Do you mean that the step-mother/daughter role play was all of a sudden? Because the first thing she says is "step-mother" so I assume she already knew they were role playing? The face she makes seems kinda foreshadowing, but then again, that first phrase... Or maybe I'm reading your comment wrong. Sorry if its the latter.

Well it's just my opinion. My thinking is that even though they are already into the role play, that comment would still strike her. Especially since she was already focused on the role play being less than the reality. I also think the pause is a bit long otherwise, and that her face matches that idea. But even if I'm right, Amano-sensei surely didn't intend anyone to pick up on it.

Of course I glanced through it before deciding to work on it, so I already knew about the role play. But I missed the final twist until I actually focused on the last page to translate it. So I was just as surprised as most of us. At first I didn't believe my own translation.

The fist plot twist is signaled by the blond dropping out of character on page 3, then kissing the black haired girl to distract her.

But the only foreshadowing of the second plot twist is the stare the black haired girl gives on page 2 after being told "Though it's only by marriage, we're still mother and daughter..." And nobody will pick up on that hint unless they already know.

How was that a comdey?

It makes me laugh in several place; isn't that a comedy? If most people think it isn't I could change my mind.

Sometimes I get the feeling that I'm the only one reading this? Anyways, I'm really glad to see chapters come out. It's one thing to read a summary and another to read the chapter.

Occasionally, these chapters will show up under most popular of the last 7 days with 6000 or 7000 views, so I know you're not the only one reading it, but it doesn't get very many comments. It'd be nice if there were more comments on the story itself. I like reading what people think of the story.

Myself, I like most of Hakamada Mera's work. I guess that's obvious; otherwise I wouldn't be doing this series in the first place.

I have that book, so I checked; not only is there no side B, every story in the book was written especially for that book. I'd guess Morishima is thinking of the original story as side B, since it picks up exactly where side A leaves off. But you never know; maybe she'll write one someday. I'd sure like to see it.

I'll say again, Fly by Yuri started with chapter 25 because the first two volumes had already been released in English by Seven Seas. Now that Seven Seas has made clear it no longer holds the English license (and the books are relatively hard to come by), I'm going back to do the first two volumes as well, but I'm also continuing with volume 3. Since the first two have already been published in English, they are not my priority. Never the less, I'll probably be releasing chapter 2 shortly, but chapter 32 is coming first.

For those waiting for the earlier chapters. I am planning on devoting more time to them than I have been, so chapters from volumes 1 and 2 will probably start coming out fairly regularly now.

Thought I'd point something out. Following the links I got to a page offering links to FLASH Wings at Yahoo Store and at NikoNikoSeiga. At Yahoo Store, http://bookstore.yahoo.co.jp/free_magazine-154442/, I readily found The Princess's Mirror and The Princess's Lie and was able to read them.

However, they will only be up from 9/28 to 10/27, so if anyone wants to see them, you'd better look at them soon. Of course I don't know what the posting period of the other two current chapters will be. Or when or how long new chapters will be posted. But this gives me more solid hope that new chapter will indeed be coming out.

Printed media is on its death throes so I think small/niche publications need to fully embrace the digital era to survive.

I will keep buying printed media, in preference to digital, in both Japanese and English as long as it's available. I don't even have an e-reader. (Though I suppose I'll eventually end up getting one.)

This one was actually among her earliest works. This was just the fifth time she had anything in Yuri Hime (in 2010). Her art has improved considerably since then, not that she wasn't good then. And I think her story telling has been wonderful from the start.

Let me get this right, you people want less yuri?

Look out, here comes another Takemiya Jin story, give me 30 minutes or so. It's one of her earlier ones, so it's relatively light compared to most of her more recent stories. But definitely heavier than Delicious Time was.

silly question, but have you ever posted your ideas online to a site like DH? if you are worried about depth, then getting feedback and criticism is the best way to help you fill in the areas of your stories that are lacking.

I haven't, and it's all in my head at the moment. I guess some time soon I'll sit down and try to get it written out as much as I can. And you're right about feedback. In the past, when I wrote a couple of essays for school and I got feedback from classmates and the teacher on the first version, I tried to answer every point made in my own words, and it definitely improved the depth of my work (and my grade).

And by detailed outline, do you mean an art of the character? And I recently bought a wacom cintiq, which makes drawing 10x faster. Because of this, making a manga isn't too time consuming for me. I can post up some of my arts later today after work (gotta go in 30mins) and see if u're somewhat interested.

The art might give me ideas (in fact that's what I do with my credits pages), but I'm not good enough to write a full story from the art outline.. I meant a detailed story outline. Whenever I've written my own stories in the past, while I think they sound good, they always end up fairly short and lacking depth. And that's why I said I would probably need help fleshing it out.

And for some reason, I never got into Fairy Tail. Ironically, I got into the prequel of it, Rave Master from the same author. XD I would volunteer to help, but I don't know Lucy and Levy too well that I might mess up their characterization and facial expression.

Well, my idea could probably be adapted to an original, I just wanted to see that pairing. Maybe when I see your sample, I'll get some ideas from it.

If I have a detailed outline in front of me, I can turn it into good writing (I like to think). I don't know about original writing though, and my artistic skills are poor and time consuming.

