I'll be really disappointed if the ending's different, honestly. A breakup that painless and friendly is so rare in these stories, it was really refreshing and nice.

I've said it before, but I love these kinds of Touhou stories. Light and fun with some nice character interactions. I particularly like the awkward little exchange between Miko and Kaguya.

Seasons 1-5 are still streaming on Hulu. There are subs for all the seasons, and dubs going to season 2. I don't think they have any of the movies or specials, though.
I'd suggest the subs, and not just because I prefer the original voices. There's less censoring there too, if I remember right.

(Ami+Mako has always been my favorite ship, and I love the big black ballgown with the giant rose <3 )

A note to anyone reading the comments who hasn't read the manga yet:
If you're like me and decided to skip this because of the title and some of the tags, please give it a try. Three or four chapters, at least.
I was expecting cheaty drama garbage, but that is totally NOT what this story is about. It's just so damn sweet and kind of bitter. It brought me to tears a few times, but I want more. Even if it doesn't turn into an actual romance, that relationship is just..beautiful.

I can't root for Matsumoto. She's too much of a creeper.

Most probably its a reference to Koi-Koi a Hanafuda card game. The group in naruto is also a reference to that. Inoshikachō is a card combo that gives you extra points.

My first thought was the Ino-Shika-Cho trio from Kamichu.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and buy the available volumes, too. I love it too much not to own physical copies, same as with Hakumei & Mikochi and YuruCamp.

(and there's over 20 new chapters of material now. C'mon, give us a season 2 of the anime!)
