So well, I stopped reading at chapter 10 or so, but I remember at chapter 3 there was a hint that Harumin might have feelings for Yuzu, or at least that's what Matsuri thought? But then a ton of chapters about Mei's birthday came and nothing was ever brought up again by Saburo uta like they completely forgot about it. So has there been any other development regarding that matter? I don't mind being spoiled, in fact that's exactly what I want so any kind soul mind helping me out?

the line between lolicon and pedo might as well be invisible

rather inexistant

Oh, so you're the type that want to be spoonfed the motivations, background and story of the characters right off the bat.

I feel it's like when there was silence in some Japanese anime movie, just the wind blowing over some field, the American dubbers added some random background dialogue, because the American audience is mostly incapable of understanding what's NOT said.

I don't know why you're getting personal but ok. I'm not even american btw. And no, that's exactly what I said I didn't wanted, everything right off the bat, and that's exactly what this manga is doing with every aspect except its characters and that's why it all feels so senseless.

This manga feels like it has potential but at the same time feels so empty/rushed, with a lot of ideas but none of them actually developed or executed right, I don't know man

Well it's passed 100 chapters and going, so it's developing it's story with some purpose. What ideas feel undeveloped so far? I feel like their dynamic is pretty clear, there's a lot not said but what's not said seems intentional so far.

what?? this is over 100 chapters long?? and then you have a lot of great mangas with great premises axed in the 4th volume and even before smh
and btw if you're saying this is over a 100 chapters and I read before is kind of like a slow burn type of thing, I would say every idea is underdeveloped, first off, why does glasses girl care for short hair girl? (and the other way around too) they don't even know each other at all, it's only been 4 chapters, and even if you say several weeks or month have been portrayed then it's only even more rushed.
the world feels empty, like there's no other people appart from the 2 main girls, and there's nothing else than playing in that band they are. why is she with that guy, be it just to fool around or whatever, is weird too; even if you say there's no feelings involved at all, there's still gotta be something funny or thrilling about it for them; it looks like their lips are just touching and that's all lol
why is she being harassed (verbally) by the director (or was harassed, i don't know if that's supossed to be a flashback or not), wasn't she the first trumpet, like the best and chosen by the director himself? he just decided to hate her on a whim? why is she first trumpet too, we didn't even see why she won and glasses lost
there's a lot of ideas that are underdeveloped, but that's because of how rushed it is, like all of the things I talked about before have been introduced in only 4 chapters, yet none of them seem to be the main point of the story, i mean where's the focus. I just wish the author would take more time in developing their characters, that are awfully bland and empty and I can't help to not give a shit about them or any of their relationships, and then introduct the plot points
I hope this does not come across as a rant or anything, it's just the feeling I get from reading till now, I even said there's potential but, well

A little bit all over the place and the appearance of Hiroko's old crush was forced af, it would have been more understandable if Hiroko contacted her or something, but ok

I've had these times where I didn't wanted to eat too girl, depression does that, this story hits a little close to home even if it's not supposed to be about depression

On a side note this story is great too, murasakino really knows how to craft a subtle story

I’m sorry we’re misunderstanding each other. Your argument was that “Koga doesn't value Aya in the same way, and I don't mean like she's in love or not, just does not care enough about her.”

That’s what I’m arguing against—romantic or not, their relationship is not (yet) of a nature where Koga’s failure to tell Aya about the offer to move says anything at all about how much Koga “cares” about or “values” Aya. Certainly they have different attitudes about the subject—one has to make a decision and the other one fears being left behind.

Your original statement (the one I just quoted) absolutely implies that Aya cares more for Koga than Koga does for Aya, an idea that the entire chapter contradicts.

Okay, we can agree to disagree, I think the chapter shows it, that's just how I felt while reading, not making a post-reading analysis, you think it does not. That's it then, debate settled

I mean, Koga knows whatever her name is came to take her to the U.S, and knows that Aya is suspicious of it and you can see she didn't tell her anything about it, like it's not her business or she will not be affected by her leaving, that's what I mean. It's not about what's being implicitly told, it's about the facts and you can see she didn't tell her about her "aunt" intentions

That's just you projecting into the story. In a very real way the aunt's offer is not Aya's business, at least not yet. If and when Koga makes a decision about going or staying would be the appropriate time to tell Aya.

That's a major point of the chapter. These two are not an official couple, and Aya is hinting around about what it might be like if they were an actual couple--hence the "buying a fridge" hypothetical. You seem to be going out of your way to put Koga in the wrong here and ignoring the actual (very ambiguous and unstated) nature of their current relationship.

You're taking this in a whole different direction than my first statement, I never talked about couples, romantic relationships or mutual feelings, in fact I don't care about that at all, all I care is about what each of them believes the other deserves to know in their ACTUAL relationship, that being friendship. Aya is trying to extract the information that Koga either thinks is none of her business or intentionally does not want to let her know. So you can see how they feel different about the same thing, Aya wants to know and even knows Koga does not want to tell her (that's why she tries to extract the info like that) and Koga avoids talking about the matter, even though she knows Aya is talking about THAT, by playing along with the fridge metaphor.
So no, I'm not projecting, you're projecting your romantic stuff into what I said previously.

Oof this chapter broke my heart, mainly because I've been in this kind of relationship lately, where I care about the other but it's not the same the other way around and this is exactly how it feels with these two, like Koga doesn't value Aya in the same way, and I don't mean like she's in love or not, just does not care enough about her

I really do not understand how this chapter can be read as Koga not valuing Aya, or as showing that Aya cares more about Koga than vice-versa.

  • These two don’t usually talk so as to spell out their feelings explicitly; everything is implicit or suggested by their actions.

  • They understand that what happened in the Joe-Kanna relationship is a possible model for what might happen with them.

So this time Aya voices her anxiety about Koga suddenly leaving (but protects herself by pretending to take it back with the “just kidding”).

Seeing that Aya is actually worried, Koga then reaches out and takes her hand by the pinky (in one of the few obviously intentional “tactile moments” in the series—IOW, not something that can be mistaken as an accident or as “neutral” touching).

I thought the chapter was pretty clear: Aya is more verbal than Koga, but they’re both on the same page about being connected to each other.

Some things I want to say:
1. I think the netorare tag would fit the story, because while at the end of the story we learn they're not going out, you or at least I (and the MC too) think so throughout the whole story, and for me I was reading netorare all the time and the dynamic was really good (we need more Yuri ntr)
2. People saying this is disgusting and not to justify rape with a romantic outcome or something, umm.. this is hentai. It doesn't mean it's okay, but it's basically porn, just drawn. Don't ever get into nhentai or e-hentai or similar places because my life, you'll get a heart attack. Plus it's in the tags, it's literally right there it says "rape" yet you clicked all the same, I don't get it, don't read it man, no one's forcing you to

A little bit over the top to say a 15/16 y/o girl slept with a bunch of other girls but alright

Can tell you weren't a teen in the 70s.

I think the story is not set in the 70s, right?
