The main reason this author causes such a stir in yuri circles is because how good his two outings were, or almost were, and then ended in disgrace or dissatisfaction. There's a difference between this outcry and dumping on a shitty artist whose stuff sucks. And it's mostly said in fun.

I don't get the base behind these kinds of manga, tomboys are tomboys for a reason and if they wanted to dress up cute, they would dress up cute. Sometimes you just need to do what you want to do without thinking about what people think about you.

That's a good moral. Someone should write a manga about it, or maybe just a one-shot.

It's pretty easy to be empathetic to this character, and you'd have to try pretty hard to find her depiction intolerant or whatever.

I love that MC's friends seem to have personalities and motivations if their own. Too often there will be a yuri story set against daily life situations, but the characters unrealistically only seem to interact with and matter to each other. This author seems to be immediately characterizing those two, as well as the gyarou classmate and the girl from her story.

I've loved this all along, but come on. Either come up with a new source of drama or start dealing with some of the deeper issues that have been set up with their relationship. I'd take either of those over redoing the same drama as before.
