One thing bothering me with ME:A is how most reviews say you need to really trudge through the first several hours to get to the actual game, and many have reviewed the game with a better score recently. This also happened with Inquisition, the massively slow start. Why is this a thing? I still can't tell if I should get Andromeda or not. Won't be til after MLB 17 and Persona 5 anyway.

I wasn't planning on getting Andromeda for awhile because it was definitely going to be buggy and need patching, but I've read often that the compantions are dull and the main story is just ok. I don't know if I'll even bother now, those are the reasons I never finished Inquisition.

I never understand why people like Mass Effect. Tried to play multiple times but quit after a few hours.

I guess i hate fantasy scifi.

I find it easier to start with ME2, then go back and play 1. 2 has far more active and fluid combat, though I think the world suffers because there's no Mako. If you hate the Mako, though, then even better for you.

Completed Dragon Age Origins. I don't know if it's popular here.

Really loved it more despite graphically inferior than its sequels. Story was fun. Dialogues were hilarious.

But what i liked the most is how the choices of 1st game still have effect in sequels and how Bioware is so casual and accepting about homosexuality. Good thing i choose Leliana and she remained loyal to the hero

Just hope to see my female Warden in next part with Leliana >.<

DA:O is one of my favorite games of all time. Beaten it six times over, three as a mage cuz I'm a prissy finger wiggler or something. Love the story, love the characters, all the locations and choices. Can't get enough.

Six time? I just once. I don't know why but a female dalish elf seems like the best warden to me. Even Dragon Age Keep uses female dalish elf as default warden.

Though mages are OP.

They're a bit OP yeah, I don't think it's drastic, especially if you play on a setting with friendly fire on.

I beat Dragon Age Origins + Awakening + (the shitty Golems DLC and Witch Hunt) 4 times I think. The game opened me up to those style of RPGs and I finally could get into Icewind Dale afterwards. DAO is one of my favorite games of all time and it is one of the few games I get sad when I am getting close to the end. (The original Mass Effect is another).

Dragon Age 2 only once, and that was after playing Inquisition (which I have not finished and as far as I see, I will never finish). DAI made me enjoy DA2, as 2 has the same gameplay as 1 pretty much with some changes. But it controls the same way, unlike DAI.

Yeah I haven't finished Inquisition either, probably won't. Tried twice now, can't get into it. DA2 I actually have beaten three times. The first time I hated it, but I kept comparing it to Origins. As its own game, I think it's good. Story is a bit weak but the characters are great. Got over the button mashing combat.

I really wasn't a fan of the skipping years part of DA2, but I did appreciate the game itself more when I played it as it's own game and not a sequel to Origins. Yeah the repetitive levels were annoying, but I liked the world still, small as it felt. Inquisition was boring. Very, very boring. Just felt like a grind. I never even finished the game, put about 15-20 hours into it hoping for more and never got it. Main story was only a few hours, the awful real-time map missions, the characters felt hollow... Very disappointed.

I had a whole rant written out but... not worth it. Maybe I'm just left behind in video games. I've never played tabletop, might be the time to get into it.

I'm crestfallen today. Wondering what to do from here. A lot of positive work is about to be undone.

Ichiro is definitely a "hit everything" kind of player, but not a prolific home run hitter. He's all about that safe single, which this manga can probably twist into innuendo all the same. So the reference is close enough, I guess.

He hit dingers more frequently in Japan, even broke 20 one season. Guessing that's the reference. And the Ichiro reference itself caught me so off guard I choked on my pop.

Goddammit Bethesda. We don't need a fucking HD remake for Skyrim. The game is only five goddamn years old, at this point you should have started production on the next installment in the series. If you wanted to do an HD remake for one of the Elder Scrolls games, why couldn't you have done it for Morrowind? Now that's a game worth remastering. But noooooo, instead of going back to something that has been a classic for over ten years, you decide to remake something that hasn't even been out for half as long. Fuck you Bethesda.

That's actually what I'm most excited about is the Skyrim remake. Can't wait!

Picked up Overwatch. Only other new game I've bought this year was MLB The Show so I was overdue. It's a lot of fun, and I appreciate having the option to face AI teams when I'm getting irritated with PvP matchups. Might stick with this one for awhile.

Aaaahhhh, this really is great though! I especially love how this was made 3 years ago and the show's interactions between Marci and Bubblegum have only gotten gayer - I could totally still see this happening in canon!

Feel like it would have already happened if the creators of the show weren't worried about other countries. Hell, you know the US would flip out too.
