Well not sure about Sungji being more mature. I'd call her more emotionally stable. Because her life was way easier than Sumin and Seju's.
It's way easier to fall into emotional traps when you are really burdened by all these situations

I Agree MacySan . She seems to be the most stable emotionally. Sumin and Seju's had a challenging life & depended on each other emotionally. They can't live without each other but don't want to work on "being together". Sungji is the only one who can see that, and started to realize that its not her place. & that she's not in love with Sumin, the way that she thought.
Dawoon is the only one that understand Sungji & can be as gentle & nurturing as her.

The birthday came back, Sungji is slowly withdrawing & the ending is looking clear now; Seju & Sumin will end up having only each other & forced to work on their problems , as Sungji walks away gracefully.

However, The first chapters was all about Sungju figuring out her "feelings" toward Sumin. Only In (Ch13) she realized that she "likes" her. They went out together, developed an emotional connection, then took along time to actually have sex (Ch 42). I know that you believe that this "emotional connection" is based on Sumin's look; which means that Sungji shallow but not necessarily "sexually interested".

Bottom line, Sungji is really odd. her reactions are odd. I find it challenging to read into this character as easily as i can read into Sumi's or Seju's character.

If the writer was predictable, this scenario is the most probable to happen (if Sumin had the slightest respect to Seju's feelings), which she isn't. Sumin can be very slow,dull & cold in her reactions toward Seju. In other words, when Sumin notice that Seju's feeling is hurt, she does not react as quick as she should.

1. Sumin goes after Seju but bumps into Sungji which causes her to miss whatever happens to Seju

1. Sungji actually does run into Seju and they finally talk

If the writer was predictable as well, this scenario can also happen. The 3 of them need to be seated in a therapy session & they finally talk it out. It would be interesting if there was a therapist in the story, because all 3 of them are messed up.

1. Sungji runs into Seju and Sumin arguing, reads the situation wrong and we get a threesome

I was talking about this with Amy_85 last night, I don't agree that Demisexuality is a degree of Asexuality.. it's rather in between. Asexual will desire 0 sex, this is not the case with Demis who feel sexual attraction and enjoy it with very very close partners whom they formed a bond with.

One of the many things that the writer was not clear about, was definitely Sungji's odd behavior. Thanx for pointing out "Eccentric Personality", it did explained a lot of Sungji's odd behavior. I have few asexual friends; they experience deep emotional connection but never want to be touched & certainly don't enjoy sex, Not even out of curiosity. She may be demisexual though, because the moment she saw Sumin she was interested and as as she developing a connection with her, the sex won't stop. In my opinion, the most common sexual orientation for women is demisexual, we tend to form a strong emotional connection in order to enjoy the sexual experience.

• chap. 70 was awkward love making. Sungji was in to it - regardless of the reasons why - but Sumin was not. It was obvious that Sumin tried to make this "work-out session" go smoothly ;p but her body does not react to anyone but Seju & for ever will be like that, no matter how hard she tries. Honestly, If it was real life, i would really think that Sungji & Dawoon would have a romantic relationship of some sort; as they have a special bond since they knew each other for a long time & had beautiful memories. Also, Dawoon is gentle & more respectful to Sungji. She really knows how to communicate with her. Something that Sumin could never do, not ever with the person she love the most for yeaaaars "Seju".

However, in my opinion, Nami don't stand a chance with Sungji O_o as she's is pushy, persistent & very obvious about her interest in her. Given Sungji's personality , this is not appealing, too boring.
