Not exactly the kind of closure of Satake's love life as I'd hoped, but it'll do. I hope Satake would just forget about Umesawa and ends up with Torashima and spends the rest of their life together

The comedy is getting tiresome IMO

Spoilers about the next two chapters (not a summary of the content, but here's what it'll entail):

New character is introduced. Not about Sayo and Umesawa. Closure for Satake.

I just hope she doesn't have to go through the same thing a second time. There's only so much shit a person can take

Well, that was simple and straightforward. It's not confusing. On the contrary, it's quite predictable from the moment she said that she tried the bridge thing once.

Yes, it's true that the story is rather straightforward and predictable. From the artwork I also understand what's going on; there are much more artistically confusing works out there.
But it still is very poorly constructed: Changing settings and time in the middle of the page, scenes starting or ending in medias res or drasticly changing mood, all without or with very little indication.
Sure, there are stories or authors who use these techniques for great storytelling but unlike with, let's say, Shimura Takako, it doesn't seem that was the style Canno was going for.

Compare it to watching a well thought out fighting choreography in one movie and a sloppily cut fight in another. Sure, even with half a brain one recognises what who's moving in the room, who's punching who and where the weapons fall. But it just doesn't "flow" well.

At least that's what I thought of this manga. Opinions differ.

I think some, if not most of us agree that Canno's art is nice but the writing is bad

I'm shocked that Canno decided to write a one-shot instead of cramming more characters into their main story.

I wouldn't be surprised if the characters from her one-shots are included in AnoKiss where their (the girls' in the one-shots) arc is concluded, such as this

According to the scanlator it's published by the same online magazine that published Stretch. So you can expact a lot of short updates. and a trolling ending

I hope Satake could find happiness; that poor soul deserves so much better than being cast away like the black-haired girl from "A Dead End, After All". It's like in Canno's one-shots, everyone who is in love BUT is not the main character gets reduced to a million pieces of broken heart (then again there's only 3 at the moment so I could be wrong)

Despite my previous comments, I'm really hoping you're right, and that their arc would be long enough to satisfy those who were waiting for Shiramine & Kurosawa's development arc

They're just joking about this series' apparent complete inability to focus on its nominal main pairing for any length of time without diverting to something else.

The author's like a kid trying to focus on studying but always gets distracted by pretty much everything else around her IMO

A full Shiramine chapter... No new couples, big development, character progression.... OMG

Two ladies get into their train car. The next 245 chapters will follow their relationship before Shiramine becomes a reality

And then when the two ladies' arc is over, Shiramine's mother shows up and starts a 100-chapter long flashback of Shiramine's childhood

I feel both regret and happiness after reading this

I likened this manga to the motorcycle; it was being "constructed" (the story was being build up) at first, but then it "crashed" (it was cancelled)

Is there something wrong with ch. 5's pages? Madoka was drenched in one page, then all dried up in the next

Well, from my understanding, they're like Romeo & Juliet; they loved each other but they're on opposing factions. They hailed from different factions but were in love with each other. However, they were separated when war broke out between their factions. Now, they meet again at some point during the war for some negotiations but by now Minami had buried her feelings very deeply and refused to acknowledge her love for Anya and even Anya herself anymore. And of course that's just sad.

Both looked totally badass in military gear. Makes me wanting for more.

The little sister should've died or at least horribly injured.

Seems in most EliUmi doujin that I've read that includes Alisa, she always becones the wingman instead of a rival. Would be nice to read a doujin where the Ayase sisters compete for Umi's affection.

This reminds me of Dowman's work about two girls trying to have a baby by performing a ritual at a love hotel. Both are awesome.
