Based on how similar that girl looked to Konatsu, I have to assume that the school is actually a secret cloning facility dedicated to creating yuri clones of people. Konatsu was the first yuri clone to escape and the two girls that Koyuki met were about to run off with one another.

I felt Nakazawa a bit out of character. I know we only see him for about 5 minutes total in the anime and movies, but from that time he seemed a little meek and less likely to take the lead. Compared to here where he slams Kyouko up against the wall talking about how thats how a man shows his love or whatever.
