Her Fanbox is hyper translated and every post has an english version lower down. Also it has official bonus chapters you'd only see there. Although the Seven Seas LN translations also have their own set of exclusive extra chapters, so some people support via all routes.

I really liked Blaze x Amiya initially when their first interactions were shown in the game, but as soon as Rosmontis was introduced, she and Amiya are OTP for me.

I shipped Amiya with Misha more, but Rosmontis does fill the gaping hole pretty good.

Social commentary on the shitty treatment women get at the hands of men in Japan (and globally) is arguably not common enough. People who are complaining about the men being "cartoonishly evil" should really take a step back and realize what sort of absurd shit is normally just accepted in anime/manga. Something to counter the typical sexism should be welcomed rather than dismissed.

In any case, I remembered reading the light novel a few months ago. Basically the story was written in reaction to the whole scandal where Tokyo Medical University rejected women applicants because they didn't want women doctors. Kaeruda also mentioned something about the high heels protest that was going on at the time.

Coudlve sworn it was mentioned during that afterword that they're male, but I might have gotten it confused with something else then.

Also, also: I liked the idea of MC being able to impress the ancient witch with her own worth, as it made their partnership somewhat on the same footing... But the witch went and "tuned her up", turning MC into Generic Isekai MC, which is off considering this is NOT an isekai.

That gets explained in more detail in the novel. She didn't give her new powers exactly, she just helped direct MC's power that was always there. Like if you had a bunch of blood carrying veins all tangled up and someone fixed it up to improve bloodflow, but for mana.

Don't take the whole "men are exaggerated assholes" as a personal attack from the author, the sexism angle is a driving force of why the MC hates everything she has to live with. Theres plenty of starry eyed ideal world occurrences that happen, but is it wrong for this series to have it when the market is completely saturated with seasonal self insert harems?

Oh, I don't think it's personal, it just breaks my SoD. I can't engage with the story seriously when the world is that nonsensical. That's just how I interact with fiction. I don't begrudge other people their enjoyment, but I figured I should at least offer a heads up to anyone else like me.

Like, the people in this thread asking why she's dressed like that? The answer is literally "because the men say that's what women have to wear." It offers no special defenses. It's not like Dragon Quest bikini armor where it's just assumed to work the same as full plate. Women adventurers in this world are just expected to dress like that and take the stab wounds as they come. I can't take that seriously. It's just not something I can overlook.

I mean, is it wrong for women to have their own power trip story that pokes holes at the concept of useless equipment and gender roles? The series is a lot of dumb fun, with plenty of moments that make you roll your eyes, but sometimes you go on a discussion board and realize "oh wow, there are actually people that think this way about women".

I completely get what you're saying though, I just know a lot of people will hate on it solely for how it addresses at gender roles and depicts men so negatively, so I felt a need to try providing some defence. Its completely fine to just find it not to your taste.

hahaha god "Sexiled" was a bad name, and honestly the depiction of men as cartoonishly sexist is one sided, but this was also written by a woman that just wanted to make a fun yuri story about fighting the system. I dont see much of an issue compared to half the edge that gets animated today (Redo's revenge rape justifications in the world of cum powers). Also the country being hyper sexist does get explained later in the novel, basically one guy with a huge inferiority complex against women a long time ago reached a position of power, and proceeded to cope so hard he made up bullshit that was implemented into the system, solely to make women beneath him.
