Everyone's always jumping to "axed" when they don't like an ending, even though this ending was basically locked in four chapters prior.

Well, there you go straight from the authors mouth: axed. I suspected as much, because it would take way more than four chapters to address everything they had been building up.

It's got to be tough being a mangaka. I can only imagine how much it hurts to spend time drawing up a grand story only for it to cancelled halfway through, not only killing your years of effort but also leading people to think your story (and you yourself) suck.

I enjoyed the story, could be better but could be worse. Reasonable ending considering the author didn't have enough time to fully get everything covered/explored XD

...yep...they should treat their workers better...sometimes the shi*ty company underpaid or don't even paid their worker/mangaka right.

For example one korean manhwa writer was forcefully worked and abused so badly that she lost her baby due to stress from her editor to make the chapter in unreasonable time...same said Editor took time off for her own pregnancy (FKING HYPOCRITE...)

Or

A Japanese manga artist not being paid for all her hard work, like designing/writing the cover for the manga book + having it scraped due to them not liking it...At least she is in a better company/doing better now...

This is one of the many 100+ reason why I hate humanity/humans...

So chapter 43.5, last page say author probably want to continue it but says it would take too long (2 volumes or 400 more pages, thanking people for reading)--> Basically money talks, if their work brings in lots of customers/sales then they can continue writing their manga...if not then they get told a time/date/volume number they have to work with to wrap up their story...that is business...it sucks but it is the sad reality...

ALSO I CALLED IT/PREDICT IT!!! Hibai and Gina(Sang) is teaming up to find who killed Gina's family....bonus point if they end up becoming a couple (+extra bonus point if they reunite with Gina's son) XD

Babylon/Hitmen group threatening their family member is a scummy move but somewhat logical if they can't trust their workers...probably breed some resentment though and no true trust...hopefully Rose fixes that and gains a lot of support when she become their new leader :)

Both organization wants the best to help people/the Refugees...but their methods need a lot of work + losing their morals along the way + not willing to compromise/seek better way/willingness to change their system for the better. To me they are both right but yet wrong (They have their pros and cons), you guys can argue about who method is better or who is more morally superior I guess lol XD

...I just want to point out 2 little details/facts some people are forgetting sometimes...The red-head and black hair girl are both isekaied people...basically replacing the 2 original characters from the book. [This gives us the Butter-fly effect, events might be very similar but the events have changed slightly.]

The read-head could have been a spoiled arrogant brat (+Bonus point if she is clingy to her Fiancee) that made the prince probably not want to deal with her...

The black hair probably never found out about Red-head using a cheat on the magic crystal due to being a normal person (Though a normal person that will become a demon lord). The original black hair girl could been much much more bitter and isolated, colder to people instead of willing to be able to open her heart to people.

I won't defend the prince(Lloyd) but to me he is not that bad (He's at least not bullying people for fun or looking down on people status-though he does not have sympathy for them either...) but right now he is a spoiled brat with a big ego...not the worse person ever and could grow to become a better person but for right now...definitely not husbando material...for now they are like age 10-12 in their 1st year of magical school...

In the book of chapter 1, the story says man "Son of light", magical genius fall in love with "Princess of shadows" (Caroline) + Villainess harassing + them defeating the demon lord. The red-head called the book she read fking cliche book made for little kids ages 9+ XD

Red-head feeling bad due to her having morals/good-conscious duh...

I just hope our red-head MC can get along with the black hair (Future demon lord/her best friend in past life) better...start throwing around some cash and buy her some food and goods girl!!! -yeah what you just said is 'much much' better said/much more sense, though technically while Rose can argue and or threaten the Hitmen group into making them leave her, Benika + father-in-law alone just by claiming she gave them the Rosary + she will fight back she cannot be 100% sure they won't harass them or provide aid (Either for their protection or any aid in escaping the counry) if she doesn't sweeten the deal a bit.
Yeah Benika is probably not happy with Rose's choice to continue to kill/fight but to Rose's thought process it the best logical choice if they are planning to still stay in the country since there would possible be more random violence in the future if Church managed to win their 10% victory rate...though as you said and like in ch.42, Rose is giving the end choice to Benika (Bit heavy...but to Rose, Benika is her hope and motivation for living).

Good end in the future (HEAD-CANON/Mini Fanfic IN MY HEAD):
The future that Benika described to Rose happens after 4 to 7 years later.

It was a lot of hard work but with help from other people they meet along the while that share the same goals of helping make the country better + Father shirafune (Father-in-law) support from the church side they both take positions of power due to all their hard work + respect they earn.

Though while things are not perfect, Refugee still sometimes get abuse sometimes and some racial discrimination but it was much better than compared to in the past. They hope in about 10-20 more years they can retired, leaving things to the next generation.

