Something about Akiko's art bugs the shit out of me. Like, I can't stand looking at it and I refuse to watch this. But that's probably 'cuz the main character is romancing her nerdy friend or so I hear(not even cute in the slightest). Anyhow this is the only art that drives me up the wall. I feel like this is one of those over-hype anime's but really is shitty. Sighhh, I want to like this manga and anime.

Yes. But so far, no bears. She sticks largely (entirely?) to the Chinese zodiac.

Oh right how dumb of me sorry! I'm not used to social medias and the likes. A friend introduced me to the world of yuri and I instantly got hooked haha well hopefully there would be more updates soon about Matsumoto and Kudou-san's story! Thank you so much!

No worries, and I am happy to see that you are enjoying it so much. I would caution you to be patient, though; the pace of Lili's releases are such that you might not see these tanks fully translated until next year.

Where did you know these informations? Do you have links? I hope you could give them to me I'd really like to know about this cute couple Matsumoto and Kudo-san I hope they end up together :-)

Alright, I have to ask: is there a continuation of this?

Since there are chapters that are not yet translated, we don't know whether there will be another continuation on the story, though we can kind of see a story plot forming after the 3 one-shots (Infinite 20 minutes, Multiplying lights, .925). Looks like Nishi Uko-sensei follows the style of "leave if to the readers' imagination"; we can only think of how the story is going to develop between those characters if we really want to see an ending.

Shorter answer: .925 comes after this, so you can view it as a continuation.
In the full tank, there are a couple more stories either related to this couple or else just to Yui.

Like that, but for each magazine. So clicking Yuri Hime would get you a list of issues separate from the rest, and you would have a link on the individual stories to bring you back to the Yuri Hime page. Like I said, the functionality was there in the past, but things got reorganized about a year or so ago into the current arrangement.

Basically. On its own having a separate page for just "Yuri Hime" isn't such a big deal, but it would pretty convenient if after arriving at the page for a given issue of YH (coming maybe from a particular chapter) you could click on something (say, the "Yuri Hime" portion of "Yuri Hime Vol. X") and arrive at a directory of all the issues of Yuri Hime.

We've been going through some of the old YHs lately, and Dynasty's pretty much the best place to check on what's translated where (YP's wiki isn't kept up-to-date), but the navigation could be easier.

It would be useful if we could navigate from one issue of YH to the next. Or view the entire list of issues, with links, on one page.

The new "00" chapter was interesting, but it has a summary at the beginning, maybe calling it a "3.5" chapter would be better since the summary has spoilers?

In the tank release, "Philosophia 00" is chapter 5 ("Philosophia 03" is broken down into two chapters, 3 & 4), though 3.5 seems fine for numbering for now.

They're most likely oblivious to each others existence. It would definitely make sense to choose one and stick with it. I'll change them all to Blue Book, unless you've some strong inclination towards the romaji version(s)??

Belatedly: It might be better to just create a "Touhou Blue Book" series (or anthology, to keep chapter comments separate) entry and then put all the chapters in there, since they really do seem to form a continuous series. They couldn't be numbered (aside from being incomplete, some chapters are released simultaneously) but they could be ordered by Japanese release date (by me, I guess, since I already have them ordered that way in my own archives...).

I can't read Chinese character but I think the hiragana in the title page says "Yoyo no HAshi" not "Hoshi".

That is correct (the Kanji are the "Touhou Blue Book" part), so changed. Should mean something like "The Bridge, Night After Night", though without kanji it could just as easily be "Chopsticks Passed Down Through Many Generations"

Comic Zeal on the iPad. Works great, although for some reason the pages in one of the chapters of Cross Heart read out of order. Everything else is perfect.

Extract the archive and check the file names. Comic Zeal orders files differently sometimes when it comes to numbers or special characters.

I wonder what kind of contract mangakas sign with publishing houses.
When the magazines just disappear because are considered not profitable enough, do they keep the manga's intellectual property rights?
So the mangaka cannot even continue publishing the rest of the story elsewhere?

The copyright model in Japan appears to be different; I don't know the details, but it does not appear that publishing houses take on characters and settings as their own IPs. They seem to just have publication rights to individual chapters.

Regarding Hirari (and this conversation should probably be in the Hirari thread), on the one hand you have at least one artist who was able to jump ship: Miman got her collected works in Hirari published by Yuri Hime Comics (an Ichijinsha imprint), and even had one of her Hirari chapters reprinted in a recent issue of YH. On the other hand, you have at least one artist who's just continued to release her series on her own: Takashima Hiromi has gone on to release Kase-san online, and Shinshokan (Hirari's parent company) still plans to release a third tank for that.

Incidentally, the Real Her also has a planned tank release in 2015 with Shinshoka, and with luck that will include a fair bit of extra content.

Also, why oh why is Yuri Hime the only yuri magazine that can stay afloat?

One word: Citrus

Two words: Yuru Yuri. I'm sure Citrus is doing quite well for itself, but even if you combine that and the other 2nd-tier series YH has (Yuri Danshi), I think you'd be hard-pressed to argue they bring in more revenue than yuri's ultimate cash cow.

I wonder about that. I suspect Yuri-Hime stays afloat because it has a built-in readership base, and that new publications fold because people who read yuri are already all buying Yuri-Hime and not enough of them can be enticed into buying multiple publications. Yuru-Yuri may be an important part of that, but I haven't been paying any attention to any of the popularity surveys or tank sales.

(Incidentally, I do hope that everyone who is bemoaning the collapse of yuri publications has been doing their best to support those publications by at least buying their tanks).

That may be the case. When Morinaga Milk left Yuri Hime (I don't know why she left), she wasn't able to finish Kisses, Sighs, and Cherry-Blossom Pink until Comic High bought the rights to it from Yuri Hime.
