i.want.more.

According to Okazu theres a few more chapters dealing with Mrs lesbian cop which is great, it seems im not the only one who likes this trope, its a nice change from the focus being on the main girl since i can't help but feel like she's just a sheep walking into a den of hungry wolves ready to pounce every chapter. (you can only have so many chapters of that before it gets tired.)

Yuriception, a yuri within a yuri was actually what was running through my head at that part haha.

A yuri written in a yuri about a girl named Yuri.

speaking of which to my knowledge Yuri is a Russian name, did they ever mention in the story which country Yuri's western parent was from?

I can't wait to see the extra's, if only to see if its really this game changing masterful romantic completion of the story everyone is implying it will be rather then just a bunch of unconnected extra bits filled with characters reflecting on events in the main story and going to the mall/hotel/beach like 99% of manga extras.in any case my interest for the series peaked about the time theyl addressed the elephant in the room about why exactly she was writing gay romance, was kinda hopeing at that point it would cover a bit of self discovery like one of my favorite manga's kimochi no katachi.

So that framing device of having her write the manga that you're reading? Clever ain't it!

Police girl is not exactly my type, but I think she is fine? What's with all the hate? She doesn't seem like a bad person.

Anyway, the whole police thing does seem like a rather wild twist in the plot though, particularly if there's just one chapter left. As a story I think I like Cirque Arachne better. Nonetheless this chapter was pretty enjoyable. Thanks to the Yuri Project team!

I think the wild twist already happened with the bathroom threesome and BDSM club really this is actually allot tamer then i expected it would be. Being someone who likes the lesbian cops trope (or at least its a trope on tvtrope, i personally rarely see it.) this appeals to me. I don't think raubritter was meant to be taken seriously it seems like more of a silly fun manga as apposed to Cirque Arachne which is a more serious gay version of keliedo star.

  1. How can you exclude extras???? They're like the epilogue, they're part of the story.

I don't get this either, extras can be used to tell something that happened before the story (Secret recipe), or after a timeskip for a "where are they now" epilogue (Notes) or even to tell something that happened during a timeskip (Hoshikawa)...they're useful, so why would you throw it away ?

Because a plot is not structured with extra's in mind. you have a run-up, a moment of truth, a climax, and an aftermath all of which have already happened. extra's are nice but in general its bad practice to make them necessary to finish your story, climaxing multiple times is not often done either. (incoming sex joke in 3....2....)

What I find interesting is in the end where Shinobu finishes up her story after seeing Yuri and Fujiwara make up. It ties into the beginning of the whole series nicely when Fujiwara mistakes Yuri's manga being about herself and Yuri and Yuri denying it. Turns out it was them all along! XD

That actually ended up being the real life case of Eiki-Eiki and Zaoh, friends of them pointed out events in a yoai manga they wrote actually happened in real life with them. I wonder if the author took inspiration from that.

I enjoyed this one a lot more than I thought I would (still wondering why the spin off is called a spin off if it's part of the story...but whatever). I rarely find anything with this kind of ending that isn't tagged depressing_as_fuck or tragedy.

I fell in love with Tokarev so was kinda sad she was killed, but at the same time wanted to shoot her in the head myself for that lame explanation of the origin of the school. That probably could have been more...I dunno drawn out as well as the supernatural aspect of the story (i.e. the school being there cause of a wish). There was so much that could have been done with that but it didn't happen, which gives it an empty, meaningless feeling when you think about it.

However, despite its flaws, the ending was very fitting for this series and left me wanting more...even though there never will be. TTwTT

I had a similar feeling in girlfriends when mari gave the "kitten" explanation, I've seen some hardcore closet case's but man was that one hard to suspend my disbelief for. I personally think in this case the author just needed to quickly wrap it up to meet a deadline.

Is it just me or are tennis, archery, and baseball really popular sports in yuri?

Sometimes i wonder if yuri project just hates the people who read the translations.

Unlike you I don't pretend to speak for anyone but myself.

I guess you were just trying to heckle people and insulting they're ability to read for the fun of it then, as you've proven without a shadow of a doubt i was the only one who didn't like the ending. if you only speak for yourself i recommend removing the yuri project tag then. for what its worth i enjoyed your translation and am aware of the special chapters i just think that the chance to make a truly good ending was botched and won't have the same impact if the story needs extra's to flesh the situation out further. (i usually exclude extra's when judging a story as a whole.)

Thanks for the valuable insight, ambassador.

The ending was awesome dudes. Just because they weren't having sloppy makeouts on the grass doesn't mean it wasn't a great ending to the story. Like Ebisu-san, sometimes showing the manga ending just as the relationship really begins is the best ending possible, as it doesn't have to force in a kiss just for the sake of having one. The bonus chapters adding more to said relationship is just the icing on the cake.

I don't think anyone was looking for that, But i would have definitely liked to see some acknowledgement of past events, I mean if a samesex "friend" of mine offered me the chance to experiment with same-sex relationships I probably wouldn't ignore it the next day like the main character did. some sort of reaction is to be expected when you drop a bomb like that (especially since if i remember correctly she spent time in the west before going to japan, in the rare event ignoreing your friends homosexual lust for you is a Japanese things lol.). overall i liked the story but after that part it kinda jumped the shark.

At least he traced a Stock photo, Greg Land gets paid about $500 a page to trace everything from porn to movies like Troy.

The more I read over this one, the more disappointed I am in it. It seemed cute at first but I've gotten so tired of the oblivious love interest trope. It's like manga characters, especially in yuri seem to not only catch the Idiot Ball, they make sweet sweet love to it.

