Asking how other characters fall for Touma is like asking how Superman flies.

Waiting for an explanation or development on that specific point will only end in disappointment and completely misses what the story is actually about.

If Kansai is still southern US then I feel like Hakata should be a southeastern or midwestern US accent.

The manga introduced a lot of new regular characters and shifted genre over the past few volumes. The story has moved from "cringe comedy" to "slice of life with a side of cringe," which has attracted a much wider audience.

Also all of the new characters are girls and the yuri subtext went through the roof. Except for Ucchi, who skipped subtext and went flat out gay for Tomoko.

You know the title is so misleading. "It's Not My Fault I'm not Popular" Guys, SHE did this to herself!

It's interesting how these stories are in media res. It'd be ultimately more sad if we saw these stories before the breakup. But since the conclusion is foregone, these shorts are just little bits of comedic relationship conflict. There's also good continuity; the two characters definitely come across as an incompatible couple.

A lighthearted take on an unsuccessful relationship is nice, in it's own way.
