ok so not only were they really close like lovers, laughing and in that pseudo "i'm about to kiss you" position, but they also separated quickly after hana entered the room, which implies that they were worried that she would get the "wrong" idea.

second floor bedrooms. all the bedrooms are connected by a hallway, but ebi's room and hotei's room are connected by a balcony. note that the doors to ebi's room and hotei's room can be closed (and potentially locked, though I never suggest locking doors when you are taking care of a little kid, even if you plan on having sex with your significant other, being unable to access in cases of emergencies is a bad idea :P) anyway the point being that they could easily have behind doors activities without hana being any the wiser.

still, that ending wasn't nearly as fulfilling as I would have liked

and I don't get why someone would drop this now? yeah there is het, but that is all in the past, aren't you forgetting about keiko's current situation? she is living with ran, what we are seeing now is all backstory, and like some others have mentioned, there are more serious yuri elements in this than the rest of the manga!

this was tsundere, and not in a bad way which it can sometimes be.

I really liked this one, even if her senpai still made fun of her after they got together, its still love ^_^

I watched the anime first, and for some reason this had a more of a sisterly vibe to it, while the anime had more of a lovers vibe. so I would say the anime is yuri and the manga is shoujo ai, because you never get a love confession outside of being sister or friends. and the one time they do kiss it is seen as something impulsive and yuki is confused by it

I am a social progressive and maintain that taboo is societal construction that shouldn't govern your love life... that aside I personally think that I would be unable to be with a person not dedicated to me, and I wouldn't be able to dedicate myself to more than one person

I adore this one. The pacing is great, the panel layout is creative but not confusing, the writing is pretty tight, and I like how she underlines how loving a girl doesn't mean you're like a guy.

It's interesting though, how "I'm so embarrassed" became a sort of ritual phrase in yuri manga, you see it a lot around the same period. It's that weird Japanese link between sexuality and embarrassment, to the point where the embarrassment itself is fetishized. So authors like Chi-Ran can simply use that and the readers already know that there's sex happening.

I agree with pretty much everything here. I have never really understood why you have to be embarrassed by your sex drive/life? I think the Japanese have fetishized this because of the appeal it has for more "aggressive" readers :P

regardless, the part about it being their future memories that they experience is really awesome. very well written, and out of the box thinking for this yuri!

yeah I don't think that the super beautiful girl (kotone) would have been ok with cheating on someone, no matter how the writer may have written in other stories, the character written here is different. so when the main character asked "are you with someone?" I like to think that the response "yes a beautiful woman" was talking about the main, and that the main and the beautiful girl get together ^_^ ...though that is a loose interpretation

and monogamy aside (as a social construction) I am of the mind that love can only be dedicated to one person (romantic love) <3

there are very few "adult life" yuri I have seen, and I am loving this one... really wish it had a continuation so I could see if they actually develop a relationship

so I don't get it, how did some other author pick up maple love and do an extra? did they get permission from otsu hiyori or what? because I don't trust otsu hiyori stories with anyone but otsu hiyori, because otsu hiyori is love <3