I often wonder why people like that bother, i feel defeated whenever i have to check a reference photo to fix a body thats perceptive doesn't look right and can't imagine if I had to trace everything to convince people i had any talent. I find it ironic that the comic and game industry loves to sue people for infringement yet is one of the biggest offenders must be the "to big to fail" mentality.

I'm amazed at how many people seem to be unable to read. So especially for them: http://yuriproject.net/notes-from-the-garden-of-lilies-ch07/ http://yuriproject.net/notes-from-the-garden-of-lilies-ch07/ http://yuriproject.net/notes-from-the-garden-of-lilies-ch07/ http://yuriproject.net/notes-from-the-garden-of-lilies-ch07/ http://yuriproject.net/notes-from-the-garden-of-lilies-ch07/ http://yuriproject.net/notes-from-the-garden-of-lilies-ch07/

and

While this may be the last regular chapter, the series isn’t quite over yet. There are still over 30 pages of extras to go >which will expand on the ending and include another Shinobu x Asuza subplot, among other things. So look forward to it.

Im sure everyone can read, but that the shared opinion is that the ending was lackluster/generic and that a few 3-4 page extra's won't change that.

Canceled due to tracing? Fuck yeah.

And this is part of why my love for American comics is gone. In Japan, you even get accused of tracing, you're done. In the US if you're caught blatantly tracing, you're the hottest name in comics (yeah, I'm looking at you Greg Land).

With that said, I've got to agree with the last few posts, this whole "End the story on the confession" is getting old. That's why Prism was such a great read, because it went beyond that and showed the ramifications of being gay (especially in Japan).

And its not like its subtle at all, you can literally type in the word "crying girl" and find that traced image on the first page of google, im one of those few artist's out there that doesn't draw people from reference and instead learn proper anatomy instead of swipeing someone's stock photo and expecting people won't find out.

Disappointing end, bonus chapters or no I feel like I've read this this ending a bunch of times before. I have a hard time believing anyone could be that oblivious when there "friend" invites them into a lesbian relationship while pinning them down on a bed... i mean i figured that would come up in the ending but not even a thought bubble.

Interesting story and looks great. i wish it would have gone into more detail.

I thought the boobs had plenty of detail myself.

I could do without all the constant mentioning of of being sisters, its almost like this manga is trying to be psuedo incest.

I wouldn't be the same, how you put two opposite girls living in one house ?

This is really dramatic and is incredible how complicate things can become for someone,

It happens down here all the time, though usually results in a bunch of angry roomates not talking to eachother for days.

i dont know about japan but asian countries usually have more tolerance towards homosexuality. i'm from one and we are pretty chill about it.

From my experience it seems to be the case, so long as you don't make a big scene about it or talk about it publically. I can't help but wonder why this story is told from the sisters POV, i think it would be 2x better if it was more from Ena's POV.

Well that was... weird, On one hand i liked the art and thought it was nice... and then the awkward as hell sex scene happened I knew it was coming because of the magazine this is in but still that was some of the most unsexy dialogue i've ever seen.

The level of detail of the drawing style is bordering obsession. Look at those elaborate clothing designs for example. This looks good.

Strangely though black hair is kinda haphazerdly drawn, yet ena has very well drawn hair. chapter two was great tough the sister is having more of a homophobic response then chapter 1 would have had me believe.

I think it was tragedy because her mom died.. but yet again it's not much of a loss considering her mom hit her ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I think its more likely tragedy applies to the fact the main character is going to commit serial murders along with the main vampire.

Wait, there are yuri-oriented shorts? Which ones?

The ones by Earth Star Entertainment in general, although I just checked and they only made 3 (within the last 9 months though) so they're not as prolific as I thought they were. Teekyuu in particular sports a strong degree of yuri fanservice; I wouldn't call either of the other ones especially explicit (just subtext, if that, within all-female casts), but Yama no Susume is also very very good.

Their upcoming Sekai de Ichiban ni Naritai is also looking pretty good (if also fanservicey -- it's about female pro-wrestling, after all), but it's planned as a full series. Main point is that I noticed them sorta following Kirara in publishing lots of subtexty 4koma material, but really it is great to blow past that with a legit yuri series, much as I enjoy the other stuff.

Morishima Akiko is a fan of female wrestling, im surprised she hasn't made a series about that yet.

It wouldn't be that surprising if the guy turned out to be cheating because, after all, this

It's kind of hard to lose something so strongly attached to your cell phone, but the guy is missing his face so he probably misplaces a lot of things.

I take LifeCharacter's stance on the protagonist's reaction though; it was just her immediate, not-well-thought-out emotional reaction. If it turns out it was just the guy's honest mistake, I think lil' sis has shown enough awareness/self-reflection that she wouldn't stay all blown up about it.

I think it's pretty valid if authors (yuri or otherwise) present guys as jackasses in teenage relationships in general though, because -- let's be honest -- the highschool dating scene is pretty damned shallow. I take that as a default stance for both guys and girls, the whole population. The main idea is, while it is nice to occasionally see a genuinely nice/decent guy in yuri, I don't mind at all the general portrayals of them 'cause most of the time they could actually be called pretty realistic.

You should read some stories from myst magazine, those guys were basically early career supervillains. usually if they don't bother drawing a character a face that character is just a plot device and in this case he's being used so that the sister can compare a cute and fairly happy lesbian couple to her evil boyfriend.
