Yeah, it sucks when two girls being close turns out to be lesbian bait, but I never got that vibe from this series. It did a really good job of establishing Hakumei and Mikochi's relationship as one of intimacy, but not of romance.

Sometimes gals really are just being pals.

I actually found the whole rundown of yuri tropes as a reason she can't be with Hanaoka a bit out of character, based on how she's been so far. She doesn't seem like the sort to confuse fantasy and reality that way. I guess it's possible to justify that this is an excuse because she's afraid of being in a romantic relationship, but even that feels like stretching it a lot.

Ibuki's been shown to be very aware and considerate of long-term life planning (her talking about her post-graduation plans during their first date) and have a very active imagination (her getting anxious in the hotel afterwards), so I found it to be a feasible extension of those two characteristics.

Part of it does feel like an author tract on the yuri and romance genres, but it's brief and I agree with the point, so I can't bring myself to criticize it.

Yessss, this series continues to satisfy.

Marisa. Her brashness and spontaneity are fun to watch, and I like seeing her personality bounce off of the more reserved and considerate characters in the cast.

Just been re-reading the chapter 25 and just spotted something, why would Machi own or wear a hoody? Seems kind of pointless.

It can still serve its purpose. Heat can escape from the exposed skin on top of her torso, so covering it would help keep her warm in cold weather. If it rains she can put the hood over the base of her neck so it doesn't get wet and water doesn't get under her clothes.

Well, that's all assuming there are no negative ramifications in obstructing the smokestack thing she has going on.

No, I also got a very whimsical, shonen-esque vibe from the story. The absurdity of Sourin's behavior was definitely played for humor.

I agree with the other assessments here: it felt like the author was missing a lot of steps in the plot and just rushing to the sex. Very porn-y.

Which is a shame, because the story has a lot of yuri elements and tropes I enjoy, but they aren't as put together as I'd have liked.

I don't know why exactly but the line "I'm normal" really bothered me. I still love this though.

I'm guessing because in context it implies that a girl being attracted to another girl is abnormal.

Everyone was so on edge about Maiko's ex-girlfriend status screwing with Hana and Hina's relationship, but them never having dated at all somehow screwed with things even more.
