I think you were a bit confused, though. The two connected stories to this one are compiled in Candy Drop tankoubon, titled Chuu ni uita mama no Kimochi/Kokoro, featuring the girl with hair ribbon and Rui, first published in Karaikuten XTC vol 6 and X-EROS #43, respectively. The one you described is the single story named Candy Drop, first published in Karaikuten XTC vol 5, also compiled in the same tankoubon, and not related to this series.
Anyway, all these 3 porn works are het, which means not welcomed to be discussed on dynasty here, so let's stop.

Thats actually really annoying to learn. As a oneshot you could interpret this all sorts of ways and even if the sex in the middle's a bit unnecessary at least you could read something potentially hopeful and maybe even cute in the end, or at least find the main character's struggles interesting. With the context it just comes across as some needless angst about a girl who unfortunately has feelings for someone who'd rather have sex with a prepubescent boy than consider a same-sex relationship. Yikes.

Well, Hamao's main product is porn, plot is not their forte, not that it would be the emphasis in porn. This one is a rare Hamao story where the drama is slightly heavier than their usual porn. It's also part of a series of porn stories featuring the girls seen on the cover page (Chuu ni uita mama no Kotoba/Kokoro/Kimochi)(yuri/het/het, respectively), though so far the girl with glasses has not yet appeared in her own story, but it's only a matter of time, I think.

My attempt at explaining: the middleschooler MC, Rui, has been developing romantic attraction for Reina, ever since Reina transfered to her class in elementary school. But Rui has yet come to term with the posibility of dating someone of the same sex (she's still very young), so she has been stewing the confusion in her head, and the occasional confessions Rui received from girls get rejected due to that confusion, too. One day Reina start dating a boy, thus Rui is sad and goes to sensei, whom Rui knows to be lesbian, for counseling. They have sex and talk, Rui comes to term with her sexual orientation and that she wants to be with Reina.

The next day, the girl, whose confession got rejected by Rui previously, makes another attempt. Rui ponders giving her a chance, though she looks at Reina and says "just kidding". What this means is up to the readers' own interpretation.

Kaoruko is pretty brilliant, but a bit too lazy to stick her neck out for conflicts or to be truly ambitious even though she's slightly manipulative, where else for her but Ravenclaw?
Hard work and loyalty, Junna are Banana are Hufflepuffs, for sure. Futaba, too, and same goes for Mahiru.
Just as Claudine's fiery will to fairly overtake Maya, Karen's recklessness would deposit her firmly in Griffindor.
And of course, their ambition and strive to be the top star would make Hikari and Maya fine members of Slytherin.

Speaking from a bit of experience, when you are up close, e.g. kissing, the field of view is very limited, blocked by the other's face, so you would have to rely on the sense of touch and sense of self-movement and body position (scientific name: proprioception) for whatever you do with your hands (and other parts) anyway, so the foggy glasses won't matter. Not to mention after a bit the glasses itself will warm up enough, so the fog won't form there anymore. Glasses can still hinder eyesight due to the sweat and other bodily fluids they come into contact with, though, plus the risk of having them poking where it's not needed.

Also, since the visual data take up a lot of processing power of the brain (avg ~70% daily incoming data), if you cut it off by closing the eyes, you would be able to savour more of the data from other senses and body parts, iykwim, hence the tendency to close/roll-up the eyes during kissing and other stuffs.

What I'm saying is that taking off the glasses or not won't really affect the intimate physical processes. The only downside of taking them off, aside from aesthetics, is that if your eyesight is really bad without them, you won't be able to fully appreciate the view during the intermittent pulling backs for breath.