Even so, I have an idea for a Fairy Tail doujin with Lucy x Levy that I surely would like to see happen, especially since I couldn't find any Lucy x Levy doujins no matter how hard I looked. I know pretty much how the heart of it would go, but I would probably need help with fleshing out the rest of the story as well as drawing it.

When the apparent breakup happened, since it was only halfway through the story, I was given hope. A very good read.

I agree that the Moe Pig didn't mean any harm, I think he doesn't even know about her sister. But I think Momoji heard it as a direct attack on her bro... sister. She seems to kind of still think of hi... her as a cross dressing guy. And so her sister must have given up any strength or responsibility, in other words, become worthless. She cares about her sister and knows she's not like that, so she got angry.

By the way, I hope we all know that cross dressers are not like that, and also that cross dressing and trans are two completely different things.

Something she said once makes me think that it's more than just how much the body is producing and how much you're taking. It seems estrogen and testosterone interact with each other and other hormones in some way, affecting the levels in the body. I think it's like that. I have no idea of the details.

Your brain, regardless of genitals, produces enough to get by just fine in most cases. Ovaries make a little too, but obviously trans women don't get that bit.

That's explains it. One trans woman I know complained to me that after surgery, when they stopped giving her androgen blockers, her testosterone rose to above normal for a cis woman. They had to put her back on it and she's been taking it ever since. I wondered how that could happen.

I'm actually curious here as I've only known 2 trans-women in my life. So does anyone know if prior to having bottom-half surgery, do trans-women actually use their "male equipment?"

There are a fair number of cases where the trans woman in question either doesn't completely hate their penis, or for various reasons, elects not to have bottom surgery. Either case would and should not deter her from being considered female. What's inside one's pants isn't what reflects everywhere else, after all.

I've known several trans women and I can tell you that their sexually varies just as much as the general public. I'm am sure that some can't stand using the member that way (or at all). And I am also sure that some are just fine with it (I do have pertinent details to support this, but I'm not making them public), since after all, it's the relationship that counts, not the equipment. And that definitely does not make them any less female. An additional note, in many cases (but not all), once hormone replacement therapy starts, a trans woman becomes physically incapable of an erection. Though I gather from the story that Kashiwa has not started therapy.

But all of this is beside the point. Kashiwa is either OK with it or not; we simply aren't given enough to know. Her sexuality is not tied down by what group she belongs to.

Maybe I'm just being really dense today or... That last page, are they traveling together or is she just there to say bye?

Satsuki seems to be taking just the backpack that she's wearing, so the large suitcase must belong to Kobayashi, and they must be traveling together.

I obviously don't like Uozumi much because not only is he not likeable, but he's always present. But I agree, my eyebrows went way up this chapter, I can understand the little sister that is friend with Uozumi having some thoughts and doubts about him but... Kashiwa? Where the hell did this come from, really? Total disbelief about this plot twist.

Uozumi is at best a clueless jerk, but if the plot line requires that Kashiwa likes him at least a little, then she will like him whether or not it makes any sense or if it fits her character. That is simply the way of fiction in many cases. Nothing we can do about it.

But actually there is a potential reason. He is the first male that she ever thought of that way. It's an involuntary reaction to being confessed to. And sometimes a person will find themselves a bit attracted to that first such person without any rhyme or reason. Of course if I was Kashiwa, I would run screaming in the other direction the moment it occurred to me.

Edit: And yes, that was exactly what happened with my first love. The very first girl (in the second grade) that I ever thought of as a potential romantic target, shortly thereafter I was deeply in love with her. I didn't know anything about her, and she was hardly the only pretty girl in the class, but that changed nothing. Of course she wasn't a jerk like Uozumi, and I wasn't suddenly liking a boy after liking only girls.

I understand the Cheating tag. It could be argued either way. I like most of what I see in Wildrose, but this one left a bit of a bad tasted in my mouth. I don't care for stories where they clearly want to be with each other and end up doing something else.

By the way, it seems to me that that senpai is just taking advantage of her and even actively trying to block them getting together, even though she just wants to use her. I don't like that senpai.

the moment Natsuki put her head to her pregnant mom's belly and since the last chapter was tagged as HET I kind of figured it would end like that Oh well, atleast the characters are "happy" at the END Although if that last kiss implied adultery.......I don't know how to feel about it

I know a woman who has both a husband and a girlfriend; they all know the situation. They seem to be fine with it and they seem pretty close, so if that's what is going on here, it's not necessarily bad. Of course after reading that ending, I couldn't decide if that actually is the situation.

I think you've passed a point of no return when you start losing interest in het manga/anime... I need that spicy/sweet flavor of yuri (and even yaoi sometimes).

I still like the het manga/anime that I liked before I found yuri, but it's hard for me to work up the interest to try new het titles, no matter how good they are supposed to be.

I agree with these comments. In July, I'm sorry to say, I looked at this story after seeing these comments; It wasn't worth looking at and I'm glad I don't remember it very well.

But I thought I would point out a different age gap manga with a young girl that is the opposite of this manga in every conceivable way. http://dynasty-scans.com/series/hoshikawa_ginza_district_4. The adult in Hoshikawa is always thinking of the best interest of the child and trying her hardest to fulfill it (including protecting her from her own lust).

Don't bother with This Kid is Mine, instead read Hoshikawa Ginza District 4.
