This author's works usually disappoint me, but this has a lot of potential. I like the characters, especially the imouto, and the overall vibe the story has. Let's see where this goes.

The MCs of your romance story are too passive/shy/closeted/whatever so that there’s no progress. Solution: introduce another character.
The bad way: introduce a nuisance rival to create a love triangle.
The good way: introduce a relative/friend that ships them.

I wish more and more stories would do that, actually. Sick and tired of the love rival plot. Nowadays I don't have the patience and instantly drop a story if it introduces love triangle bullshit.

Idk but don't seem Aya was giving her consent here and Kuro kinda drag her in then she kinda assaulting her. I don't know if you can call it rape per se but that's still sexual assault.

Looks a bit different to me. She was a little forceful, yes. But Aya would have let it happen if she suddenly didn't realize that she was being used as a replacement. So I think she gave silent consent for the act before she stopped Sei. But everyone has their own perspectives. Let's just agree to disagree here.

Okay, why are people saying Sei tried to rape Aya in the first meeting? It did start out with her manipulating Aya, but the rest of it didn't seem non-consensual. Sei also stopped immediately when Aya expressed her discomfort. So how is it rape?

(Ignoring the fact that she is 16, which is the age of consent in a lot of countries, including Japan, where it's 14, I think. Forgive me if I'm wrong)

For one, toxic relationships fascinate me, and I like them in my fiction, as long as it doesn't include shit like cheating, ntr and het. So I want to see teach and Aya together cause they would have a very interesting dynamic imo. If you compare, Haruki x Aya is just...meh. Super boring.

Idk about others, I dislike Haruki because she comes off as a desperate thot to me. Her presence is just very annoying. Poking her nose where it doesn't belong. Like girl, stop. Either confess or shut the fuck up. Let Aya do whatever she wants.

You know what, IDGAF, I want the sensei and mc to be be together, no matter how toxic their "relationship" is. I dislike the friend and she can actually disappear. For good.
