For this time, her monitor screen got glitched and didn't work so she had to go take a new one from her family summer cabin. Usually I just assume that she is too tired from working or she went out with her friends, as much as I would like her to tell me where she goes everytime, she tends to forget about it anyways.

And we met on Google+ actually. 1 awkwardly shy Hangouts msg sent from me and we just started talking and eventually got together ^ - ^ Both of us just got out from a failed relationship at that time so I guess that connected us aside from our mutual likes and interests.

^ I think I roughly get what you're looking for now...unfortunately it is pretty rare for such yuri series to be made in the recent years; and while I've never really been bothered by it but I can get where you're coming from.

What mangas would you like to see being animated though? I personally would enjoy Goukujou Drops being made into an OVA series or anime, as well as LOVE/DEATH - more so the latter because it is hilarious.

True. I think many ppl in the movies/TV/anime communities have a tendency of mistaking something that is well received for being something that is "objectively" good instead of just seeing it as the general consensus of "good".

I've never really watched any of Gigguk's reviews tbh, although from what I've heard before his way of reviewing seems to be rather balanced in a way that doesn't show any kind of bias. On the topic of anime YT'bers though, what's everyone's following list like? I personally tend to watch stuff from Akarda (Glass Reflection) whenever he uploads them, and for episodic stuff per season I usually follow Chibi Reviews if he is covering any anime I am watching for reviews, and Sun Wukong/Memory NK for live-reactions.

But, given my criteria for every season is basically "don't bother picking up anything that doesn't contain yuri subtext and an all girl cast", it's rare for me to find any reviewers covering what I watch weekly if at all; and Yurination's blog (of which I personally don't really like to visit since we share fundamentally different views on the 7th Sono Hanabira game), doesn't really do reviews rather short recaps. Which usually leaves me with my own episodic thoughts if I so incline to write them weekly on my Tumblr blog*.

*I hardly doubt anyone other than my gf actually reads them, but I enjoy writing them every week, it really helps to consolidate my thoughts on things.

The end of days must be near, I actually agree with That Anime Snob on something for once, hell, even Digibro shares the same sentiment as TAS, and they've been (onesidedly) at eachother's throats since forever.

Also, this comment here seems really surreal after watching the "Objectively Good doesn't exist" video from Digibro.

...he's desperately trying to put down what is objectively one of the best shows of this season.

Anyways, I just finished listening to Digibro's "Objective Good doesn't exist" vlog and I agreed with everything that he has said, was quite an insightful video tbh.

For the battle, I think they could give a different opponent rather than just another fallen senpai, and maybe pair the girls with their senpais to defeat it.

If you think about the anime entirely as Saya's character development arc, it does make some kind of sense that Hinata was the final opponent given that she was the one that kickstarted the main plot of the anime. But still, I agree that having more scenes of the girls and their senpai fighting alongside eachother as well would've been nice.

To be honest, I wish there were more mature yuri shows. These moe shows are good, but not something I personally like.

As much as this would be nice I wouldn't really count on it. Still, on an off note, have you tried Kuttsukiboshi? It's a 2 ep OVA but it's rather character driven. IIRC, the Candy Boy OVAs from a few years back are also not so high on the "moe" aspect.

Anyone else planning on watching Hibike!Euphonium ? I'm kinda excited for it. I haven't checked the rest of the Fall Anime, I usually decide to pick them when they come out and I see if I find their style and characters interesting enough.

Tbh Im not watching it.

Never was a biggest fan of KyoAni works, besides, unless they decide to stray from the books and actually make the yuri in the anime canon I don't see the value of picking it up. Fair note of advice though, if it does follow the book, stay away from r/anime discussion threads.

In other news, now that Qualidea Code has finished airing, I might marathon it if the yuri pairing in the anime stays that way.

