...coffee isn't so much effective and the last time I was on energy drinks they affected my heartbeat.

Anyway, I've slept 2 hours for the last 2 days, and when I finally managed to fall asleep this morning, they called me because I had to go and pick up the results of the exam I've been waiting for a month.. so half-dizzy I went there and when I realized my score is even higher than I needed it to be, I thought I was dreaming in my sleep xD

thanks for asking! you are being as attentive as ever!

it could've been worse, I just consume an enormous amount of black tea and I'm good up to until 5-6 o'clock when I have to fight sleepiness..will get used to it eventually ;) one reason why I took the job is because of the night shifts - it might be silly, but it's a way to prove to myself I can be productive at night xD you know my habit of falling asleep early while watching a movie xD
on the bright side - when I'm finished with work, I'm welcomed by the warm colors of the sunrise and I can't help taking a little zombie walk to home while enjoying the scenery.. a lovely end of my day! ;)

I had too much luck most of my life... And now, whenever I waste a good opportunity it seems something bad happens... Maybe it's really just all my fault...
But then again... Whenever I look around lately I can't seem to find anyone who's not sick, unlucky or without a sick or recently deceased family member or friend around... So maybe it's just a bad time for many people...

As far as I can remember, there is a country where to hear a black cat sneezing brings good luck xD

Thanks! It's from an old medieval book, I found it while searching for cat's representations through ages and countries! (like ancient Persia, Greece, China, Japan, Europe etc)....

That's what I thought it might be - considering the font, colors and ornamentation used^^ it does sound interesting! though, as far as I know, cats in Middle Ages were thought to be associated with the evil... I most sincerely hope that the cat in the picture doesn't take part in a story about persecutions of cats! :)

Btw I was flipping through a book by a Canadian author when I ran into an extract from the John Donne's flea poem, and I couldn't help getting reminded of Nez since she introduced me to his work a few months ago in the thread^^
