Also, I get that it's not really obvious in the picture, but Kiyohime is the resident yandere of Fate/GO.

Phew, Yuja's work finally reaches here!

She really deserves more recognition for drawing easily the highest number of Fate/GO Yuri.

Then again, the latest update nuked my completely legitimate non-rooted android phone as collateral damage and I haven't been able to login because of an error -1. R.I.P Fate/GO, the day you got here was the day I got swiftly booted out.

This ship always have that drama tag.. cries

That and comedy seem to be common for these two.

There was that one ecchi work from Tanaka Shou--oh, right. That one doesn't count. None of their work does. :)

I don't recall in Golden, but P4AU is just he and him all the time.
Hamuko will never get a sequel that connects to her world.
Also, my understanding in Megaten is that all these worlds happen and are canon but we don't always see how then continue.

If I recall correctly, I think the whole multiverse concept in MegaTen is called the Amala Network. Yeah, I know her story's over. I just thought it'd be nice if she was canon in the mainline Persona series too instead of being relegated to an alternate universe that we'll never see again.

In the english version, they omit the love line and instead recycle the exact script of “I will always be by your side“ they used just like two lines before.

Ah well, I'll never get used to stuff like that happening.

Did they do the same thing in Persona 4 Golden? I saw that Atlus actually changed Margaret's line when referring to the protagonist of Persona 3 from shonen (young man) to the more gender neutral kyakujin (guest). This most likely means that they consider FeMC to be canon in the mainline series too if I'm not mistaken since they specifically changed just that one word. This is in the Japanese version though, did they do that in the western release?

Okay, so recently I found out that some people actually perceive Aigis' Social Link for the Female Protagonist in Persona 3 Portable to be platonic. Er, is that actually a thing now? I mean of course Aigis wishes to be a guy because she thinks guys can get closer to girls in a purely platonic way, right? I think that even with anti-yuri goggles on I can't deny the might-as-well-be-text "subtext" in that route.

This is definitely canon and sorely underappreciated. I don't understand how people see the social link as platonic. Surely Aigis wishes to be a guy specifically because guys can get closer to girls better in a purely platonic way, right? -_-

No problem! It's also worthwhile to check up on their pixiv from time to time, since they update it fairly regularly. Just recently they made another yuri Fate/GO art involving Gudako and Jalter.

Guys, just look up Yuja on Pixiv, they create a lot of Fate/Go yuri. It's pretty great.

I just want to leave the puns on a relatively high note. :(

The quality of the puns just seems to be dropping really fast. (not that they were high to begin with, but still)

Okay, this kinda went past ridiculous a long time ago. I thought muteKi was pretty effective in killing off the puns with the foot comment but apparently not. Please let it go guys. It's dead.

According to the forums over at steam, JAST got the rights to the Katahane remake and will be doing the translation soon™.

How did the puns come to this? I didn't know it would spread so quickly. That's it, I'm keeping my hands off this one. I'm out.

...Handholding is such a lewd thing it deserves its own tag! NSFW just doesn't begin to describe the lewdity of such an act, so I propose a new handholding tag!

I suggest Lots of handholding, along with Moderate amounts of handholding.

Heaven forbid we need the Insane Amounts of handholding tag.

What have we devolved into? There's only so much handholding a person can take. This is getting out of hand.

Playing Tales of Xillia now, hopefully it's better.

Tales of Xillia is pretty good. The 2nd one not so much...

Gameplay-wise I agree with you. But story-wise I got more emotionally invested in Xillia-2. It probably helped that I have an emotional weak spot for kids and that I found 2nd Milla to be SO much better since she felt more flawed and thus more human; she was also able to display a wider range of emotions than the 1st Milla. I also liked how they handled Ludger and Elle's reaction with Old Milla coming back. They're supposed to reflect a new player's reaction to Old Milla too; that she's a complete stranger in the body of their friend. It also helped that I definitely didn't like the two protagonists of the first game, especially Jude; his classic naive, boy scout act was annoying for me from the get-go. Plus, Jude's obsession with Milla kind of creeped me out. He literally didn't have any other motivation for the majority of the game besides being her gofer, and the game even calls him out on that; so I don't know if that counts as romance. Even a silent protagonist like Ludger was much better since you get to make him say some pretty wacky and hilarious stuff. If you don't care much for any of that and just focus on the overall gameplay experience, then Tales of Xillia is superior. For what it's worth though, I'd say that Tales of Xillia 2 was much more memorable for me.

and yeah...the spinel ending...why is that a thing?

Again, if it's any consolation, All of the Cross in the game are treated as siblings anyways. Pariet uses "Onee-chan", Spinel uses "Ne-sama", Kagerou uses "Aneki", and Dyth uses "Ne-san" to address the female character. To be honest, what bothers me more is the Cyda ending since it makes it seem like they knew you were going down that route expecting some yuri and they just decided to shoot you down while calling you out; and of course on the male side of things he gets to have a relationship with her. :/

Anyone played Summon night 5? I got it when it came out but haven't really done much. Apparently there's yuri in at least one of the endings. I think I'll restart my run and beat like a chapter per day or something like that.

