Sumin did take advantage of Seju, and it's not even once, but multiple times. When Sumin kept coming back to her in the past, she's the one who seek after Seju. And yes, if they did break up normally, I would still see Sumin takes Seju for granted, considering how Sumin went to have sex with Seju and still use her for personal emotional outlet. And it's not only happening before Sungji comes. On the first few chapters, I still remember when they had sex, Seju said "why're you doing it this way ? You're taking your frustation on me, isn't it ?". If that's not considered taking advantage or using someone, I don't know what is.
Seju did wrong on a lot of parts, but Sumin ain't saint who did no wrong to her. Sumin treats Seju like an used towel that you still use when you have no clean towel in your closet.
@Newp sorry I can only give you virtual cookies XD

Sumin did hurt Seju at first for revenge, it was explained on a chapter, hence the phone sex and all. It's clear she still carries some resentment for Seju, though it's unclear if she still exhibits revenge on her. What we know is she just takes and takes from Seju.
Honestly, irl, a character like Sumin & Seju is so shameless lmao. One is willing to be exploited, and the other is taking everything for granted. But I tend to symphatize for Seju more because poor girl got no one who've loved her other than Sumin. Seju needs to be given the chance to learn that there's other type of love that can support you (other than romantic ones). Or else, she might've never moved on. But with her father dying, Sumin starts moving on, and her supposed-to-be-dead mother might be coming back, I see things are quite bleak for her :(

Thanks a lot Newp for the translation *throwcookiesforNewp
I am both Team Blonde and Team Pink at heart, so reading the last chapter kinda gives me a mixed feeling. I go asgdhdj kiss kiss for Blonde interactions but go all emo everytime Seju shows up. I am both #protectbabygirlSeju and #protectcinnamonrollSungji squad.
So it actually upsets me that people say if "X" or "X" is not in the story, the pairing A & B will stands on its own. Of course it can happen. But it would be a completely different story, and would take a different turn. If that's the logic, I could also say that in HPT, Hermione is not needed, because Harry Potter still can stands on his own.
So Seju is there for a reason. And tbh, I might get hate for this but still: for a main character Sungji's character is so vastly under developed compared to the other 2. It's to the point that up to ch. 30, I still questioned if she's just a filler character in the series. It still upsets me until now that Team Gaji makes her character way too simple, especially for someone who supposed to play a pivotal role to heal a broken person.
And now it's already halfway into the series, it's sad that we hardly see any proper character development for my cinnamon roll. So given that, without the depth that Seju character and her relationship provides in wdtfs, this story would honestly be very bland for me.
Sumin x Sungji are so adorbs omg. I like the part when sumin raised her hands lol.
I am somewhat happy that there're lots of dialogue this time, tho I don't understand a thing at all now lmao

Thanks a lot for the tip! I did it correctly now with the bold username haha, was wondering how did you guys do it before XD (I am pretty much a dummy when it comes to online thread)
Queerturtle,
Agree, I also find it annoying when people complained about Seju appearance, especially when she's integral to the story. Seju's hate online is a lot more than Sumin's hate, when I think it should be the contrary.
Seju's mistake is only the ONS, which she regretted gravely. Yet Sumin did wrong repeteadly, sober or not. Did she even regret treating her partners past Seju like crap ? Hardly. But people only leave it at that because Sumin's other partners are not their fav. Seju's mistake tends to get double standard compared to Sumin's.
And getting irrationally blamed for your lover's parents death might be more cancerous than being cheated on, which is the trigger event of everything.
God the thread moves so fast, lol.
Interesting discussion about polyamory. I think when it comes to polyamory, it's best to use the classic rule of thumb of pyschology, that nature (genetics) and nurture (society, environment) both come at play. Which one contributes the most ? You'll never know exactly, as each people are wired and "conditioned" differently, it's very hard to come into statistical conclusion.
Another thing that I may also add, polyamory relationship is hard to happen because your partners have to be polyamory as well. Now, what is the probability finding another TWO equally polyamory person as your lovers ? Very low. So then, what is the probability of polyamory relationship can happen ? Even lower. You can't be in a polyamory relationship if one of your partner is monogamous. So polyamory is not a product that is only based on nature or nuture, but also a product of specific condition: equally polyamory partners. That explains why a truly working polyamory relationship is very hard to find. You might be a polyamory, but to be in a working polyamory relationship is on another level.
So back to the story, it is just very hard for me to picture that wdfs would end up as threesome. Honestly, I would love that to happen, because then everyone is happy. Happy = healing, yeay. But there would be a lot of grounds, hills, and seas that the author would have to cover if Team Gaji wants to keep the story intact. Polyamory requires a lot of trust and acceptance from each person in the relationship, how would the author cover that development for SejuxSungji relationship (while keeping the story intact) ?
Thanks a lot Newp for the translation!
Oh my, Seju's story seems to be the most tragic. Our poor lady :(
I agree completely on Dofudofu point, that Seju's character is most realistic/relatable. Seju grew up in a messy & unloving family, who thinks of her existence no more than a trash. It's common for people who grew up in such environment to have low self worth. As what Nami said, she lower her self-esteem too much for Sumin (comparable as a dog and owner). But Seju does not even care.
Seju is like the typical people who lacks of love growing up. So when she found someone who actually loved her dearly and cherish her existence, the effect is intensified and she hang on it obsessively. Seju is just not used to be loved.
The continuous car giving thing may be a symbolism from Seju to accommodate Sumin to continue "go wherever you are" aka continue seeking for Seju, just like what Sumin said when she gave her the white car. Only that she's using the car to seek for another blonde now, lol.
First time reading a manhwa (WDTFS) and I feel lucky to stumble into this thread lmao. Glad to see that most of the people here are level headed and offer many interesting opinion.
I would say that my favorite character in this story is Seju, she's the character that I can not fully grasp yet and provide the "it" factor in the story. Because honestly if it's not to find out more about her character and what role she would play in the game, I would have abandoned this story past Chapter 30, when the story development had gone stagnant. Glad that it starts picking up in the last few chapters tho.
I find Sumin's character to be unstable as hell, and maybe a bit of a hypocrite. She told Seju to die, but she came back when things went awry and still use her as personal emotional outlet whenever it's convenient (not that Seju is any better for this lol). I find Sumin character a bit frustrating at times, as it seems that she's type to run from the problem, instead of handling it. She's still damn cute tho, so I love her lol.
And Sungji, ugh, this cinnamon roll :,)
Sungji is still too innocent and naive tbh. She's too infatuated about Sumin that she only cares about the fluffy fluttering feelings in love and sex. She seems to overlook any negativity that Sumin has exposed. But then it provides her an advantage, she is simple, period. Sumin's love life is too over complicated and messed up, and Sungji with her simplicity and her simple idea of first love might bring Sumin to her old self, when her love to Seju is not calculated and simple.
I am now looking forward on how the three would intersect with each other. I would be gravely disappointed if the author did not make a proper confrontation or closure of the three. I would also be disappointed if Team Gaji would just throw Nami out of nowhere to suddenly make it a double date and make Seju suddenly goes:
"OMGGAAHH I didn't realize that I've been in love with Nami all this time".
Given the plot, the character, and the history, it's just way too unrealistic, just no.
