Cus it's super painful, so yeah it's pretty fucked up
Then again, it's not like it'd be easy to hide. A kid walking around without fucking fingernails is a pretty clear sign that something is wrong, so I'm guessing that it's not like Asahi goes to school or anything.
I makes me cringe so much seeing nails ripped off. Even real life decapitation didn't make me cringe.

Don't be so pessimistic, shit like Netsuzou Crap gets an adaptation, so there is, even if it's small, a chance it one day gets animated. And if I become really rich, I'll fund the Yuzumori-san anime myself ! Yes, that's how much I love this manga.
Prime example of how a manga with a good starting turns into a shitty manga when author keep pushing an inwanted male character down readers' throats only to drag the story.
Cuz yuri obviously can't be good without unwanted forced male characters and forced drama. rolling eyes
I would rather suggest to watch Parasyte rather than Tokyo Ghoul.
Tokyo Ghoul is inspired by Parasyte as both share extreme similarity at the beginning. Though Parasyte focus on psychological and emotional ascept of human behaviour.
So....we know what's going to happen (Fan Theory):
-her heart's going to have something go wrong, and she'll probably be in a coma or something before she can make her desire for a heart transplant known to anyone else
-doctor's going to passionately convince everyone it's what she wants and everyone's going to be all down for it
-Oh no! no heart avaiable
-Conveniently redhead dies, possibly doctor does it herself or donates her heart for blonde willingly
-blonde and doctor live happily ever after with a little bit of the redhead carrying on her memory
What? Cliché overload dude. And where is the role of the doctor's ex here?
Implying the current story and situation is not cliché at all :/