There's definitely ONE legitimate yuri route in that game. However note that other routes can be a tad bit frustrating on the yuri end. If you don't mind me giving the general idea of what the routes will be like as a precaution, here they are:

  1. Straightforward Yuri Route: Ruelly
Not gonna need to spoil anything about this route since it's yuri, plain and simple. Only route that might be worth it.

  2. Subtext Route: Yeng-hua
Not much to be said; except for the annoying fact that the ending for the male protagonist has more subtext than the female one. I mean, it's already subtext to begin with, why give one character more subtext than the other?

  3. Nope Route: Cyda
Okay, so this has to be spoiled to detail why it's pretty bad. The end of the route basically includes Cyda saying "Why are you hanging out with me so much instead of the guys? Are you gay?" In which the female protagonist will say "What?! Oh no, I just want to be really good friends with you!" Yeah, stay away from this one if you want yuri.

  4. Nope (2) Route: Spinel
This is just second hand information so I can't confirm it myself since I don't want to go through this one, but basically Spinel confesses to the female protagonist at the end and she rejects her. For some reason though, the male protagonist won't reject her, so I assume they get to start a relationship. She's basically a sister figure anyway, so I personally don't see a big loss here.

This is all I know of. There's one more female character, but considering how the Nope (2) Route went I'm not holding my breath. Hope this helps!

If you know about the fate series you can see that strong yuri subtext is their thing, but they never make it go further than that, a pity in my opinion, but hey, i'll take whatever I can get lol

I was hoping that they'd take it down the Fate/Extra route, where it doesn't matter what gender the protagonist was since both playable female servants were bisexual. Heck, they took a small step further than that and made Saber a bisexual character who preferred women. He's sinking a pretty notable ship, just saying. I've seen more fanart of Gudako and Mashu vs with someone like Gudao. And from what I've seen so far, Gudao seems to be much less popular than Gudako, even less so than how male Hakuno was less popular than female Hakuno. Oh well. :/

Speaking of which, I'd just like to know: Has Nasu ever written a homosexual character before? To be honest I'm not a fan of his works so I don't really follow him, but from what I've experienced in some of his works I have encountered a lot of bisexual characters but never have I seen a homosexual one. I mean, Fate in tvtropes is listed under the "Everyone is Bi" trope.

Alright folks who actually play Fate/Grand Order, I need to have an important yuri related question about the game answered. Is the entry on tvtropes that said "Nasu confirmed that Mashu will develop a crush on the Male Protagonist only and not on the Female Protagonist during the course of the story" true?!

Man, I feel bad for Shio-chan, she seems to attract somewhat unhinged people that obsess over her. She's gonna have a hard time growing up.

Not cool, Do'. Not cool at all. On the other hand, Ice is too nice a girl. I hope she finds her happiness too.

This sums up what I felt with this chapter as well. Even after the fact that I do see where Donut is coming from, or that it's a breaking point for her, or that she saw Mew kissing someone else, or that she realized that it was a terrible thing to do -- that was still way too impulsive for her to do in my opinion and I just couldn't find it in me to let go of what she did. If Ice was a much less thoughtful person than she is now that could've ended really badly. I guess I'm just not comfortable seeing people so easily disregard others' feelings like that; I mean she just confessed and Donut used that as an opportunity to take out her confusion/anger on her. Sigh. Not cool. Not cool at all. With Ice seeming to be such a nice and thoughtful character, I really can't help but think that she deserves much better than this. :(

Um, and people, please don't be mad/upset that someone didn't like this chapter. It's definitely not like I enjoy hating things. I really do wish I could be fine with this like you guys are, but I'm not.

This is some really low-impact drama

It's funny 'cause this actually affected me more than anything i've read around here recently

Yeah, the same goes for me, though I don't really know why. I've seen my fair share of oblivious characters in yuri manga before, but this one specifically hit me pretty hard.

I really should get used to it, but it still stings whenever I see people in these stories say that they "weren't in the right mind" or some variation of that to express that it was a wrong idea to enter a same-sex relationship. I can't help it that it was the one thing that stuck with me the most. :(

As for the whole love-triangle thing, I personally didn't find it generic since it doesn't seem like it's being done in a generic way; the relationship between these characters involved is fairly unique after all. Still a good read, though I was surprised seeing this still being continued here considering it's been licensed.

Er, I'd also like to add that it's pretty disturbing for me that someone still makes comments like Unagi-san did or have a mindset like they do. Even if it's trolling or a joke, it's still not appropriate (to say the least), and just the idea that they thought they'd find someone here that would relate or sympathize with them is...disconcerting.