Edit: I take back what I said in the previous post, Ange Vierge might actually get 1st place on my AoTY list, that final ep was amazing. So far, this final ep has set the bar for Regalia to beat in the fall, I'd really be interested in seeing if ep 5 to 12 can go beyond what the prologue arc delivered.

For anyone interested, this is how the list looks like currently:

1) Ange Vierge
2) Regalia
3) New Game / Fall 2016 entry
4) Fall 2016 entry / New Game
5) Fall 2016 entry / New Game

Base-line: Kabaneri

Kabaneri is setting the standard for recent anime, so my enjoyment will have to be on par or exceeding what it delivered for it to be ranked; if anycase, if nothing else in Fall meets the standard (unlikely), Kabaneri will be ranked 4th on the list after New Game. New Game has a rather unique situation in this case being an anime that is also exceptionally good this season but not quite as enjoyable as Ange Vierge was. The most likely rank that New Game will receive is 3rd place, but, depending on how Fall 2016 delivers, this can either change to 4th/5th place accordingly.

Side Note: I never include Winter season into my list because it doesn't count as within the year, however, any anime that I enjoy will set the baseline for Spring when the list officially starts. For the case of 2016, the baseline for Spring 2016 was Koukaku no Pandora.

Posting this here for what I will pick up next season. Hopefully there'll be at least one anime that I can rank in my AoTY list later on.

Ange Vierge is definitely at least 2nd place for best anime I've watched so far this year, with Regalia being slightly behind but likely taking 1st place once it officially resumes.

Now you're just going off a slippery slope here with this one.

It's amusing how ppl default to using the slippery slope fallacy when talking about such topics. You hear the same argument from ppl that are against same-gender marriage, "oh next it'll lead to beastiality being legal", "oh next it'll lead to [insert something here]".

Again, I don't really see what is that wrong about such a topic in friction, actually, even IRL I wouldn't bat an eye if a girl is dating her sister; rather I would wish their relationship good luck and hope they find happiness down the line.

^ Ah, so you prefer your gear to be actual armours and the likes, I can understand that.

It's rather the complete opposite for me in that I just want my chara to look as cute as possible XD And most of the default armours don't really deliver on that aspect.

edit: Tbh, I would've preferred if the FoA questline focused more on the yuri love story aspect and made us search for clues to where Syona had gone missing before the midway point of the story, it would've made the main antagonist a much more despicable character and made the story more impactful*. I don't get why they had to add that extra popori that served nothing but made the story cringe worthy whenever he is around.

Still, TERA has some really good lore and storylines: I particularly enjoyed the Traitor in Velika and Race against Thulsa storylines, which encompasses lvl 11 to 58. In fact, I highly recommend anyone starting out in TERA to pay attention to those 2 storylines, they're really well-done.

Indeed that the older classes are quite unsatisfactory to play with. I played a sorc for a bit and left it at lvl 55 because the grind + constant dying became irritating and took my enjoyment away.

And I guess we've to disagree on the final 2 points lol, I love the Elin race and find them to be one of the more innocent aspects of TERA in contrast with the other female races. And actually, the fact that so many outfits are RL inspired like school uniforms is what makes outfit collecting appealing to me.

Atm all of my characters are wearing uniforms, ranging from 8k to 28k for the most expensive one so far.

side note: on the negative side of things, I really dislike the Popori, so much that I deleted their sound files just because they sounded grating even with the JP voice patch. Needless to say, I didn't enjoy the Fate of Arun 60 - 65 questline because of the popori that kept trying to come between the yuri OTP between Zolyn and Syona.

Im mostly solo'ing on TERA atm, can't do any sort of true highgame dgs but it's not something that I'll get bored of since there're like so many outfits in game. Most of post-65 game solo/duo consists of doing dalies for gp and gearing or buying more outfits, which I guess can be a turn off for some.

Very much ageed that the combat system is amazing though, it's engaging and makes the game worth playing for me imo. Plus all the new classes are quite enjoyable to play, like the Ninja and Brawler classes.
