Yeah, but that’s exactly the standard pre-transition transfem experience.

I'm not saying this story will necessarily turn out well - I don't know what direction it'll take. The love interest's focus on her lower bits could turn out fetishistic... or it could be the first step toward her realizing she doesn't need bottom surgery to be a girl. Hard to tell yet.

But here's the thing : no cis guy looks in the mirror and feels horrified at having a dick. That's just not a cis male reaction. This reaction is unmistakably transfem, even with all the "I'm a man" self-denials.

Yeah, I have faith in the mc, I don't deny they really want to be a girl. It's the author and their intentions what worries me

I can already see certain people posting this comment section later to some social media site to be transphobic against trans people for daring to feel uncomfortable over something that the more I look at it the more it's just obviously meant to be transphobic garbage full of hate.

It's not what the character says about themselves but how the author portrays it what is the problem. And so far nothing the character has said screams "I'm a girl!" at all, they don't see themselves as a girl.

"If only I could abandon this body and be reborn as a beautiful girl..."

"Goddammit! I hate this! Even though I finally look like my ideal self!"

I'm not even gonna cite the several instances the character states "I'm a man". No matter the desires of becoming a girl, the fact that they still perceives themselves as a man is what bums me off. My main concern is what the author wants to do and their views on the matter or intentions, and so far they don't seem promising, but rather like poking fun of trans people

The whole "deceiving" element is what makes it feel fetishist, as the mc doesn't perceive themselves as a girl, not even a trans girl. It doesn't take any matter seriously, not the transgender thing, not the lesbian thing, nothing.

Not feeling like a "real girl" and self-hating for being "deceiving" is an extremely common trans fem experience.

The issue here is how the author is portraying the character. So far, it doesn't look like it's a trans fem character, what the author has portrayed so far in my eyes is the oh so problematic (in this site) "femboy", a character that dress and talks and "act", you could say, like a girl, but doesn't perceive themselves like a girl. It's not what the character says about themselves but how the author portrays it what is the problem. And so far nothing the character has said screams "I'm a girl!" at all, they don't see themselves as a girl. And please don't try to explain trans fem issues to me, I know them, I'm trans myself.

I think the worst call out from this is the title itself, at no point the title says they reincarnated as a girl, but rather "in a Yuri game" but later states that "that thing" is still there. I don't know, I just see many red flags and I'm expecting the worst from this story

After all, the mc before dying liked the game because it was girl on girl. If he went to the game and still perceives himself as a man, doesn't that break the entire point of it? Even if they're on "denial" about actually being trans doesn't matter, as that doesn't seem to be the author focus at all. All in all, I'll give this a few more chances but this doesn't even seem like "Yuri" to me

This is possibly my favorite manga on the site, and I've been here a while! And while we are making predictions, I'm surprised no one is talking about the graffiti rose that so conveniently happened to be at their new meeting point. I keep thinking, are the odds really so low that someone else saw their letter exchange in that book? Maybe they've got an ally, could even be painting girl. But of course, that's just speculation for now

well, this is interesting, I guess, it's nice we see the character that showed up in just a few panels of the previous chapter. I mean, what's nice is that nothing the author chooses to do is innocent. Everything is planned and that's good.

Still, I ask myself will this be something good? Not for them but for the story itself. I think a third wheel was unnecessary really. Some stories have a use for it, this one didn't seem like it.

And Sumi-chan's reasoning is also something that bothers me a bit. Of course, she's been shown to be "insecure" and not feeling enough before, but to think she's doesn't deserve her Onee-sama and that she should rather hand her to someone else?? Why would she think that? Mental gymnastics at its finest. Haruyo's shown to have a deep appreciation for her, even if I don't think Sumire's love and Haruyo's love are "the same". But why would she go so far as to distance herself from her? It doesn't make sense to me

I don't see it as ruining it. Of course he's barging in without being invited and intruding her mother's privacy, but sometimes when people feels "left out", they do what they can and what they know in order to "reconnect". What I mean to say is, maybe this will be for the better. Maybe he'll learn to see her mother in a different light, essentially, as another human being with desires and a life of her own.

I speak from the experience of when my sister came out and distanced herself from the family. My dad was really hurt by it (my sister distancing from us, not her being a lesbian), and tried how he could to reconnect with her. Of course, his methods were rough and lacked touch, but he did the only things he knew, as a person with a severe lack of emotional intelligence. Eventually, he learned to have more touch, he learned healthier ways, and my sister learned he missed her. What I mean to say is, it starts rough when people lack emotional intelligence, but it's what they do when they don't know other ways. Starts are never easy, and I see this as a way for her son to finally start to truly connect with his mother.

Sorry if this is too large of a response, but since I viewed it in a very different way from you, I wanted to explain my point

Cause this is not only a woman discovering she's a lesbian type story, I know I'll state the obvious but with the main character being a 69 year old woman, it makes it so much different, so many more things to think about other than just "oh, I'm in love with a girl!!", she's got a whole family and not only that but A WHOLE LIFE she's lived essentially as a completely different person. To make such a turn around to your actual self at such a late point in your life takes so much courage and it's sure to make such 180° changes to everything. To write a story like this takes a lot of courage in order to write it in a realistic way and respectful way of what would be to come out and realize your sexuality at such an age.

This series truly amazes me. It baffles me with how good and, even in its "simplicity", how ambitious it is. I love it

I'm done with this shit, this is not being hurt or resentment anymore, Komaki is just an awful person for absolutely no reason at all. She's not fair, she's just despicable and I can't with that. I wouldn't want Wakaba ending up with such an awful person as a partner so I'm dropping this right now. Too much pain for absolutely no gain at all, nothing can fix these girls sadly

It's not often I care or even ship the main couple, for some reason I always look for a secondary ship or even the third wheel and end up rooting for that one instead, but I LOVE THIS MAIN COUPLE HERE, they're so good for each other and their dynamic is so unique and fun. I subbed to this artist's patreon because in their Twitter it said there was nsfw artwork there, and in the little sneak peaks there was several works of hololive members. However, when I subbed, I stumbled upon the fact that all the nsfw artwork was futa, which I don't have anything against, it's just, it didn't look futa in the sneak peaks and neither on their Twitter or their Patreon said anywhere that the NSFW was all futa (all), so it looked like regular yuri to me from the previews but it wasn't

So I felt kinda deceived and just wanted to rant a little cuz I feel like I wasted 5 bucks lol
