As much as I wanted to hold out for the two figuring things out, am going to call it (for myself) that Nagai's love for Hinohara has withered on the vine, and translated into respect and gratitude. Mutual unrequited love unfulfilled.
At least he got to give her a kiss on the cheek in the original.

In a way the two teachers unrequited loves are fitting bookends to many of the other characters, sandwiching all their loves and dramas right in between.

I thought the Nurse and Shizuka were flirting, and I was bracing myself for a whole new level of drama. Thought they were kissing on page 8, too.

To me that looks like a flash back of the nurse and coach in high school.

I can't exactly remember the main premise of the story, but I think it was a one shot with an MC that could read minds and there's a girl that is really into the MC. They get closer and eventually tells her the truth. Expecting her to backlash/ express disappointment, the other girl is pleasantly surprised and expresses her affection further and fills her mind with "I love you" and compliments. The story ends with the MC blushing as she's reading all the embrassing thoughts.

Vol 6 is the visit to the grandparents and Gon, the festival, the confession, and ends with this manga chapter.
According to the author Vol8 is the canon ending. So everything after that is omake.
