Out of all the things to talk about while getting sexy with a woman, why the fuck ants? I have a phobia of bugs, so it pretty much killed any enjoyment I'd get from reading what little moments it had of kinkiness. At least they didn't do the whole "We're melting together" or "An indirect kiss!" or "My mind's going blank" shtick. I don't mind those lines at all, but I swear to god there should be a Yuri bingo filled with all the repeated lines mangakas use for these sort of things. But ants? Fucking ants? That's what's getting you in the mood? No thanks...

Just because something elicits an emotion doesn't mean it's well written. The character acts like she is from space and only vaguely familiar with human emotion and the message this sends is reprehensible. And this won an award in 2011. Thanks for reminding me of this piece of shit, now I have to clean the palate with something.

It might have won an award simply because of the emotion it fills people with. That's no easy task
It takes something pretty powerful to make me get invested in a story

It's also relatable to a lot of people
I'd also say the slow burn was handled quite well for a huge pay off

It's a different feeling compared to a fluff story

It's weird how both of them seem to love each other
except Mao is totally not interested in Itsuki sexually

It's so tragic really

Mao wants to continue their relationship the way it is
Itsuki wants to progress it even further

Mao commits to staying single for Itsuki, but can't resist having sex with men. Ultimately choosing to be selfish
Itsuki wants to give up on Mao, but remains a slave to her desire. Ultimately choosing to not give up

They suit each other perfectly, yet they are terrible together

The problem with manga like these, is it could get sidetracked, stuck with the ambiguous relationship, and pull an ending out of the author ass when it faces cancellation.

I'm looking at you, Stretch.

Like Tsukasa character, but considering the development so far. Expect angst followed by filler, followed by angst

This story could have skipped to the future
There would be no question about how everyone ended up

The author wanted to do too much
But even with so many pages, the most significant development came from the last volume

Rushed and underwhelming, feels like there is a chapter missing between 29 and 30. Amane's feelings are never justified, she seems way too damn flaky to even consider to have serious romantic interest in anyone. It seems she will take any girl that gives her a suggestive look, spells problems for them in the future. Nina all the sudden falling for Ryou is jarring, it never establishes whether or not Ryou even likes Nina romantically.

I can appreciate Canno attempting to represent a polyamory trio but this arc was just a mess.

Also, as stable and equal a triangle they're in right now, does Amane still consider herself as being open to new relationships? If so, would the other two be fine with that? I can see Ryou being okay, since she was more accepting than anyone of Amane's ideas and personality, but Nina struggled a lot more, and I sort of feel like she was only able to accept Amane being with Ryou because she also wanted to be with Ryou and Amane. It's kind of a unique circumstance for her. Unless Amane has changed her mind after learning how much Nina has been hurting, and now wants to be exclusive to Nina and Ryou. But that sort of contradicts her philosophy of love as being free and multifaceted. I guess it's fine for her to change, but I feel increasingly unsatisfied not knowing one way or the other.

Yeah, these three are definitely going to need some follow up chapters.

Amane falls in love with others easily, will she stop with these two?
When did Nina suddenly fall in love with Ryou? and why didn't she just tell Amane, since she was okay with it?
How does Ryou feel about Nina? did Ryou even agree to date both of them?

If nothing else. We need a definitive chapter to wrap up all loose ends

I did predict the ending in advance, I could tell Ayane was into so into her

Seems like most people are siding with either Misaki or Nagisa
I think both of them screwed up

Misaki was a bad judge of character
Nagisa was too jealous
Like they were probably doomed anyway for real, Ayane didn't even need to do anything

Maybe if Misaki had listened, or Nagisa had stayed, they could have worked it out
But Misaki had her career ruined, and Nagisa gave up on their relationship. Just hope Ayane is found out if there is a sequel

...now compared to everyone I sympathize with Misaki more
She just lost her dream job, her girlfriend didn't trust her, and her best friend is nuts

Nagisa probably shouldn't have dated an idol in the first place. With fame comes drama, and it's public knowledge

At this point, I'm sure Yuu (or at least her guts) deep down already knows she's in love with Touko. She's not even denying wanting to touch her anymore. Ever since chap 16 make-out session, this is Yuu's development over the chaps so far:

17: Becomes conscious around Touko because she remembers the kiss. (Possibly wants to kiss her again. Girl seems to be swallowing her saliva after staring at Touko's lips, but I could be wrong)
18: Can't even call her by her first name anymore. Thinking about how unfair Touko is in her head. Actually doesn't want Touko to stop her advances. Knows what she wants to wish for, but not sure about saying it out loud (her feelings and desire for Touko is prohibited after all if she wants to stay by her side)
19: Misses Touko over summer break and really wants to call her. Complains about Touko for not being considerate of her feelings to her friend. Buys cute PJs for summer camp sleepover (obviously for Touko, considering how she once said in one of vol 3's bonus chapter that she doesn't care about looking cute before). Very, VERY happily talks to Touko on the phone. So much so, she curls into a ball in bed while hugging her pillow tightly. Admits she feels flustered talking to Touko.
20: Tries to strip fast and goes to the bath first while trying really hard to convince herself that them seeing each other naked is nothing at all (yes, this is more of her denial attack, but hey, it's still something. Girl just learns to feel feels. Give her time before she starts feeling horny). Consciously wants to touch Touko at night, but can't because Sayaka's there.

Quite a nice analysis here

and I get the feeling Yuu is set for heartbreak

The beginning is funny, but quite sad
She just gets married and leaves out of the blue

I hope there is another sequel, cause I can't be satisfied with a no conclusion

for some reason I had a slight feeling that Yuzu wasn't completely innocent

This one is much more hopeful, but the story doesn't feel complete still
Here's hoping for a third part

For a second I thought one or both of them was going to die
The aaangst was quite small this time around

I'm willing to bet that maybe this relationship dynamic will end with a all of them together

The story has a nice vibe, can't imagine Amane getting rejected again

"Long hair" starts a relationship with "Short hair" after noticing "Ponytail's" affection. More than likely "Pony tail" knew this would happen

"Long hair" is upset that "Short hair" is still dating "Secret".
