Me, two years ago:

Welp, I just finished binge-reading this for the first time, and it was amazing. Can't believe I've waited this long.

I know we're on Simpsons Elastic Clock, but I'm ready for the 7 year timeskip. There's an awful lot of continuity piling up for a group of girls who've had six or seven Christmases without ever advancing in grade.

I think what sets this specific 'antisocial loner' from the other cliché ones is that she has her own hobby (sumo and piano classes, can't tell if she enjoys those) rather than constantly being miserable about being an 'outcast'. We can tell she's into literature (not the common archetype of being a secret weeb).

okay this looks interesting, and the art is cute

tackling someone after a nerve wrecking experience (in this case, your girl's exam) is very real

Big ouch on Violet's behalf; the sentiment of 'everything you're saying is reasonable, but I've been stewing in hate and resentment too long to be able to accept it that easily' is a real thing, if rarely copped to so openly. Heck, throwing her inclusion in the gem business would be a hell of a coup if profit was her only interest (and sidenote, getting a trade professional in on that rather than just Frost is something that I suspect would let them stretch the value further even if there wasn't intentional price gouging).

My guess/hope is that Frost and Shion are going to need to team up to beat the dragon, which just might get Violet to relent, especially if there's a particularly dramatic moment of the Black Knight covering for her bodyguard.

Agreed with everything you've said, and I've been hoping for a Frost/Shion bonding scene ever since their very (un)serious fight.

And speaking of Haruyo's many faces, it's not easy putting a voice to each of them. Especially when there's some small bubbles to work with.

This manga has so many subtle shifts in language I'd actually seen translators say they passed on picking it up for that very reason.

Thanks for the translation, all the dialogue feels so 'smooth' while reading. Love the extra pages too.
