I can't believe I gave in and bought Dishonored 2 on PC anyway despite telling myself not to since launch because of the optimization issues. But what's more unbelievable is that it's running really well. Aside from one or two moments in Karnaca, it doesn't feel like it's dropping frames at all. Granted, I haven't used an fps counter yet since I started playing, but it feels as smooth and responsive as the first game. I've also set the preset to Auto to be safe, and it set everything to high with 1x TXAA, so that's probably what helped the most. The game actually looks really pretty even with these settings, although it is a bit blurry at times. I must also mention that I did come across a single instance of audio cutting off at the very beginning of the game, but it hasn't happened since.

Quick Tip: Definitely don't turn on Vsync despite the devs telling you to do so to help with performance, the input lag is very noticeable. Also turn mouse sensitivity waaaaay up. 15 is way too slow no matter what your preference is.

About the game itself, I mean, it's more Dishonored. The guards do feel a bit smarter now compared to the first game; they seem to hear and see things farther and become alerted when the Wall of Light's power gets cut off or if a door has been left opened. I chose Emily, and while I did have to get used to her counterpart of blink since I can't hold it anymore to plan out where to blink, I must admit being able to pull enemies to kick them in the gut and knock them out is pretty helpful. Very impressed with Clockwork Mansion with its transforming rooms.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that one of the most noticeable changes for me was that peeking isn't foolproof anymore. It does make you less visible, but if you do it while the guards are looking in your general direction, they'll notice you and start to become more and more alerted.

And I think ICEY has yuri....-ish? It's still unclear to me but, There's a female boss in the game that you can choose not to fight since she is actually harmless/not hostile and can be killed in one hit, and in the next room another female boss (who apparently has her memory/consciousness/self mixed in with the other female boss, and is actually armed and dangerous from the looks of it) also refuses to fight you as a result. The yuri comes in when the achievement for getting this outcome is called "true love". The narrator himself says this when he was baffled as to why the boss refuses to fight, and ends it with "Is it love?" The thing that's unclear to me is if it's love between the two bosses or does it involve Icey herself(The female protagonist that you play as) Either way, this game is really interesting.

I do like that Ran acts more like a fox spirit in this than usual, with the shapeshifting and imitating birds and somewhat inhuman voice (indicated by her word balloons).

Yeah, I appreciated this too; nice to see this side of hers once in a while.

ICEY is a really cool game I somehow randomly came upon on steam. It's a side-scrolling action game (I think it's called beat 'em up? It has combos and counters and all that) that has a narrator in the same vein as Stanley Parable, except this narrator is speaking in...I'm guessing Chinese? Really cool hand drawn artstyle and animation too. Plus barely an hour into the game I already got an ending where I came upon an unfinished room and the developer/narrator pleads for my sympathy by showing me the other contents that had to be cut during the apparently 10 year development of the game, and asked me to buy another copy and give it 5 stars. Even if you're already tired with all of the meta games, the gameplay alone is more than worth the price.

And it's really cheap too, so there's that.

I never said Kyubey was evil; it's one of my favorite anime character and I find it likeable somehow.

I believe the reason why people find it so evil is because it's not even fiendish nor is it an antagonist.
Unlike a normal villain, kyubey's intentions aren't even bad, on the contrary. It's just that [meaningless] things such as justice, good, evil, empathy, love or any emotions don't even occur it.
This total lack of emotions makes it more evil than any villain, and because Kyubed'd use any means to achieve its goal, and being manipulative or tricking innocent young girls doesn't bother it, he doesn't even realize it will bring them sorrow and pain, Kyubey only thinks according to balance, like a cold, calculative and hearltess machine.

Yep, never said you called it evil either. I also understand why people would think he's evil, even though I personally think the lack of malicious intent doesn't make it more evil than something that actually is malicious.

It's Kyubey, from one of the most awesome series I've ever seen, Puella Magi Madoka magica.
Only his look is cute, "clothes don't make the man", or in that case the incubator.

A lot of people view him as evil for his apathy, although someone like dung beetle from Bokurano who is actually aggressively hostile and evil towards people around him is way worse imo.

It was one day of ban. Pretty tame for something that the mod says isn't even the first time.

To end this rather heavy discussion on a more positive note, I'd say that maybe give Utoptia the benefit of the doubt. I mean, if they really disliked or were uncomfortable with Netsuzou Trap (Is this right? I can never be sure of that spelling of Netsuzou) to the point of hostility, surely they would politely say from the beginning to move the discussion onto the specific discussion thread; which I'm certain Serena and the others would understand. I'd rather not think that they were being actively hostile or anything like that.

^No, that's completely fine, that makes a lot of sense. I'm pretty sure people create tumblr blogs solely dedicated to one fictional character and fictional pairings, so it happens. It's also why I've seen essays that cover the entire page or even span multiple pages discussing why a pairing works and why this particular character is great. It actually gets pretty in-depth.

Glad to see more of their works; this was great too.
