol-a first gets to know the family and then... that No-rae's face when she enters LOL. If it's not canon, I really want a fanart for it!

That's a thing I've been wondering about, we all know that being gay isn't well received in these parts, even less so the more old they are. The drama in this story aside from the strangle scene has been pretty mild, how hard will shit hit the fan when they come out?

Idk...maybe it's just me, but I can't see Seol-a's (or maybe even No-rae's for that matter) mom reacting badly to the news. No-rae's father on the other hand...I'm inclined to say, shit would definitely hit the fan. He kind of scares me. Not sure why.

We haven't seen Seol-a's father though....so I've got no idea what would happen in that case.

Seol-a is going to devour her, at least in my fantasies that's how it pans out. As for kissing asleep, I have no idea. But since a person cannot consent while asleep it is sexual assault. So I'd be careful!

Haha, anime doesn't seem to draw a line in terms of sexual assault [although I'm definitely hoping/praying that Ssamba never goes there]. Mai-Hime and Kannazuki no Miko cough cough Both were nearly completely ruined for me (the later for sure). -_-

I think everyone's assuming because she called Hee-Jin (and she had called the other friend earlier looking for Seol-a). Since Hee-Jin is supposed to be No-rae's childhood friend, she would definitely know where No-rae lives.

If you go back and read that chapter at the beach (where No-rae asked Seol-a that "conflicting" question lol), it's evident in one of the panels that Seol-a's in bed, and the guy trying to wake her up is shirtless. So, I'm pretty sure she has slept with people before.

A lot of Korean animation studios animate stuff for Japanese anime, but I don't think it's common for Korean manhwa to become animated. A live adaptation/drama/movie is more likely to happen (the webtoon "Orange Marmalade" was made into a drama recently). And personally I think Korean dub is absolutely atrocious. It sounds so awkward and fake. I don't understand why Korean voice actors can't talk like normal people, and they exaggerate everything instead.

That kind of shitty dub needs to go die in a fire.

I was legit taken aback. That poster also felt the need to apologize which in my mind should of been the reverse, sachii should of been apologized to.

I think the whole thing was unfortunate. Everyone misunderstood each other, so everyone was at each others' throats. It's probably better to let bygones be bygones. :) And to be fair, I don't think sachii was apologizing for asking the question (nor should they have to) but more like apologizing for phrasing it to cause such a misunderstanding (which wasn't necessary, but nice).

Is it strange that I envy the "will you go out with me" approach? I've never met anyone who's been that direct. For me the opposite is more common (complicated confessions, secret love, chasing, and so on).

Haha as far as I know I'm only super popular with my gf lol! I only ever did that with her in our first couple years together. Our personalities were and are so different it took some getting used too. On top of that she had bad experiences with guys, before meeting me, via her friends and in class/whatnot. A lot of jerks basically. So she kept expecting me turn out douchey. Which I'm not, so yeah. A bit of back and forth lol. Totally worth it though :) (I almost pulled a John Cusack at one point!!) I'm also a romantic at heart so I'll pull out all the cheesy stops without a second thought.

Whatever happened to Cheese in the Trap, anyway? I mean, when it comes to scanlation. I was following it for a while and then it seemed like scanlations stopped happening, or got restricted in some odd way, or something.

Oh, so apparently the "mangaka" (idk what the korean word for it is) could speak some English (or something) and found out about the English scanlations of the manhwa. Then asked for it to cease and desist, basically, so the original scanlators had to stop with conventional scanlations. What oddsquad is doing now is a code-based scalanation, where they translate it, you install this add-on to your browser, and then you go directly to the "mangaka's" site. It automatically overlays the English translation for you. :) They're not fully caught up, but I think they're only like 50ish chapters behind (which is a lot, but when you consider Cheese comes out weekly... :P).

I actually think SeolA and NoRae's relationship would improve slightly. Either they'll talk through their misunderstandings so they're on (at least) speaking terms again, or both of them might come to understand that there IS something going on between the two of them and create a "more than friends" atmosphere (even more serious than as it stands). But I also agree there will be some setup for the ex's arrival, and just as things are starting to look up - BAM! Ssamba will hit us with more angst.

oh gosh, thank you for translating those comments!! and i can't tell you how much I'm hoping for one of those scenarios to happen. plot line? pssh, all I want is character development >____>

A lot of manhwa/webtoons usually run for quite a long time. FF is far from over. I mean, we're going to need at least another 100 chapters before we see Seol-a and No-rae kiss, so it's probably going to continue for a while.

