I'm looking for a Touhou doujin. In it, Reimu's exorcism needles broke because she tried using them on a sacred day when tools were supposed to be allowed to rest, or something. Kogasa offers to make new ones, for a price, but when she delivered them to Reimu, the shrine maiden used the new needles to attack and chase the youkai girl off, so she wouldn't have to pay.

it is pretty comedic in a way when you're crushing on a girl and then all of a sudden your parents get married to each other so now it's like "shit I didn't want to be sisters, I wanted to be girlfriends this sucks"

This reminded me (if a bit more drama) of a manga where a girl mother divorced, moved in with her friend who also had a daughter and then they both ended up as pairs. Forgot the name of that one.

I loved it, the change of format for this one was also nice. Makes me wish for them to be able to adopt just so we could get a spinoff in the future or something haha.

Yeah, I didn't notice my first time reading, and was wondering why why looked so surprised at her hand on page 28.

It must have been something pretty harsh and unexpected, because I'm pretty sure Heath would have kept the rings if it happened in a situation where the severed arm was recoverable.

She still has the rings. You can see them on a string around her neck when she falls in front of Lily's grave.
