Maybe the best way would be if she made a wishlist for some stuff somewhere and people would get her whatever they want.

I wonder if Ssamba will ever do that. But she should definitely create a postal PO box so we could mail in our love letters to her lol.

Comico better pay her well, based on her view counts. Authors/artists deserve comfort to maximize their creativity. If Ssamba ever published, I'd buy in a heartbeat. Or she should start selling FF's posters. Her art is so beatiful. She might not have the best skill in drawing background (and fingers lol), but her character's facial expression is always spot on. It conveys so much.

The donation is a nice idea, but do you think that Ssamba will be really happy to receive such a thing, i mean some people want to deal on their own with the problems? I wish i knew her address, i could've sent her an old-fashiond letter expressing my love for FF and giving my support .

I've sent her email expressing my thanks. Hopefully she reads English well lol.

Maybe we should ask her to create a PO box at the post office and share the number with us. So we could send her our love.
Halmoni, maybe you could help us send the message in Korean??

You know FF have thousands of fans. Even just a dollar a month from each person would help Ssamba to live a lot more comfortably and therefore will give us a wonderful complete story. FF is the food for our soul. Anyone agrees?

Seriously, i could notice Ssamba's stress just from Seola's choice of clothes. She was much more fashionable and full of life. Yes it could be because Seola has been under a lot of stress of "coming out to her own self." But considering her history and personality, her closet cannot be that plain and dull like recently lol.

Again, I'm really interested in raising a fund for Ssamba. Does anyone have an idea how to start this?

My heart is starting to melt. Seola is so cool about everything. Her confidence is top notch lol

Oh how I miss Seolrae. Almost a week away. Could time fly faster?

Thanks Halmoni.
Woa, so Seola and Jihwan dated in high school. That time when she flirted with Jihwan in front of Yuji after the accident was probably during their dating period.

You see, Yu ji's death is unconfirmed.

What you mean "unconfirmed"? The friend who told Seola about Yuji's death was a close friend to Yuji. The death is confirmed. It's just that Seola didnt want to accept it as true and preferred to act like she didnt know about it

These two live on sarcasm, they fully understand each other. That's why they say things they do and still interact with each other and are not offended. Because there was nothing offending in those words.

You said my thoughts better than I do lol. Completely agree.

I just saw the raws for chapter 18 and oh my

That got pretty steamy

Right? She's quite good lol. I really hope the translation team could speed up a lil bit. It's been so long and while raw updates have been so steady.

Takachi, i really like your analysis throughout the discussion. However I gotta say I quite disagreed on your negative analysis of Jihwan's personality. Yes, you could say he's an antagonist since he's playing an "obstacle" role between Seola and Norae. But to say his personality negatively affected Seola was too off. Seola and Jihwan are quite similar in their playful personality due to the fact they had very similar profiles (attractive, smart, coming from wealthy families, being the center of attention since younger). Jihwan's teasing Seola is no difference from Seola's bitching her brother. In the end they know their words are just for the heat on the surface at the moment, and in no way would badly taken by the other party. I gotta admit sarcasm is always fun between close friends, where no ill intentions were assumed.

that, or the one who actually set everything up was No-rae herself, i.e. Hye-kyung has never ever been invited lol

If this is the case, then the phrase 'special chapter' takes a whole different, delicious meaning lol

Lol you wish. I know Norae would never be that bold.

Thanks a ton for the fast typeset btw.

next chapter will be special/extra/bonus according to Ssamba's blog

Then expect a break from the story ;(

But the chapter after the special is always a good chapter. I think Ssamba is planning on something happened on their "date"

Omg i cant wait for 2 weeks to pass by.

I wondered why no one liked this. It's very relaxing for me. I loved the extra, everything sounded poetic.

Sometimes I wonder if Ssamba knows about the international fandom and is aware of all the fanart stories. Maybe someone should write to Ssamba how we appreciate her weekly update so much

Confused... Was that 1:1 between Ji Hwan and Seol A before (thus flashback) or after the scene with him and No Rae?

Smooth move Seol-A.

Thanks for translation and imgur posting.

Now that someone was also confused about the timeline of this chapter, I admit it was confusing too lol.
Maybe Ssamba forgot to to distinguish the flashbacks scene. She was rushing towards the deadline afterall. Only 2 possibilities:

  1. The hug scene was a flashback, it happened before they went to the hot pot. Either Seola or Jihwan was thinking about the hug during the meal.

  2. The hug scene was after the hot pot. Seeing Jihwan hugging Norae made Seola remember what he told her during the meal. And teng teng teng, Seola was motivated to be a lil more aggressive.

I'm more on the latter

Thank you thatanon and Halmoni for the great work you put into this FF fandom

Seola: want me to buy you some gloves?

Seola always sounds like a wealthy guy lavishing young girls with money and gifts. In Norae's case = food food food

I think this needs a 'shounen' tag. I usuallly like this kind of series but this one was so boring. Every character was super boring. And probably best girl will lose

Seconded

Ji-hwan: ...There's a butterfly perched on a flower.

Sounds like he was talking about Norae and Seola. Norae is the butterfly and Seola is the flower

ieeheh:

I kinda read it like the butterfly is a symbol for love more than an actual character. It flutters around quickly, never staying in one place for too long, but captivates those who glimpse it.

Ji-hwan recalls his encounter with the preserved butterfly and connects it to his feelings for No-rae. Not that his feelings are dead, but more like he can look back on them in a "museum case" and their beauty is still very much present, but just aren't the same as when they were "alive". (the museum being significant because it is a universal symbol of antiquity)

Under this light, the significance of Ji-hwan saying that "There's a butterfly on a flower" would be that love has decided to present itself on a metaphorical silver plate for Seol-a, and that she should pay attention to it while it's still in front of her, or risk having to see it in a museum case if she waits too long.

Well, that's just my take- what does everyone else think about this?

As always, thanks to halmoni and all those involved with translating/typesetting etc.

The butterfly representing love was one of my interpretations too. But thinking Seola the flower made it more fun lol