But don't worry, we're working on scanlating as fast as we can ;_;

Hahaha although I wasn't thinking it would evaporate, the thought was kind of funny and I see why my question may have ended up seeming so strange, I have very little knowledge of cars in general, I was actually sort of thinking maybe if it's been in the tank for too long certain problems like, leaking or what not may occur, but I suppose that might not be the case, but seol-a trying to jump the battery before following no-rae would make for a very funny side story if that indeed happen in-story. Thank you for the insights!

LOL! Sorry, I didn't mean to be weird and answer a never-asked silly question haha. but, now that you've mentioned it, Seol-a jump-starting a car would be an excellent side story. Well takachi resolved the conundrum regardless (hah, totally didn't catch on that it was the wrong brother) so I suppose that's currently out of the picture. :)

On another note:

I have like...conflicting feelings about the upcoming chapter. I feel like if they actually meet, things would have to be resolved or something (or someone) would break. I think someone else brought up the comment where No-rae's ex should be coming back soon. I don't think No-rae's had closure on that issue, so I think, until that's happened, this thing between Seol-a and No-rae is going to be at a standstill. So I'm thinking that next chapter (like someone else said) would end with Seol-a arriving at the Kims, but in the interim, it's going to have nothing to do with the two, but rather setting up the ex's arrival.

But maybe working things out with Seol-a would help in that regard (i.e. getting over her ex)? Idk. I'm probably (and would love to be) wrong. ^^;; But I don't want to eagerly look forward to next chapter in order to have like...0 development. orz

Yes I do understand the car has little to do with the story as it's only a device to further it along (as it obviously enables Seol-a to follow) but given it was in her garage since her brother left the apartment for her to make use of, you can approximate it's inactivity for months and I don't know but it completely took me out of the story as it seems to have been way too convenient for it to be there and still work. It's a bit contrived, and I know this is far from a realistic story in any case but I wish there was more solidity to the story telling than just conveniently having things appear and be utilized when the situation calls for it. As this is a slice of life drama romance, I was not prepared for having to suspend my disbelief. My question was more so that I do in fact, find confidence in this choice of moving the narrative.

Haha actually my family keeps a ridiculously expensive car in our garage, and we only (literally) use it about three to four times a year (just because it's so expensive). Gas doesn't suddenly evaporate or anything, if the tank is sealed, and the worse thing that can happen is that the battery needs a jump (but that has never happened to us). I don't see why this would vary between luxury and normal cars (and Seol-a family is really rich right? It's probably luxury anyways). Even if it ever needs a jump, we keep a battery pack lying around just in case. No reason to assume that they don't have one either.

Eh?! But how can you tell?! Now I'm really curious! Why not Saturday? And why two days specifically as opposed to entire week?

The fact that classes weren't shown threw me off...since I knew the last two chapters hadn't had them in class (until Ch 29), I had assumed it was Sunday (I was wrong lol, nice catch!).

I guess, working back from the last real day we were given...

Sunday was Exhibition day (Ch 21). Chs 22-23 were Sunday night. Then Ch 24 should be the next day (Monday). Ch 25-26 were Monday night, Ch 27 [the realization] should be Tuesday night then.

As for why I only thought it was a couple of days, it's because No-rae only had two different outfits lol. That and the fact that Seol-a is pretty bright...if No-rae had been avoiding her for more than a couple of days (i.e. the class thing had happened more than two times) I'm pretty sure she would have caught on. Moreover, she was actually going through all the evidence in her head, at one point...if there were more instances, I'm pretty sure Ssamba would have drawn them (hah, at least, that's what I'm banking on. Who knows :P )

This actually makes a lot more sense, because if she avoided Seol-a Wed-Thurs, that would put let's-get-drunk-with-Kyung-Woo! day on Friday (I would say Friday date nights make more sense, but No-rae's friend had a date on Thurs night I think)....which would mean that "Today" would be Saturday.

Aw shite. :C Maybe I'm still wrong. But I suppose that's my final guess: Saturday
