I am really not sure if I get all the significance of what's going on with the sister-in-law. Why would them moving back help a shut-in sister?

My guess is the mother-in-law thinks having Ayano around will act as an example that motivates the youngest daughter to get out of the house/pursue a career/live up to expectations. Based on Wataru's commentary on his mother this chapter, this will end up badly for everyone involved.

They aren't related, other than taking place at a beach, and there's no plot, just 3 gags. It's just one page too long to be uploaded to the images section.

Yuri tag is unsettling because they were portrayed much more like a "family" than anything else, also that kiss came out of nowhere

Itou Hachi seems to have taken an interest in stories like this. Compare this oneshot, it's another story of hers that is ostensibly oneeloli yuri, but reads like platonic mother-daughter bonding.

This talk about kids is very suspicious. Let me guess: now it will actually happen. At the most inconvenient of moments.

Why it's suspiscous ? They are both 36, it's normal to talk about child at their age.

I agree that it's foreboding, but I'm reading it as another plot device that drives the two towards admitting their marriage isn't as deep/genuine as they led each other to believe.