The former leader of Hitman/Babylon and church are now working as Janitors...moaning and groaning/wondering how this even happy but yet still somewhat happy that the Refugees are being treated better and things are becoming stable...they both occasionally have Hate-Seggs sometimes when they hang out to complain but both refuse to comment on their questionable relationship.

Hibai and Sang(Gina) are now in a questionable relationship after Hibai + (Rose & Benkia for moral support) helped find out who killed Sang(Gina)'s parents after 4 year of chapter 43 happen [They found the killer after 2 year after ch.43 happen].
while they are not a happy doki doki couple opening showing each other affection, they still signs of shy affections out of the public's eyes....Benika teased them mercilessly when she caught them swapping spit when they came to help make sure things are stable + safe (The public order is much better in the Refugee camp/area but still need some firm violence/beat up to make no one does anything stpid) when a new group of refugee arrived from a country's war.

Their excuse:
They were simply providing first aid due to one of them burning their tongue from eating something very hot...

[Not important note before they came to help out a bit with public security/order]:
Benika also punch them both in the face after 2 years of chapter 43 for hurting her father, she forgive them before lending them Rose to help them track down the person/people responsible for killing Sang(Gina)'s family.

For chapter 41, [@Skywalk] is right about it being heavy on the Commentary...but I think he/she is taking drugs/or having delusions about Rose playing around with Benika...Rose is picking a side to keep her girlfriend + father-in-law safe.
She was already one of their agents so just by handing them the [Rosary] she can gain their support...Rose might be amazing and the best hitmen/woman they ever hired...but she is not some God/super-human that can fight 2 large organizations for many ['Forever'] to come...The most logical situation is to bargain for her girfriend's and her father-in-law's protection...the hitmen/babylon basically got what they wanted from the so-called original mission anyways (The rosary + her amazing hitman skills as a bonus)

Chapter 42.
Rose really be like leaving the whole decision to Benika...To shoot Rose and not have her fight (Disable) or let her fight (To prevent the refugee from thinking violence is the answer and correct path by killing the Rebels--).

The whole Refugee situation is very big problem and there isn't going to be a simple easy solution...this kind of situation is going to need at least months to a couple years to fully fix...assuming the correct morally good people are in charge instead of all the corrupt people that support the abuse...

It would be a very very big help if Babylon/Hitmen and Church leaders are willing to work together in the long term to help solve the problem...but I doubt that be happening anytime soon sadly...

I wonder if Chapter 43 will be a time-skip where Benika takes a position/career of power to help solve the situation/already working to solve it...
I can write a 10-20 paragraphs on possible ways/methods to 'help' solve the situation based on our world's history but meh I don't want to bore you guys with boring random details (To solve this complicated situation completely I would also need more information and etc...)...I am more interested in hoping Rose and Benika still stays together, living happy lives at the end of all this though....

Rose usually toss away her burner phones too so it like they casual chat or talk...their work routine is basically standard code talk and processes and etc. Cold talking by telling rose her mission and receiving mission details, not allowed to talk casuallly

Basically they have a way to call her and knows she is working for them....but nothing much else since to them, she is just a another refugee they hired as a hitmen/assassin....even though you probably should want to get to know your best assassin/hitmen you have so far that been working for you for a whole 1.5-3 years already....

Benika's father is a true honest good priest...asking god for forgiveness and saying he will praise his name even if he sins/beyond redemption (Honestly there is nothing to forgive, he is just defending himself and his daughter in self-defense....)

Also he is pretty fking smart!!! Okay he had the clues to figure out that Rose was the same person from the confession booth....but to figure out why he was being targeted...he managed to figure out it was the Rosary (Since clue 1 Rose warned him about his life being target and clue 2 he did nothing to gain attention except meeting the Arch-priest/bishop and getting the Rosary...lol his comment about the Arch-bishop giving him a item many people willing to kill him for it XD)

Yes, Babylon is the nickname the church gave the Hitmen organization, that brings to question how the fk does the Vigilante force know about Babylon (The church's nick-name for the hitmen group) and even have FKING SONG ABOUT BABYLON!?....so that gives us 3 possible option.

Option A: The name of Babylon spread around due to the insiders from the church but they are cleaned and just got helped from Babylon to create the Vigilante grop (No insiders from the church or hitmen/Babylon)
Option B: There are people from Hitmen group(Babylon) inside the Vigilante force, helping the Vigilante force...or even worse...the Captain is also a insider brought by Babylon and is in on the plan to help Benika to see Babylon (Hitmen group) in a bad light thanks to Hibai's orders/asking for help.
Option C: (There are insiders from both the church and hitmen groups....reason why the Vigilante force know the term Babylon...)

