This mangaka is full of surprises.

I honestly though this was going to end up being a horror story where the girl was spirited away by mermaids and never seen again.

I wouldn't say this was rape since everyone involved had ample opportunity to say no/back out. Still fucking creepy and weird, though.

The story wasn't your typical forgone conclusion, and I was actually getting into it a little bit. The sex scenes were actually a distraction and I would have enjoyed this even more if they were toned down some.

Just once I'd like to see one of these things where the new girl shows up, gets molested, and promptly calls the cops. Then the rest of the manga is about everyone on trial for sexual assault as more and more girls come forward, and the defendants all turn on each other as they make plea deals, etc.

Obviously it wouldn't be cute or sexy, but it would be fucking funny as hell.

People really use dental dams? I mean, if someone is that dirty when even go there at all?

Considering all the creepy stalking, grooming, emotional manipulation and blackmail that goes on in these erotic manga, (not to mention the outright r*pe and p*do shit,) there's something almost pure and wholesome about straightforward prostitution between consenting adults. It even seems to be quite grounded and realistic, if heavily idealistic - no seamy underbelly here, or not that they've shown so far - which is nice. It manages to be quite sweet while still being very erotic, and keeps the reader engaged without getting bogged down in endless angst. Since I'm mainly interested in the romance side of things, the 'prostitution' tag almost made me skip this one, but I'm glad I gave it a shot.
