Do you have a friend like that? Someone you say "I can't imagine being without you" and "I love you more than anything", just before you french kiss them, and yet you're still best buddies and not in love at all?

The author has seriously made an effort to show how strong Nika's feelings for Kurumi are (hence everything I pointed out), that's a lot more than you get in most yuri stories. Unless everything Nikaidou has said up to this point was a lie, I can't imagine her looking at Kurumi as just a friend.

But well, if that's how you wanna read the story, who am I to stop you.

Why are everyone here so unaccepting towards alternative points of view lol.

It's pretty clear from the title onwards that this story on purpose creates multiple interpretations. None of them are wrong until we get to the ending. Until we do, I would recommend getting off your high horse and entertaining the thought that your interpretation isn't the only one.

What in the world ? You realise she pray for them to BREAK UP .She freaking pray for the oneshe love to get sad. If you really love someone, you shouldn't praying for them be sad. Look at how Kurumi's attitude on her own situation and how she said that if Nika choose Jun then she will be happy for her and now look at Kyouko who is wishing for them to break up and not trying to understand or even ask about Nika's side of the story. Kyouko is not worthy of Kurumi.

You must never have had any complicated feelings towards a friend to be this judgemental.

Personally I'll never judge a person on their thoughts, rather by their actions. Also she's not really praying for Kurumi to be sad, from her perspective she's praying to spare her from sadness. Yeah, she has judged Nika harshly, but considering what she's seen of Nika, it's not exactly unjustified either.

There's no other way to read this besides her beginning to let go of her old love and starting to develop feelings for Kurumi.

Tbh everything from Nika's side can be interpreted as her just getting really close to Kurumi as a friend. From the looks of it Nika doesn't really have many, if any, close female friends. Literally everything she's feeling can be explained by what you might feel towards a best friend.

Tbh that's the best part about this series, it can literally go in any direction currently. We might end up with Kurumi x Nika, or Kurumi x Kyou or just literally everyone being alone and brokenhearted.

Have to say that after this latest chapter I'm leaning even more towards a Kurumi x Kyou ending.

Oh this is gonna get juicy.

I really wonder if we're ever going to get a more in depth explanation of this war, it seems so vague...

So, idk if they knew or not, but if Honda-san were a guy, would the parents be as lax about their daughter's whereabouts. Couldn't they have a cab bring her home? Not that I care, since Honda is a girl, and that makes it ok for me

Neglectful parents is just another thing for them to bond over! It all works out.

From another point of view, her parents trust their daughters judgement enough to not freak out.

If anything something like this will set her progress back even further.

Y'know, if it turns out that this manga doubled up on the lovelorn childhood friends just so it could result in twice the heartbreak when the lead characters stay together, I won't be surprised, but I'll probably still scream. Just like, one would have been enough! We really didn't need two! The only reason to include them both would be so it's a good thing when the leads break up! But spending basically a whole chapter on Kurumi saying "if you love him, just go to him" really makes me think that Nika will come back to her in the end! Gah.

That would be the most cliche of results tbh.

Personally I wonder if the story won't take a path like: Nika goes to Jun to confess, Jun rejects her again because he really only likes her as a friend. Nika then goes back to Kurumi, they're happy for a bit, on the surface, but Kurumi can't really get over being Nika's second choice and in the end they break up as well.

Then end it with Kyou confessing to Kurumi, and well, either end with super heartbreak or a glimmer of hope.

I think we're nearing the endgame too, though I haven't read any further than chapter 10 yet. That said, we also have to resolve Kyou-chan's feelings. I've failed to accurately predict anything that's happened so far, so really, I have no idea what will happen from here.

I'm actually kinda hoping Kyou and Kurumi end up together.

If you think the cliff hangers hurt now, wait till you realize that we're only 2 chapters behind the raws and the magazine it's in is quarterly.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

Though, it kinda feels like the story might be approaching it's climax, can't see how much you could stretch out the main story without some really contrived drama.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that cliffhanger, I think this is one of the few times I feel the story could go either way.

And then they get separated and never meet again

Since they're cousins that's unlikely.

This is pretty fucked up for four pages.

You're in the wrong site for that, pal. Most of us here aren't so close-minded and lacking in willing suspension of disbelief that we'd insist on shoving every minutia of real-life morality unto fanart and comics that are clearly supposed to taken as escapistly wholesome.

Well said!

Also wait EVERYONE JUST KNOWS the class rep got the girl to come to class?!

What but

But

But YOU'RE KEEPING THAT SECRET THAT IS THE WHOLE PREMISE

The secret is that she's getting something out of it, not that she got her to come to school.

This is so fucking cute it's mending my soul with every page.

I have a theory. "Phone girl" is actually Midori's fiance, he figured a while ago that Midori is actually still in love with Maki, and used wizardry to track her down and orchestrated everything thus far because he wants Midori to be happy with the one she loves and not be stuck in loveless marriage. This is also why he's acting like a prick to drive Midori and Maki together.

One can dream right?

Interested to see where this goes, not sure my heart is prepared though.

Hey, at the very least we finally had someone in this story recognize how fucked up the situation was...

This actually leaves me somewhat curious about the next chapter.

This was such an unnecessary chapter...

Unless it leads to something in the future.

So can I assume based on comments that everything that exists of this series is now up here? Cos the page still says "ongoing".

Been putting off reading this because I didn't want to read it incomplete.

Just when it actually gets somewhere it ends? That's a bit of a disappointment.

That girl is a bitch but why the fuck would she still has feelings for that bitch after 10 years? Irrational.

It kind of makes sense based on how their relationship ended, and that is partly on MC. She didn't convey her feelings to the blond girl, she just let go. Had she tried to fight for the relationship in any way and it still came to an end, she probably would have moved on.

I imagine basically in her mind, deep down, the relationship never really ended.

Oh man, those my-first-love-is-about-to-get-married feels... I'm guessing MC is gonna eventually either intentionally meet or bump into twitter-friend as well. Not sure if this is gonna go down the love triangle route though.

Anyhoo first chapter caught my attention, so I'm keen on seeing where the next chapter takes us!

I'm hoping this does something fresh, like MC moves on, gets with twitter friend, ex comes crawling back after failed marriage due to realizing her mistakes, MC rejects ex.

One can dream.

It's almost bittersweet ... only someone forgot the sugar.

The girl on the phone is pretty sweet, maybe she'll save our MC from this insensitive bitch she's in love with

joined Dec 18, 2018

Lol I just saw the synopsis in mangadex, I'm just gonna say prepare for drama...

Ah...fuck....

Here I was thinking "there is NO WAY it could get worse than this first chapter".
