I wonder if the protagonist will fall in love with this science girl, go back to the world where males exist with her help, and then look for this girl's counterpart there? And that version of her won't have the memories of the their time together at first, but will kinda recover in a steins;gate/your name kind of way?

well I'd be really disappointed if it becomes that clichè, at least at the point we are now this story feels like it could go anywhere.

this is sad because this is my favorite website where I can find some lovely yuri at one place and forget about everything else, but those people are ruining the enjoyment.

I'm gonna just add to the point that starting a relationship with a friend and then managing to keep a healthy friendship after it ends up not working out is not a bad end at all. I wish I had the luxury of having such a "bad end" on a few past relationships. Yuri doesn't have to conform to romantic idealism all the time. It's nice to see characters that act like real people too.

Very bold art style. Shadows made of interesting sharp shapes, full contrast (no grey tones), and great use of wide angles! Really nice to look at!
I wonder if that color scheme is sustainable in the long run tho, it might bring too much attention to the sky and become tiring if the artist is not careful, and I'm curious to see if it works well in night scenes or if the artist has to do something different.

wow, they really took a seemingly light-hearted plot and cranked the drama up to 11 in just a chapter.

...guess I wouldn't be reading manga if that wasn't one of my guilty pleasures.

Maekawa's character feels less consistent now, tho. I mean, it was very clear she had a secret but that backstory dump was a bit too sudden, it's only chapter 4 and I feel like I have no idea what kind of person she is now.

My interest on this has been waning since the pacing of the story lately isn't nearly as good as it was in the beginning, but, wow, I loved that last page. Sometimes Uta's gestures are so on point! the way she closes her eyes anticipating the emotional pain is very relatable, it's also very complex because she's seeking relief in this. I mean, the gesture itself is very simple, but I think most mangaka lack that sensibility.

I'm guessing they're classically trained. It really stands out when mangaka distort their art in a way so respective of reality.

Yeah, I agree with the second part. However, I still think the perspective distortion and proportions are a bit "too consistent" to be done without software aid. Not that I think doing so is wrong or anything, I just find the human inaccuracies more charming.

sigh another "I'm just a cross-dressing guy, totally not trans" story. I've never really heard of a man staying in drag in their public life just because its a fun hobby they enjoy. It's just not something that really happens. Sure there are people who like to do the whole drag queen and drag king thing as a hobby, but the only time someone's gonna go through the effort to present like that throughout their daily life is if they're trans. I don't get why writers (of already gay material) need to bend backwards to portray this trope instead of just writing the story as it would occur in real life, which would be with a trans character.

Well, I've actually seen people who fit the "stays in drag in daily life but actually indentifies as male" thing. But I agree with you, the fact that this is kinda of an estabilished trope while the trans experience keeps being pretty much ignored feels really, really wrong to say the least

Nah. You just have a problem with reading comprehension.

Most people aren't very used to stories that are open-ended or not driven by cause and effect or led by characters that aren't transparent. I've worked as a photographer on a few "art house" films, so I'm very used to hearing this kind of critique.

Cute. I wish I was this innocent about indirect kisses back in school. But I guess when kisses on the cheek/hugs are common greetings between strangers in your culture, you can't really bring yourself to care about sharing straws or bottles (kisses/hugs could get me flustered, but when I shared a drink I'd only worry about if it was a hygienic thing or not.)

It's something different, but I fail to see how any of this would make sense in a relationship.

Plot twist #2: God is the girl whom the protag likes, and she doesn't let her confess because it would ruin their friendship.

Damn, this messes everything up on so many levels, that's the kind of plot twist I like

"we are mammals, after all" as an excuse to have a crazy boob fetish.
