Btw, if other gurls were guys instead we would have a lot of complaints about men being predators.

Those are two different things, aren't they? Our current social dynamics makes one these scenarios a fantasy and the other something not that far from reality.

I have a friend who's a very pretty model, and if you hang out with her on any public space you have to deal with men going as far as interrupting your conversation just to hit on her, it's ludicrous.

Oh, c'mon people, it was obvious that it would end up in gag like that. It was only a matter of how many sexual innuendos they could snuck in and still get away with the twist. And looking from that angle, I'd say it's quite good, but it also feels kinda like filler, so it would be a good "extra" chapter.

As a Librarian I can assure you that I would happily ignore the minor background noise ;)

And yes, what happens in the library, stays in the library. You DON'T want to know some of the stuff I've seen 0.o

You're making me curious

The way sensei's eyes are drawn looks really messed up this chapter, what the hell. Were they always like this?

C'mon, nothing in this manga is realistic.

One of the appeals of manga is how utterly stupid things can get. It's like every author is competing with the rest to design the most emotionally incompetent set of characters.

Considering Yuri manga's standards, the main scenes of this one are quite realistic, I don't know what you're talking about.

This manga has a lot of flaws, mostly with the pacing and side characters, but "realism" isn't really the way to address it. Uta, for instance, is quite the interesting character. She's an emotional time-bomb but in a way that's not over-emphasized. It's the little gestures that convey the best how much pain and stress she's under.

Love triangle or not, it's good to challenge these two who prospered in isolation with the terrors of inclusion lol

I would say it's hardly a love triangle? Regardless, the story seems to be putting down hurdles for Fujishiro and Kurokawa to overcome, like an arc for character development.

Fujishiro is likely going to distant herself while Kurokawa will be left to wonder why?? They need to confront each other to know what's the problem and
boom!
character and relationship development.

Some people here claim it will inevitably become a love triangle, so I was saying regardless of whether that actually happens, this is a good way to develope their characters and relationships. You basically have the same idea as me.

I don't think this is really a love triangle either, I actually like love triangles, when they're well written and unpredictable.

But I must say I also don't think this is good character development. The "sudden transfer student" who happens to be the perfect fit to move the plot forward always feels like lazy writing to me. The chapter was basically a series of convenient events meant to bring up the precise points about Iro that could stir up Fujishiro's insecurities. There was nothing organic about that, it's way more interesting when the jealousy is caused by a character we're invested on or have opinions about rather than a Plot Point-san.

hmmm... this felt more like an epilogue or afterword than a proprer conclusion. Guess I hoped for something more climactic. it was still heartwarming, though.

Great series. Canno did a wonderful job. Besides Girl Friends, this is the one I'd like the most to see adapted into an anime.

(sigh) I know there are people who have masochistic tastes. However, why does anime, and manga always make characters, that take it to ridiculously over the top levels. It's not funny, it's creepy.

I think this manga's saving grace is how over the top it is. Also, even though I'm very used to the exaggeration humor of anime and manga, this one still manages to take unexpected turns, I never expect schoolgirls to get that crazy about mundane things.

Yeah let's fight biphobia by straight up censoring or banning people who just find stories about bisexual girls disgusting, I'm sure it's going to work.
Banning someone simply for expressing an opinion is utterly ridiculous, people have the right to like or dislike something and to express that, some people on this site seem to have a big problem with freedom of speech.

I couldn't care less about their tastes. Discriminatory speech is still discriminatory speech, doesn't have to be cartoony like "all bisexuals must die", going around saying a manga is shit because it features bissexual characters (something this user did many times already) or calling bisexuality "toxic" is already enough. It's very well within the rights of a community (especially a community dedicated mostly to lesbian fiction) to disallow discrimination based on sexual orientation. You can still express unlikable opinions without crossing that line.

A transparent system of clear rules, warnings and bans is not censorship.

Interesting. It's the first cis lesbian of this story. Now, that's someone I can identify with.

She ought to be the MC.

Implying Mogu isnt queer

How so? Didn't they say "cis"?

I really want to ask, has anyone here ever bumped into someone and accidently touched lips in a way that remotely feels like a kiss? Because that trope annoys me, it feels completely out of place outside of wacky comedy manga.

I think the only "accidental kiss" I've ever had happened when I was about to do the kiss on the cheek greeting thing in a hurry and the other person turned her face the wrong way, so we ended up brushing our lips. But it was so quick that we just pretended it didn't happen. That's something I've never seen in a story but I think it's a reasonable scenario (not in Japan, of course) that could work between two nervous characters.

To be honest those people are like that regardless if there's a manga about it or not. I can say most of us don't take manga for a new reality, the one who do are already mentally sick in the first place and are looking for an excuse to hate.
I think the general argument was that Kodama spreads biphobic, but honestly I doubt a manga can change a person mind so drastically. They already have preconceived notions about it.
That or they don't like any guys in manga like 4chan purity fags. They want their waifu to be Virgin Mary in order to be a golden lesbian.

I sort of agree. Even though her extensive use of that trope doesn't help, we can't put all that biphobia on Kodama Naoko's account. I also believe most of that comes from guys who read yuri and fantasize about girls' purity. That CozyCreature guy who made a scene at the beginning of this comment section is a prime example of that, he always complains at the slightest sign of bissexuality in a character. It sucks because I like being here because, among many things, it's a place of lgbt acceptance.

This made the drama from the chapter before a lot more lighthearted. I liked it.

Also, what she said about drawing and practice really touched me. Observe your environment, you can learn from the most boring of situations, you're drawing living things. I can read the love for drawing in those words. :')

Lol, I was about to criticize that dialogue, but seeing that someone liked it ended up changing my mind (guess it works, then).

Also the fact that the trans girl looks like a guy and seems totally dumb is super annoying.

Why? Does every trans character have to fit the "boy prettier than a girl" archetype? This is a reasonable scenario, she not being on hormone therapy and developing male characteristics due to puberty. Trans acceptance shouldn't be reserved to those who "pass".

also, no work of fiction is automatically less interesting for defending a cause. Sure, if it's designed to be didactic and only that, it can lead to something boring or downright condescending. But if you jump to that conclusion just because of the trans thematics, the problem is on you.

Not saying this manga is great literature (I can only put Kabi Nagata here) but it has something going for it.

Love the [[not yaoi]] tag.

But seriously they look like dudes ngl

really? they just have eyelashes that are a bit de-emphasized. But the way their bodies are drawn leaves no ambiguity

Not really a good short comic, I think. Conversation was kinda weird and the main character's remarks weren't very interesting... I'd say the art is bad but I set the bar really low when it comes to online mini-comics, so I guess it's an "ok".

I'm thankful for the translators' work, nonetheless. Sometimes we end up getting some hidden gems.

I’m waiting for it to go full circle and they both “crossdress” as girls as practice to overcome their fear.

Brilliant. If it doesn't turn out like this I'll make that story myself
