Just reading this after playing some Life is Strange. Love the camera theme I got going on tonight. :)
Episode 3 is set to be pretty gay...

Well that was...sudden.
The sex was beautiful though. Going straight into my 'nom' list.

Well I was able to ignore the aspects of this doujin that I'm not normally so fond of because I don't get to see Sayaka's body drawn like that very often. Worth it.

AND MAN SAYAKA WAS DRAWN SO WELL!!11

I KNOW RIGHT?!

Aw, normally reading another chapter of this manga for the first time puts me in a great, squeeful mood.
Kinda got that feeling somewhat this time...but moreso felt sad when i realized it just doesn't happen like this in real life, does it?
Blegh i picked the wrong night to read a chapter of what is probably the most cute, sweet, romantic yuri out there. XD

Love how Homura is telling Madoka not to break the fourth wall on page 13.

TONS of pages for romance, and tons for the explicit sex.
Cute couple-discussion-time and lot's of fetishy moments during sex.

Perfect.

This doujin has everything.

Sango seems to be pretty proper holding Ayame's breast down that slide, right? Was that really so accidental/innocent?

and ironically learning it through being hit in the face with heterosexuality.

Then again, IRL, isn't that how a lot of us come to this realization?

Sorry if this is overly long and massively redundant, but I felt that I needed to go through all that myself to really understand where things were. Frankly, I felt that Sacchi was horrible and being unfaithful to Ruki the first time through. Reading the chapters as they come out, I had forgotten how uncertain the relationship was. It seemed like they were a couple when, in reality, they were not. They were friends with benefits, and, it appears, that those benefits were really only on Ruki's side, as Sacchi was totally not into the sex they were having.

Thanks for this, reading your comment has made me realize that i need to re-read the manga in one go from the start. I was under the impression that the two were in a relationship (albeit an unhealthy one) and so Sacchi was betraying Ruki's trust but that was from reading the chapters as they came out which probably left it more misleading. So Ruki's hurt seems to be more from the person she was in love with not being serious about her (until now) and being with someone else, which is unfortunate but it's not really cheating (at least it doesn't sound that way). Still think the relationship could be problematic judging by how Sacchi seems to view Ruki (weak) but from what you are saying it doesn't seem that Sacchi was betraying Ruki and so the ending is somewhat less unsatisfactory now. ^-^;;; I have been thinking about buying the manga in French and i suppose i have a good excuse now that i want to read it all again and clarify things. :)

But yeah Remi's still a dick. :P

It's unhealthily realistic and that's why I love it.

And that's why i read Shuninta.
Admittedly, this manga eventually ended up cutting like a knife. Can't say i enjoyed seeing Ruki getting into an unsatisfying (to say the least) relationship rather than finding someone to be happy with.
But normally i like my Shuninta for its less-than-ideal characters/romances.

OK, Shinobu... if she can keep such a straight face WHILE READING then you're just not doing it right.

Coming from someone who has no problem reading yuri that is not fluff and has been ensconced in this one from the beginning, this was horrible. For reasons that people have already iterated. I hope that Ruki (and Fue) end up happy.
Of course, the mangaka is entitled to write her story any way she wishes. It's not like she 'owes' fans anything. LOL
I don't have to like it all though. :P

I think the only satisfying thing for me in this manga will be Masa et Meru relationship... this is something I would never have believed at the beginning x)

YES. I think there should be a follow-up of those two in the conclusion. Would make for a much-needed antidote to see one happy couple out of all this. :D
Plus, i think the manga requires it because with everything else having fallen apart, it's something that did work out in the end. I think that if a narrative has nothing but a series of let-downs then eventually the reader/audience/whatever will give up on caring eventually, plus while real life is often not fluffy like most yuri, if it were to only be a series of disappointments with nothing working out then that would not be a realistic portrayal either.

Ah god. Only ten pages into this chapter and the author is making it so hard by bringing up all the fond memories. Bleh.

Really interesting.
Way more complex than what I thought. Lot of boxes created to put specific variations in.
I wonder why nobody talks about the fact that some of them might be taking testosterone injections.
To answer to your question, I don't know if it is rare; but it does feel like when you're more a tomboy than a fem, you also have to come out as a bottom oriented one. Kind of scary.