The people inside/working for the Vigilante force probably have Victims too like the girl who parents died and how she got R@ped by her fellow refugee(was it a refugee or person from the mainland? Either way it still horrible and she shouldn't have to go through that experience....).
They want to work to keep the order...though the use of violence to enforced it while not the best idea is something that won't be done with any trouble/hesitation since like I said...there are victims inside the Vigilante force so they won't be afraid to punish others to attempt to keep order/prevent others from experiencing their pain.

I think I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt that the Vigilante force....I do not read any clear obvious signs they are abusing their fellow Refugees...some of their guards/patrols people apologize to Benika (Asking if she was hurt) and thanking Benika for her aid in catching the person running away [Said person on his 3rd offense crime, this time stabbing someone. Probably his most serious offense (I can make no theory about if this person did it for greed, anger or if he is just desperate for money though)].

We see the Captain of the Vigilante force, his expression not really angry or excited to commit violence....I would say his expression would be more describe as Dead/Tired/numbed....much like the MC [Rose] in her early days before meeting Benika.

The Captain was going to give Benika money as a reward for her aid after praising her courage when she was so young (He was a tiny bit surprised to hear she not there, claiming she must be a new refugee). He shown no signs of abusing people or angry or disappointment at not being able to kill people...just tired, numbed and annoyed/deadpan expression. His system of giving money to people willing to help shown he is not willing to be stingy with money to help keep the order in his community...

It could be possible the Captain and other people in the Vigilante force 'could/maybe' be actually secretly evil people that enjoy abusing their fellow refugee like [Bunny claims or fears], enjoying their tiny position of power to decide the fate of their fellow refugees...but well I kind doubt it and think Bunny is just expecting the worse. [Mostly because I think the ArchBishop would be stupid not to have them join his side already or at least have sleeper agents hiding just in case to takeover. Priest leader probably wants to help keep refugees safe so I hope he has people inside Vigilante force since he already has refugees training in the form of protest formation (Hitmen leader notice this) XD]

Like I said...it possible (low chance maybe?) the vigilante force might be corrupted too like the government...but is also possible that the Vigilante force exist just to prevent things from getting worse in their community. It could be possible the Captain is the most amazing actor in existence and he smiles cruelly while beating up these so-called criminals when the community is not watching him lol but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt that he hopefully does not XD

I like to believe he is doing his job as the Captain of the Vigilante force not because he enjoys abusing or killing his fellow refugee/people but because he wants to help to keep the order in his community... [Though people in the Vigilante force probably get a decent job pay though XD]. His expression tells me that he is just tired and numbed but the idea of killing his fellows Refugees will be needed to happen or else the community will fall apart.

Basically trapped between an horrible system vs. Chaotic hell where the community of innocent refugee can get hurt from not removing murders/R@pists.

I suspect the captain is informing the new girl (Benika) of the rules of what not to do...or he just tired and numbed not really caring that he probably gave the new refugee some fear/tiny bit of trauma about what happen to those who cross the line [He probably thinks he is just giving the new Refugee girl a reality check of her new life and basically telling her to toughen up].

The captain does not shows any disappointment at not being able to kill the captured guy (saying words about how the guys is better off dead and etc.) or anger at the captured...but just annoyed tired disappointed that the guy stabbed someone since it means he probably has to tell one of his people to keep watch over the guy when he goes free just in case.

The captain explaining why they can't give him to police and how the police will just toss him back to them (to the police stabbing someone is apparently not serious...)

The Vigilante force are shown guarding them holding Batons, the masks and handcuffs are to make it easier to guard them and for them not to escape...probably helps that not being able to see with the mask on is a tiny form of punishment too. They will probably stay like that for at least a few hours before getting put into a free cage [how many cages do they have?? Are there limited cages and that why some of them not in cages yet???]

I mean 15-20% of the captured people probably only commit their crimes due to being poor and desperate...but the 70-75% of them could be due to aggressive personality, envy and greedy+Anger responsible for their actions (I do not believe they all innocent people...but a few of them probably are though...).

I guess the Vigilante force will try to talk to these capture people to get their reasoning and account of what happened to attempt to make sure these incidents do not happen again...possibly warn them not to do it again or they will face a harsher punishment + possible death if they cross the line.

They have to be firm and make sure to let potentially danger people run free in their community...a sweet warm heart-to-heart talk to these captured people isn't going to fix things 99% of the time sadly..they are struck in a hard place vs. chaotic hell thanks to the Government not giving a Sh*t. They need someone to either give them better solutions or hope the government finally stops being lazy and help them keep the order (Access to jail/prison for weeks to months=not needing to resort to killing)

First off, You go Benika!! I disagree, she was brave and shown good reflexes...the guy stabbed someone and said person that got stabbed almost died...the person she throw her hot soup on was on his 3rd offense...I would scold her if the guy was just stealing something but he almost killed someone after-all.

