That was my favorite part, too. If Haruko had asked Natsuko this with no explanation, she'd probably freak out.

Btw based on what some people are saying in this thread, it looks like some of them are about to start hating on this manga, please don't open this door, since the very first chapter I haven't seen one negative opinion towards this manga, some people are thinking they are getting baited or teased or something because they started it with the hope of it being yuri, this manga is already plenty cute and fun without the yuri. i mean, the romance would straight out kill the charm and the point of this manga.

I am kind of in the same boat as you, only I do not think romance would straight out kill the charm of this manga. It would just be a whole other dimension to Natsuko and Haruko's already complicated relationship. Still, you're right, this manga would be plenty of fun even if they never got together (whatever "getting together" would mean for them). It continues to be one of my favorites because I'm attached to the characters and look forward to what funny swap-related shenanigans they get themselves into, not because I'm rooting for them to confess every chapter.

I mean, ultimately, it's a story about Natsuko dealing with her feelings. Haruko would almost certainly go out with Natsuko if she asked, but the question hasn't even come up. As soon as she accepts those feelings and asks Haruko out, the "will they or won't they" is pretty much over.

This is impressively good, and an interesting dynamic for a detective story.

I can't help but see the characters as Animal Crossing characters, though.

This chapter was fun, and cute. I just wish they start picking up the pace. 31 chapters, and we're still in the just good friends, with strange benefits, stage.

On one hand I agree, but on the other hand, seeing all the little details of their day to day lives with each other makes it seem more romantic somehow.

I'm glad they finally performed some science. I'm also really glad we have never learned why they can swap because the series doesn't really need a reason.