I just watched the actual documentary and was pleased to see it mentioned the film Yes or No. I have actually seen that. :)
I suppose ultimately, even though they may be taking T they still don't identify as men and I have watched an interview with a cis woman who took T for a few months solely because she wanted a deeper voice. Which sounds like a fun idea, I don't particularly like my somewhat girlish voice but would be terrified of other changes if I were to go on T. :D
Yeah, that tomboys are assumed to always be tops (or that they have to be) is sad. Then again I have heard that not all femmes are necessarily tops...though I suppose there is less stigma choosing a more dominant role (there is no 'top shame' as there is 'bottom shame').
Also was very surprised to hear there are 'gay toms' who like other toms. Reminds me of the way a small amount of MoC women in the west prefer other MoC women as opposed to more feminine women. Though from what I have read being, as some call them, a 'fag butch' or 'faggy dyke' is stigmatized even in the queer community. I've heard it described as 'being gay within the gay community' and that such folks have to come out twice, once as gay, then as someone who is into MoC women. So I wonder if there is that discrimination of 'gay toms' in Thai queer culture.

Masculine-of-Center. So butches, studs, bois, tomboys, soft butches, stone butches...

Well, she doesn't always want them to be happy. She did say that she'd considered having Mari and Akko separate at the end since she likes dramatic endings.

Oh dear god my heart wouldn't have been able to take that fuck.

You list lesbians, toms and dees seperately. Do you mean to say that toms and dees are not exactly lesbians, they are another sexual identity in Thailand, separate from lesbians?

I think it's like our tomboys, butch, fem, ultra fem....

This just showed up on my facebook newsfeed this morning: http://www.buzzfeed.com/skarlan/this-documentary-explores-thailands-queer-tomboy-culture#.dmEwGgPLy
So toms and dees must be not seen as lesbians then.
"You have to have a flat chest." Must be tough for some. Either have said flat chest, bind your entire life, get top surgery or go home. :-/ Have yet to watch the actual documentary.

Since we're on the subject of MoC queer women, i've been wondering...how do people feel about submissive MoC queer women? Or those that are more versatile bottoms? Like do they exist? OK, dumb question, of course they do, but are they (we?) as rare as i think?

Yuri is taking over the world! Maybe we should get something along the lines of a 'non-Japanese' or 'world yuri' or 'mawha' tag or something?

in Thailand women shouldn't smoke. It's not good.

No comment, just wtf. Don't want to read this now.

Apparently it's the same in Russia, according to a Russian lady with whom i used to work.

As far as I know, the percentage of smokers in Russia is huge - if I remember right, statistics show that about 30% of women and 50% of men smoke.

Last year we had a new law installed that forbids smoking in public places. Personally, as a non-smoker, I'd say about damn time. TBH, I don't mind it when people smoke...tobacco. As in, pipes and good stuff. But cigarettes give off that awful sticky smell that will stay in your clothes forever.

Still, I guess there is some gender discrimination there. While both male and female smoking is viewed negatively, female is more negative.
Still, isn't that true for many "sins" in most countries? While it's gender discrimination, I wouldn't say that it's "anti-female" - it goes against males just as much. Women are generally more shunned for any wrongdoings - but at the same time, men are almost expected to behave badly. "Ah, well he's a guy, of course he'd do this"...

I see. That does seem to be congruent with what she was explaining. She did say smoking was a filthy habit - she was more strongly against it than your average non-smoker - but at the time i put that down to her own personal views because she was very...classy? Like would not leave the house in jeans/trousers/leggings, it had to be a dress and heels but now that you say that it could well have been that smoking is viewed negatively in Russia full-stop. But yes, she was much more forgiving of men smoking than women. She was horrified that myself and the other female language assistants we were living with (from Spain and Austria) smoked. "It's just not what a lady does!" :D

I never knew how much I needed this.

Wait, adults can sleep with other adults??

That seems like such a novel (but brilliant) idea.

God! I didn't expect to found my country manga here!
(Cause many people in Thailand prefer Yaoi more than Yuri, that's why it's hard to find mangas, novels or one-shots that have Yuri even thought there are many lesbians, Tom[A woman that love girls and dress like man/boy], Dy[Prefer both man and woman])
Better dig this manga. (=゚ω゚)ノ

Wanted this to go on forever but tbh i knew on reading the penultimate chapter that it was heading for a conclusion, otherwise it would be plain dragging out. Was quite happy with it. One of Milk's cutest couples. And i love how the relationship is a non-issue for the mom.

Hmm.... KaorixHiro? Possibly?

I saw that too. ;) Spin-off, please, Morinaga-sensei!

Love how forward and honest Takako is. Not in the kind of way that would make you feel uncomfortable, imo. Just knows what she wants and is up front about it. The confidence is quite sexy.