The problems:
The refugees have to keep order themselves and make sure other refugees do not kill, steal, R@pe each other and other horrible things...the government is basically telling them to fk off and are not willing to help keep order
[Look at the guys/guards with the guns...they are not there to keep order...they are there to strike fear and kill anyone willing to cause a riot/rebellion....]

Damn not even any help in burying the dead bodies so have to burn them, keeping the troublemaker's skulls on display and their names + crimes written down probably helps to warn people not to do crimes/cause trouble...it sad since dozen of those deaths could have been prevented if the government wasn't fking scummy group not even willing to help the people they are currently exploiting...

The Refugee order group/Vigilante group basically has to make firm rules and probably do not have the time + manpower/people to keep people locked up in cages (They are not proper steel cages I bet) for more than a few days with a clear warning they will be punish if they cause trouble again....
Death happens if:
R@pe/Murder/Medical fraud/Human trafficking and etc....seems reasonable choice to kill them since the police/government is not going to help keep the order. I don't like it but it the only logical choice the Vigilante group can make, reward for helping to keep order and punishment+possible death for risking doing illegal morally wrong stuff.

They are not professionally trained and equipped to be keep offender prison(cages) for a long time and they can't risk letting a murder/R@pist/Human kidnapper/trafficker loose since they can hurt other people in their community...they are living hard lives already...they don't want the community to be in fear/stress from potential criminals willing to hurt them (May 25% of those criminals forced to commit those acts rest in peace...)

It funny though since if you throw them into jail/prison you could probably make some excuse to make them do cheap hard labor for 1-2 dollars per hours just like the [US] lol....it fked up since like 20% of the people in prison IRL are pretty innocent people 0_0 [+ bonus scummy point for said Government not wanting to pay compensation money when it proven they are innocent too].....guess they just don't want to deal with the refugees at all....

Heck! We humans can 'Technically' solve world hunger right now if we put enough time, effort and money into that problem IRL.... but world hunger doesn't get solves due to dozen of factors like corruption/people not caring/rich people with the power to change things not wanting to since they do not get profits creating a better system and etc... to solve world hunger. People getting exploit and world hunger continuing is much more likely to happen...

I am leaning more toward the Priest side right now...I still want the hitmen leader and him (Archbishop) to team up to combine their methods and create a better way to help the Refugees since they both want to help the refugee get a chance at a better life but it clear the Hitmen lady boss hopes+plans to give better rights to the refugees are going to fking take like 30-50 years to see any visible effects assuming she made some deal with some people in the government...
But then that would still mean a lot of refugees suffer and possibly even their children suffer too...Drastic actions might be needed...even if I do not enjoy/like the idea of lot of death happening to those refugees as a result...A riot/rebellion will sadly need to happen...I just hope not too many innocent people get killed in the crossfire...

Basically the [Government] is like a (black company/exploitative) abusing their workers, just seeing them as tools for cheap labor and probably has the idea that they can just fired [Kill] a few of them then hire new worker(new refugees) to replace them....sure there will news articles and news report + protests talking about trying to get better rights for the worker (Refugees) but it will only have a small effect....it no wonder the Refugee looks at the ArchBishop as a saint since he truly wants to help them and they see him as the hope (Union or some other group that help workers) to get out their suffering and abuse...

It really ironically...A truly smart black exploitative company can abuse their workers just enough and squeeze them just enough but give them enough pay/rewards to feel like they are not being totally abused [Trick them into thinking it will be worth it]...too bad the Government(exploitative Black company) is too greedy, short-sighted and corrupted to not realize their way of treating their workers(Refugees) is basically a time-bomb waiting to explode right under their @sses...

It a sad thing...refugees often get exploited and treated like outsiders by the country that takes them in, said country only seeing them as cheap labor force... Chapter 3 shows the casual abuse.

Meh that just how humans are like, the people often in charge seeing other humans as tools for money making and to gain more power...sad world we live in but that is the unfortunate reality...only way to change that is to have enough power (money/status/connections + etc.)

Yeah like some comments already said....I wish they just team up to work together to help the refugees get better lives.

--> Is probably faster and will make the country be unable to ignore the Refugees that they have been abusing...but that method means fighting/people potentially dying for the cause.

There's still a lot we don't know. It's very possible that she was voicing her actual (wrongheaded) understanding of the world, or it could be that she thought she was communicating that her interest in yuri was strictly fictional, and she didn't think how it would hit somebody who is actually gay. Or it could be that she thought she was being subtle and sparing Watanabe the heartbreak of an actual rejection.

I mean, they're kids. Kids do stupid things and hurt each other sometimes. WE know the damage it's caused, because we've seen it. But just because something is damaging doesn't mean it was intentionally or knowingly so. I'm pretty sure if she shows up again, it'll become pretty clear pretty quick which of all these possibilities is an actuality.
