So I just picked up Crow's Blood to watch, it's actually rather nice as a J-horror drama; although, I'm not an entirely huge fan of the direction it's going and the needless male co-protagonist/love interest annoys me a little. Still, it's pretty decent and quite engrossing to watch ^ - ^

Also, Miyawaki Sakura (who plays the antagonist/protagonist, Maki) looks a lot different now compared to 4 years ago when I left the 48 fandom, she's become a lot prettier o //// o

Judging by Miki's (sucks she's no longer with us :[ ) and Rina's posts, seems like those situations are pretty common.

Still, just a small update, my break is going well so far lol; watching a few J-dramas (so much better than Ks), grinding to lvl 65 on TERA to get my girlfriend an in-game dress for her character and following up on some anime (re-watching Hidan no Aria AA now). Really helps to forget about everything that has transpired over these past few months ^ _ ^ though...I don't think I'll be looking forward to this break ending like previous times since the attachment program will probably be hell...

and since I'll likely have to start work next year...probably won't have time to come onto the thread unless on weekends for a while ^ ^" but that's entirely for next year anyways

Anyone have things that they really can't stand seeing popping up everywhere but yet can't avoid it? it's starting to irk me how many times I see things that I have absolutely no desire to see at all; ie, the random SU posts that keep appearing on my dashboard (without bloody tags no less) and the 1000 and nth Re:zero fanart that pops out almost every single day on /r/anime...

And also, the amount of ppl whining about new TERA classes being gender and/or race locked is starting to get on my nerves; more so especially when everyone seems to have an irrational hatred for the Elins, which are actually rather cute to play as....

@Galich Thanks ^ o ^ and oh, that doesn't sound nice at all > o < kinda the same here tbh, same-gender relationship are considered a crime here, or at least, for guy x guy relationships, but I think things are slowly starting to change though, it's getting better.

And on another positive note, I got to sit relatively next to the girl I mentioned today ^ o ^ well, it was because her friends were sitting on the first 2 seats of the row and there was a empty chair between us...still, it was nice to be on cordial terms with her, even if we are not friends. The time that I knew her was definitely quite enjoyable though, to say the least; I mean, we never really talked much but at least we were on the same team and I managed to know more about her than before, plus there's just something about her that makes being around her more pleasant than others.

Hopefully things will go well for everyone in the group ^ - ^ (saying this always reminds me the ending of Girl Friends for some reason)

@Galich - Ignore the person that says it's a "fad", some people are too narrow minded. It's unfortunate how humanity has progressed though considering the greeks and other older civilizations are accepting of gay people and transgenders; even feudal Japan had stories of gay relationships in the samurai caste system.

Question: What was the thing that got you guys into Yuri?

My first yuri manga was Gokujou Drops, then I found Girl Friends and got into reading some of Morinaga Milk's other works like Mare; the Sono Hanabira OVA was released around this time I think, but I never really managed to find the games until 3 years ago.

Strangely, or maybe not, it was reading/watching yuri that made me realize that I am into girls (lol); as in, I find romance between girls to be a lot more pure and exciting in a way. It was also the Sono Hanabira games that allowed me to find my partner ^ o ^

Always did liked Rider's ideology of being a king; feels less pretenious and more genuine/natural in a way.

Also on another note, I just realized how nowadays whenever I'm buying things I'm almost always thinking of what my girlfriend would feel about it as compared to my own wants; ie, I was going to buy some LL Sunshine files yesterday and keychain of Mumei from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, but since my partner dislikes both of them I ended up buying a Solfina (Ange Vierge) keychain and a tiny devil Miku charm instead. It's rather odd lol - I mean, we're not physically together yet but I feel the compulsion to but her wishes first before mine when buying things for some reason.

Edit: I actually prefered the Gil from Fate/extra CCC tbh, you get to see him as less of a villian and more like just a jerk but he does slowly warm up to the main protagonist over the game; though, to be fair, he did state that he prefered the civilization in the universe that the F/extra (CCC) games were set in more than the one in F/sn or F/0. Also, choosing Gil in CCC is basically entering hax mode since his stats are ridiculously higher compared to Nero Saber, Tamamo and Archer, and Enuma Elish basically one-shots everything once it's available for use

Unlike most people I prefer dubs in general (though I really didn't mind the subbed version of Rebellion) but the dub of Rebellion was fantastic. The out of reality scene near the end where Homura's talking to Kyuubey is exceptional compared to the subbed version and comes off as legitimately creepy in my opinion. And I'm not someone who's at all easy to creep out.

This might be of relevant interest to you, it's the 1st take cut of the final act. I find that the dub version was more in vein with this version than the final film version.

On a lighter note to everyone: It seems like everyone likes PMMM. What are your feelings on the Movie (Rebellion)?

I liked Rebellion a lot more than the main series, actually, I would've hated PMMM if it wasn't for the ending of Rebellion, considering the ending barely solved anything and left Homura as the only magical girl that didn't get her wish granted; plus the entire Madoka sacrificing herself without caring for what would happen to Homura thing really irked me. Honestly speaking, I consider Akuma Homura to be the true celestial being for yuri as she epitomizes what love is in my opinion; more passionate than hope, much deeper than despair, selfish but at the same time selfless.

Everything that Homura did, has always been for Madoka, even her actions in Rebellion were to give Madoka a 2nd chance at living again and fufilling her promise to the Madoka of the timeline that started all this: to stop her from becoming a Magical Girl. Doing everything for the person you love, going against the laws of the universe to make them happy, taking in all the evil of the world on yourself to protect their innocence; I don't think there's any representation of love greater than what Homura has done for Madoka.

edit: if they're ever going to continue the storyline after Rebellion, I'm not going to bother watching it if it means undoing the already perfect world that Homura has created

edit2: I actually prefered the english dub of Rebellion to the original, I found that the overal execution of the final act of the film was delivered better in the dub.

Finally getting a break now...downside I've to start my attachment program on 14th Sept until Dec T ^ T aw well, its good experience I guess...and the pay means more money for AFA16 ^ O ^ In the meantime, TERA is serving to be a great time-filler lol...although the only canon yuri pair in the story so far gets a bad end in the storyline > o <

Going to miss being able to see everyone in my class...but, at least I'll get to see them 1 last time next year before graduation ^ - ^

I think it's safe to say at this point that Ange Vierge has gone beyond just subtext as the entire final act of this week's ep was essentially a confession scene between Solfina and Almaria, with some yandere goodness added in as well, and the anime is already hinting a pairing between Elel and Ramiel while also confirming Carene x Xenia as a pairing in the latest ep.

Don't know, but I never really had a steady sleeping schedule. And lately it's especially messed up.

I've not had a close semblance to a sleeping schedule for 2 years now ^ ^* the woes of having a long distance relationship and timezones issues.

Then again, I personally prefer doing things at night anyways...nearly all of the stuff I've did for projects this year have been overnight and on the day before the deadline ^ ^* Other stuff include viewing some anime raw before the subbed versions arrive, and possibly writing my weekly coverage on my tumblr blog if I feel like posting about it pre-subs.
