Jesus, now I really do feel old since I lived through the 80s as a teenager. But I would put Empire Strikes Back, Aliens, Terminator and Full Metal Jacket near the top of the pile for greatest 80s movies.

As for Labyrinth, nothing beat seeing Jennifer Connelly in the ballroom scene for the ultimate "Girl Next Door" who was drop dead gorgeous, with the possible exception of Phoebe Cates in Fast Times At Ridgemont High (and only because she got nude).

Stuck on Jens Kiilstofte stuff from MachinamaSound (Leap of Faith, Seize the Day & Sapphire Sky) as well as listening to The Martian soundtrack, specifically Making Water (aka: Mark Watney, Space Pirate!)

My friends that have gone to see it pretty much confirmed what I suspected: it ain't gonna be a hit. It will be a mediocre
remake, which is kinda sad. I would have loved to see Ivan Reitman's Ghostbusters 3 instead.

Eh, I'm a sucker for a (relatively) happy ending and Mira always seems to deliver. So all the characters have a similar look, but that's not that uncommon. At least its generally easy to tell her characters apart.
